Vice President of the Gardening Club "A sack dress? Pfft, those things went out of style in my home around the 1920s. And if you dress me up like a whore, Tonio might faint." Luz Maria joked. Sure she can be mean sometimes, but that's just how she is, it's part of her persona. She looked at the fashion magazines Francis showed her. Why would a guy carry these kinds of things around with him? he's just begging to get beat up. She looked through all of them. The women looked beautiful with those dresses he mentioned. Too beautiful. So beautiful, that it made her depressed. She can't compete with those women! She slammed her head on the table "Mierda! There's no way I can pull off any of those looks! I'm too ugly for those dresses, not to mention I can't afford them! I don't even have the proper body for those clothes. Oh, I'd give anything to have a body like... like..." She had to think long and hard about this. She didn't know too many girls... "Well, I can't say like that Ukranian girl. Not even the power of a thousand gods can give me a body like hers. it's impossible. She's every man's dream, and I'm every carpenter's dream." She didn't exactly have a flat chest, she had breasts, but they were'nt so big. She was a little smaller than an A cup. She sobbed on the table "Hermano's right, I am just a scrawny little monkey..." It was a cute nickname he gave her as a child, excluding the scrawny. I'm not a bad person, I just have bad luck...

Know why he carries them? Because he usually does have girls asking for these sort of trends. More commonly, he hears questions about specific designers, but that's not the point.
As Luz Maria beat herself up on the way she looked, Francis gathered the magazines. When he was sure she was done (for now), he gently placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Scrawny monkey? Now, I don't think Antonio would go so far as to call you scrawny, and you certainly do not look like a monkey. Just look! You don't have a tail~!" If she punched him for that, it would be worth it. After all, the joke was made in order to get her to not be so upset with herself.
"You know, there are plenty of girls in this school who don't look a thing like Miss Ukraine. And you know what, thank GOD for that. Sure, she's good to look at and she is as sweet as can be, but do you know how unspecial her look would be if everyone looked like that. Hell, even the way you look is special in its own way." He motioned for her to stand and have her do a slow turn for him. "Why, just look at you. Yes, you may not have a very large chest, but is that such a bad thing? A lot of guys prefer women with smaller breasts. And you might not have the widest hips in the world, but you still have an hour-glass figure that most women would kill to have. You have a slender waist. You're well toned, which a lot of people have trouble getting to be as fit as you are no matter their age or gender. You are naturally tanned. You have long flowing hair, so you could go with any number of different hairstyles if you took the time to try something new. You're tall, but not terribly tall. All in all, I'd say you're perfect as you are." Francis smiled and motioned for her to come close so he could tell her something. "I'll even tell you two great secrets that you need to know. First of all, these women you see in the magazine? All of their photos are edited. When they aren't, then it usually means they starve themselves and they tend to be nothing but skin and bones. Second of all, it doesn't matter what anyone says about the way you look. The one you should care most about is my sweet little brother Marcello and your wonderful big brother Antonio, both of whom love you just the way you are." ******************************************************************************

He was right, she may not look perfect, but as long as Marcello and her brother thinks she's beautiful, that's all that matters. God made her this way for a reason. What reason? Who knows? At least one person sees her as some sort of exotic flower, and that was the little Seborgan "Sometimes I don't get you...." she kept her face hidden, she doesn't like people to see her cry, she had a reputation to maintain "Why do you say all those nice things to me? Y-You don't have to, y'know? Did you forget I kicked the crap out of you years ago, and humiliated you in front of your own men? I'd understand if you say mean things to me... Francis was used to when his sisters cried for whatever reason, but seeing Mexico was kind of a scary thing. For one, it felt like there was a balance that had been ruined by Mexico suddenly being all upset about her appearance. Second of all, Antonio. If he saw, would he think Francis hurt her feelings and kill him?
It was at this time that Leah came over. Well, she seemed rather calm, so he figured he should just sort of feed off of that calmness and attempt to mimic it. He smiled to her, though it was slightly nervous and rubbed the back of his neck. "Oh! Leah! My cape. Thank you for that. Don't worry about the blood. I know from experience just how hard it can be to get out of clothes." The nervous laugh that followed almost sounded slightly similar to America's laugh... The thought alone made Francis's stomach hurt. "And please, Call me Francis. Mr. France sounds like you're addressing an old man." Well....
Well, he might still be a little worried he had broken Luz Maria, but at least he was calm enough so that when he turned his attention back to her, he didn't act like a scared little bunny rabbit... Well, as much of one. It really did bother him that Antonio might see and that pain would be the reward he got for trying to be helpful. "I know I don't have to be nice to you. I choose to be nice to you because I want to be a nice guy. Do you have any idea how many times I've gotten into a fight with other countries or how many times I've come out battered and beaten, covered in both my own blood and that of whatever enemy I faced? Too many times. If I held a grudge for each time I got a foot to my a**, I would be as isolated as England. Hell, I'm just now starting to get over my fear of Germans even though one of my best friends is West Germany. I can't blame him for what Ludwig did to me. And you know what, I'm also good friends wi- ... I'm pretty close to- ... Well, Ludwig doesn't torture me every time he sees me... And he hasn't made his dogs attack me in years..." Okay, so using Ludwig as an example of someone who handed the Frenchman's a** to him on a silver platter wasn't so great since the two of them weren't exactly close. Yeah, Ludwig tolerated him enough to allow him and Antonio to crash in the German house while hanging out with Gilbert, but there was probably still a long ways to go before Francis would stop having nightmares of Ludwig's dogs or crying every time he hears a large dog bark or growl. ******************************************************************************

He didn't drift far from the door as he looked, preferring to search a ta distance and hoping that Ludwig didn't catch him or something. What if the German lectured him for not going back to the dorm? He'd already gotten that talk from Chesa, he didn't need it to hear it again, especially when it would probably be at a much louder and harder to ignore volume. Besides, Ludwig had just suggested that Zeke go back to the dorm, he never really gave an order... not that he would listen even if Ludwig had done so. His gaze finally landed on Chesa and he nearly ran over to see her when he saw Antonio talking to her. A frown formed on his face, eyes narrowed slightly, but he sighed and leaned against the wall. He could be the better man and not interrupt them, or start throwing himself around Chesa like he usually did. Besides, the Serbian was still unsure whether or not she was mad at him.
