Nana gave a surprised squeak and covered her face again. She didn't want to insult him by covering up, but it was her first reaction. "No. Something like this was reserved for pajamas at best. Never to be worn out." As she spoke, her voice stopped trembling. Almost if she didn't see him, the aftermath of what he was doing, she might be okay. "Here is the first place I've thought that I might be able to be attractive, to get your attention." She looked up at Matasoga, sincerity in her eyes. "It's the first time I've wanted something for myself. I want your attention, your affection."

His tone was soft, but still frank, though not nearly so much as his words. His tail had begun a slow, writhing dance as it swayed back and forth beneath his cape as he spoke.
"Then you shall have it," Matasoga said, only now letting his eyes take her in. "All that and more... If you can be patient and decisive. Not exactly qualities that the fey are known for, but if your desires persist for six months, then you shall have all that I am capable of giving."

Nana gave a small nod and relaxed again. "I highly doubt things are going to change in six months. Thank you. Your time is a gift to me, among other things." She tried not to focus on the fact that she had very little covering her, and turned red again. "Uhm... May I stop by my area and change? I don't want to leave your company."

He gave her another smile, still holding her and said "I'll walk you there."
And so he did, whereupon he kept her company for some time thereafter until slinking off to bed.
(Sorry this was so sudden, but I do need some sleep.)

Nana bid goodnight to him much later, flushed and happy. She collapsed back into the grass where she started the day, a massive smile on her face. Soon after she was back to her area in the barracks, and relaxing, reliving everything they had talked about over the course of the day.

Nana sat on a bench on the side of the gazebo, looking out over the stretch of grass and sunlight. She wouldn't darken as fast here, she mused, and smiled as she thought of Matasoga's comment that he liked fair skin. It wasn't much, but just enough to make her more reserved about lying out in the sun for hours on end. She whistled a small tune and the wind stirred, moving the flowers along with her song. Smiling, she stretched out her wings and got lost in her thoughts.

Before she realized what was going on, it was dark outside. She stood and arranged her hair, heading back inside the manor and to her area in the barracks. It was getting too small, and she had no privacy. Changing into pajamas quickly, she slid into the cot that she considered a bed and curled up, thinking about him yet again.

Rhapsodius walks out into the courtyard and looks out into the distance, using his hand to shade his eye from the sun. "It's been very peaceful lately.." he thought as he sat down on the ground and leaned by the wall. "It's not so bad.. but I miss being in action.." he thought as he let out a sigh.

Nana was out in the gazebo once again, enjoying the warmth of the day and the smell of the flowers around her. Stretched out on the floor, her wings were extended to their fullest, almost like solar panels to catch what wasn't blocked by the roof of the gazebo.

From a window Matasoga saw that Nana had emerged from her cocoon and had gone outside. He wasted little time in joining her. He took the elevator down to the first floor and strode toward her.
"Morning," he said as he stepped outside.

Nana was in his arms within a moment, smiling up at him. "Good morning. It's nice to see you up and about." She moved up on her tiptoes to kiss his cheek. "How are you? Did you have a good night?"

Matasoga frowned slightly.
"As usual, I was flying in my airship, hither and nigh to ply my Craft, mostly casting spells for those wishing to create love potions... The irony, no?" he said.
"Not having studied the potion creation process, I am never enough, on my own, but some eccentrics insist that a drop of draconic blood makes all the difference... And, unlike many other spellcasters, I deliver, which is how I still find work, in spite of my lack of study in that particular arcane discipline."
He smiled and suddenly began using a voice that was slathered with unconvincing insincerity, he added"Any rumors that I have, in any way, used arcane means to charm or ensorcel my clientele to call upon me for work in the future are categorically untrue."

Nana laughed softly and ran a finger over the corner of his smile. "You do a fantastic job of taking care of us here, despite any doubts others have. And besides, no one could get a better spellcaster than you. Or at least I think so." She kissed him once more and pulled him to sit down. "You usually don't come outside unless it's to track me down. I think the daylight offends you to some degree." Her fingers twined with his as she smiled at him. "Do love potions actually work?" she asked conspiratorially.

"Love potions," he began "absolutely work... At least in this universe. Of course the strength of the caster and the will of the drinker are both factors in the success of the potions. They certainly aren't infallible."
"Of course no enchantments will work on you." he said. "The odd way that human and fey blood have of mixing prevents it, giving you quite the immunity to such things," he said, a certain tightness barely perceptible in his voice.
