Well, at least he was doing some damage. Johan moved out of the way as the other students attacked the plant, watching as petals exploded out like brightly colored confetti from each blow to the hideous flowers. Guarding his nose with one arm, Johan nodded as a green-eye dog boil advised that they concentrate on one spot.
Lacking claws, Johan elected to continue pulling down flowers around the area they were attacking. The less of them, the better!

Perking up at Shun's voice, Xiu paused in the middle of another throw to look at him, nodding her head in understanding. She angled herself so that she could see keep an eye behind the ground, while ensuring that she could still help with attacking the vines.
"Y-you don't think anything really will creep up behind us though, do you?" She whispered to Mitsu, picking up a teddy bear this time and throwing it across towards the plant.
At least they had decent aim. Otherwise, Shun might have already gotten a few teddy bears to the head by now.

The bear hadn't done a terrible job but Mitsu thought she could find something else that might do better.
"O..okay." She nodded to Shun looking back momentarily. She wasn't sure what was coming for them but she hoped they could get the vines down before it got here.
Looking around again Mitsu found another sickeningly cute object amongst many on the floor. Pulling it back she chucked it at the plant hoping to do more damage.

The little kitty? The kitsune thought he was a little kitty?!
With an irritated huff, Jove tried to scramble out of the pit on his own, but he was a little too small to manage on his first, or even his second try. The poor pup had to take a running leap, landing on his belly at the edge and scrambling frantically at the ground before he was safely out. It was a terrible, embarrassing situation for the proud little foxfire, and his cheeks glowed around the pink kiss marks.
With a frown he trotted right past Ren and the helpful kitsune, determined to prove his independence. He didn't go back up the stairs though, instead he took the other path. But he refused to admit he was too nervous to try going back up.
Without glancing back he headed onward, noticing a strange, flowery scent in the air that grew thick enough to make his eyes water. Suddenly the ground rumbled again, just as he was reaching a large room where other students were beginning to attack what must have been the source of the scent. There were a couple familiar faces in the crowd, and Jove forgot to stay grumpy as he ran up to Demi with a wag of his tail. Then he joined in, giving the plant a good kick.
The other pup's battle was also his battle, right?

Throwing as many punches as possible seemed to working better, but it was also tiring her out..If not slightly liberating at the same time. Out of the corner of her eye she could see Shun was hacking away with some blades (were did he get those? oh yeah, he was a reaper. lucky)), and Cuinn was using his teeth to do the dirty work.
hmm.....
Momentarily stopping her punches, she lunched at one of the vines, grabbing it and sinking her teeth into the green plant. Dragons were known for having sharp teeth, and she was nod different. However, in this form they weren't very sharp at all.
Not to mention that the plant TASTED LIKE ABSOLUTELY CRAP. UUGGGHHH

Seriously. Was there no end to this infernal plant? Cuinn kept tearing away at the vines, hoping that his efforts, combined with those of the Reaper and the sharp shooting of the ghouls, would take it down before too long. The flowers were starting to leave a disgusting taste in his mouth. It was almost… sweet? The ghost dog had consumed a lot of strange things in his after life, and this had to be at the top of his “never touch again” list.
The others were talking and exchanging instructions. Cuinn would have tried to say something himself, but for now he couldn’t exactly talk. The canine’s tail swayed slightly when Poke dove on their enemy and began biting it as well.
Clearly he wasn’t the only one here with some animal instincts...

Fuaire gave a bemused smirk, cracking his knuckles in the process -- well, the knuckles that still remained, anyway.
"'Bout time, I guess."
He tried to pretend that he was ignoring the sarcastic comments from Poke and the reaper but somehow they gave him a sort of satisfaction. He was right, and he had the proper timing. Even if it was the most unfortunate way of being right -- really, who would be proud of jinxing the group and causing giant, eye-meltingly bright sweet-smelling vines to attack? -- he still narrowed his eyes with delight.
Let's see how rusty I am...
The Frez Drah lunged for the nearby vine, raking his hardened nails over the plant's...planty flesh and hoping to take out one of those atrocious-looking flowers...

The vines were unyielding. Levia frowned, but her single-minded determination didn't so much as waver. Her ears perked up at a comment, which was rather curious. Turning to Tsubaki, Levia quirked a brow, "Chimeras are promiscuous? However so?" Ignorance was bliss, yet here was Levia, eager to break down all walls of ignorance. A shame she didn't understand the reference was to others in their group.

Oh Death, oh Death, oh Death.
Why was Sin doing this to him?! Why did he have to be social, really? He didn't want to go to these festivities, what if something happened? What if he ran into Tahki? Oh, yeah, that would be great. Their date hadn't really gone as he had planned, he'd chickened out of the boating field trip, and it didn't take long for him to hear it though the gossip vine about who had gone to prom with whom.
Sure, it wasn't like she'd been his ghoulfriend or anything like that, but... He still kind of felt a little rejected by that. But he certainly wasn't going to tell Sin. She was nice when she wanted to be, but he kind of had the thought that she might point out that Tahki was a monster and that she wasn't really worth his time anyways.
Whether she really meant it or not, that kind of comment would hurt.
"I d-don't really think I w-will, S-Sin," he mumbled as she dragged him up to a tall boil who had been leaning against the side of the gaudy building. There was a stern frown on the blonde boil's face.
"H-hi."

Rosc wasn't sure what he thought of the boil Sin was dragging along behind her. Kid looked younger than he was, at least by the way he carried himself, and he looked half-bird. A monster? Could be a demon, there were kinds that looked more like animals. Knowing Sin, he probably was. She was too comfortable around the boil for him to be much else.
"Really, Sin? Dragging your friend to a haunted house? You sure he can handle this?" he asked in a volume leveled for Sin after his ghoulfriend linked her arm in the one he offered and pulled both boils into the house. Rosc'd bet half his fortune that if could see properly, he would see Julian was as pale as the moon.

As the vines were attacked they began to wreathe, shaking their petals but curling even tighter around their grips. They weren't giving up!
The center of the flowers began to emit a pink haze and the floral scent grew stronger and stronger. It didn't seem to have any affect on the students, but the rumbling that shook the walls and the beating flutter were growing more prominent.
Were the flowers drawing it closer?

Not hearing the whispering between the girls, Shun just focused on keeping up his attack. At least it seemed that the others who had gone up to attack in close combat were relentlessly striking as well.
Along with the shower, he was going to have to be sure to clean his daggers thoroughly later on. He didn't want fancy vine juices all over his blades for too long of a time.
He paused briefly when he heard the rumbling picking up. The scent had grown stronger too... or was that just his imagination?

That had done a little more damage! He ground his nails into the vine, reveling in the feel of it's pulse. That felt so good! Augh. It felt like he was tearing into the haunted house itself and letting out his frustrations. Foor good measure, he turned and rubbed his shoulder alone the length of the vine, covering it in the glitter that had be fouling him up ever since he'd entered this place.
His head began to throb as the scent grew stronger and it was getting hard to see amidst the pink haze. More pink. As if there hadn't been enough before this. Wtj was that rumbling? Faint felt himself start to get really anxious.

Zeke tried so hard to wrestle that vine, but hte bright colored blossoms distracted him. BLINDED him. Zeke fell to the floor and rolled a round until his eyesight came to. What the Jack was THAT?! Zeke was frustrated, but quickly calmed down. Baby! She should do the trick! Zeke remembered his darling revolver and pulled her out of his holster. Aimed at the vine, but the vibrant colors were too distracting.
A rumble. And the scent grew stronger. Zeke's sense of vision and harsh headache wasn't making him focus any better.
"If I accidentally shoot y'all I apologize!" Zeke shouted as he squinted his eyes to avoid some of the bright colors seeping through.
