Elsa had paused in her trek for the ship to listen to the goings on. Curious about this tale of ghouls, she eavesdropped tactfully, studying a mug of ale in feign fascination.

Rachel looked to Katherine, she was getting drunk again... Though Rachel really shouldn't be talking, she still had the headache from drinking out of jealousy back when Katherine was recruiting new workers. "Ghouls you say?" she said to Katherine just before Gabriel spoke up.

When Gabriel spoke about his dream about a book he read, she was partly interested. When he talked about the crew being cursed pirates, she laughed softly under her breath. The sword at her waist shook again, she looked down at it for a moment as Gabriel said he saw a ship on the horison that looked like the ship from his dream.

Rachel spoke to Gabriel, "Are you sure your mind isn't just playing tricks on you?" she said softly, "I doubt there are such pirates out on the seas," after speaking, the blade shook harder. The blade itself was evidence that strange things do seem to happen, Rachel thought about it for a while.

She then looked to Katherine, "His story does seem like it's fake, but I have seen stranger things than curses," she sighed, trying to not take sides on the matter.

Miyuki, as well, Listened to the story as she watched a bar maid come and place a simple glass of water infront of her, something she was hoping would be free.

But, the talk about a Cursed ship with pirates that weren't human quickly made her think. Would they be Cursed because they were in fact Ghouls, or were they Merfolk or Dragonkin? Of course, something about it made her think it was Ghouls. But, she did know, but continued to look down at the deck.

She quietly sipped her drink and relaxed her body, since the atmosphere seemed to be more relaxing than she would have thought.

Rabbit hunched back in his chair again, ear strained to hear the re-telling of the story about the Cursed Pirates. Ghouls? Cursed Pirates? What a horrible sort of thing to have stumbled across.....
He couldn't really help but hope that they were wrong, that such a thing could -not- be real, for how could such a thing exist? That non-humans existed was one thing, but for a man to stop being a man? That was....somehow worse than anything else, and he casts a sidelong look to Fawkes and Aurora, looking for their voice on the matter.

Miyuki soon grew bored, and was glad to see that water was nearly empty. She moved up and pushed her chair in, and tried to not mess up of knock something down.

As she moved, she continued to listen to what was being said about the Cursed Pirates, it was very weird. But, her thinking caught her mind off of what she was doing and the next thing she knew.

Bam..

She hit one of the chairs that, one person from the group of people who was talking earlier, was sitting in, and felt herself fall on the floor. She couldn't tell who's chair she hit, but feared she would get beat pretty fast.

I guess, That was one problem being on land, she fell often since the floor was too.. hard you might say and she often got stuck and fell down.

Catching Rabbit's look, Fawkes shrugged with a slight smile, "I guess... It's really hard to believe. If they're not any of the races we have, then saying that they are 'ghouls' will not be wrong... However, have you seen one before?"

He nodded as three cups of ale was placed one their table, and waited till the bartender was out of earshot. Looking at Rabbit again, he continued, "I've heard rumors, of a ship captained by a dragonkin... I've seen elves abroad the Dementia, and even in Divvytown. We've met Kailani, and now, apparently, someone else had dropped in on us as well..."

He hesitated, casting the merfolk a glance, "Hey... You... Alright?" Kailani had proved that not all the tales about the other races were true, and this one... Don't seem too dangerous, but looks can be deceiving.

Miyuki felt herself fall, and the pain was very slight in her now red knees. She looked up at the woman who was speaking and responed quitely.

"I'm sorry for that, I'm afraid I can be quite clumsy on land." She said quitely, as she then turned and bowed her head to the lady Captian.

"I'm sorry for intrupting that occured Ma'am." She said in musical voice as she then turned to the one speaking. "And has been myth of that .. Cursed ship you speak of otherwear, or only in this town?" She asked, now intrested in it.

Katherine ran a wet finger around the rim of her cup boredly as Gabriel recited his tale, hoping for an opportunity to slip in a wisecrack or two, but the lad was too careful and spoke too plainly. Confident that the master-at-arms would see it for the foolishness it was, the captain was more than a little surprised when Rachel didn't immediately scold the boy for telling tales.

She was about to ask the islander just what she had seen that was stranger than curses when the conversation was interrupted by the arrival of a merfolk woman. Katherine eyed the merfolk expressionlessly, taking in the oriental clothes and the familiar lilting tones of the race. Non-humans were not the captain's cup of tea at all, and even less so were those rude enough to barge in on a captain's table.

All good humour vanished, Katherine glared at all those around her, including those eavesdropping from other tables. "Whether this cursed ship has been seen here or Divvytown or on the bloody Thames, it is no concern of ours. Unless it has loot to plunder or a cargo worth fighting for, I don't give a damn. You should all know better than to believe such foolishness in any case."

With that, Katherine stood up abruptly and made her way out of the tavern, heading back towards the docks and her ship.

The redhead gulped at the Captain's exclamation; she had been caught eavesdropping. True, she wasn't very experienced in the art of deception, but she didn't think she was that obvious.

Elsa was glad this was a dream, long though it was seeming. Working for that woman for real would be very intimidating indeed. She lingered a bit longer, figuring that someone would lead her to the ship eventually.

Miyuki watched the woman Captian leave and bowed her head, but decided that ship from this city wouldn't be good at all. Maybe just going out for a while, and watching the sea would relax her a bit. She didn't need a fight anyways.

So, She moved over and started out as she looked back at her table she sat alone at, and the words the captian said. Foolish to believe that ... hm.... foolishness.. I'm afraid that' something I won't do, for that seems to real to know. For I am a damned thing as they could say.. But, I guess I'll keep on searching by myself. Maybe then I'll meet someone kinder. She thought as she moved back and went to her table to leave some small yen coins on the table and then headed out of the tavern, making sure to leave a different way than the Woman.

He jumped at Miyuki slamming into things, rendered breifly entirely mute by surprise and nerves, as he watches her in silence. Almost as strange as she is are the rather bizzare coins....or he thinks they're coins...she drops on the table. They just don't look right by his eyes. As she moves out, he shakes his head slightly, frowning at the strangeness of it all, and the general unpleasentrys from the drunken woman.
"Well.....that was......" he muttered, but trails off, looking after the two departed ladies. What an totaly different sort of character than Kailani....

Rachel glared at the clumsy merfolk for less than a second, then looked up to Katherine who was making yet another scene. Rachel sighed, she was sure that sometimethe Dementia wouldn't be welcome at any port, and if Katherine made more scenes that might be very soon...

Rachel turned to Gabriel, "I'll go follow Katherine, and see if I can get her to calm down a bit," she stood up, "if you want, you can stay here or go back to the ship," Rachel then walked out the door following Katherine, and trying to forget about that merfolk who should have been gutted and hung on a wall like the fish it was.

Gabriel watched Katherine and shook his head, he wondered why the fates made him join the Dementia and end up with her as a captain. Were they trying to taunt him, or just let him suffer some more like his father would have done if he had stayed in France?

Gabriel listened to Rachel as she got up and left, "Thank you," he said softly and also stood up. He then began to leave the establishment like the three before him, until he remembered that he had walked out on Wren without saying a word! He quickly ran through the open door to get back and apologize to her.

Fawkes paused, wrapping his fingers around the glass of ale. He shrugged before giving a reply, "Yes, very different... Not a very good first impression at all... Speaking of which, I hadn't seen Kailani since we had arrived here."

"....I have not seen her either." He noted, shaking his head. First impression? He hoped very much that this was his -last- impression of the drunken woman.... "...I hope, that she's alright. I wondered...perhaps she went back to the ocean?"
