With the combat initiated, Cruxis's Ryuugan went to work, its detail orientation focusing both on memorizing features about the ninjas themselves and noting their combat styles. Unlike more combat oriented eyes such as the Sharingan, which would allow the user to copy techniques and use them as one's own; or the Byakugan which gave the ability to see pressure and chakra points, and through gentle-fist technique training subsequently shut them down; Cruxis's Ryuugan was not designed for use in combat. Its primary focus was on the gathering of information - one of the reasons he was placed as a Sensory and Tracking Ninja in the Academy. It wasn't for an ability to hunt others down, or an outright ability to sense enemies from miles away. It was the ability to step into an area, to look briefly upon imprinted images of the past, and give a general idea as to what had happened. Albeit, he had no ability to discern distance into the past; but he had been told that would come with practice. His sense of the present tense had also been mildly increased while the eye was active. As it was, Cruxis's Ryuugan gave him the ability to bring the world of the present tense into a greater focus. Single colors split into a dozen different hues; a simple beam of moonlight could allow him to see details as if it were a sunny day, and negligible details could be brought into light as more than they appeared. His vision range remained the same, but what was in range moved into greater clarity. The dark skinned man seemed to be putting out the most chakra of the trio; and clearly seemed to utilize that to his advantage with a series of powerful aerial taijutsu maneuvers. Taijutsu as a whole held a great tax on one's body - combining it with basic ninjutsu techniques also taxed one's chakra; thus combining them was often a one-way ticket to exhausting one's body and power supplies. To be able to merge the two into a fiery kick was an impressive maneuver; befitting his skill rank as a Chuunin to say the least! The third fighting entered within Cruxis's peripherals, and immediately Cruxis recognized the signature pale skin and jet black hair. A member of the Hyuuga clan - they all tended to look eerily similar to one another. Cruxis's suspicions were confirmed as the veins began to pulse in the man's eyes, before a massive cloud of dust and sand began to form within the area. Cruxis strained a moment. cupping a hand across his forehead to block the straggling sand. From the looks of it, the Hyuuga was planning to attack from the shadows, using his Byakugan as the trump card to see through the dust storm he had created. The Kaguya seemed to be in a temporary recovery from the massive kick sent towards him, and finally was back on his feet and was on the defensive this time; likely taking advantage of the Kaguya clan's infamous bone manipulation. Rumors spoke of them being able to make their bones as hard and durable as steel itself; although what effect this would have over a lake, Cruxis could not be sure. His own bone density might be his demise in this fight if he was not careful to mind his steps. 'Alright blondie... time for you to pull out something. You can't be expecting them to stay on a defensive strike from the shadow trick on ya.... No, you're going to pull out something to obliterate their defensive - if they'd focused on attacking you, they could have interrupted you or perhaps caused a slipup on your technique since you would be fighting two on one... But they didn't, it's all on you to give them that lesson.'He was not mistaken, as a series of fireballs erupted from the man as he charged into his downward plunge, blasting steam everywhere. Within the steam, he saw the clones form; each wielding a weapon which formed a piece of a double-edged spear... A weapon likely as deadly to its own user as it was to his enemies. As if that weren't enough of a threat, it held a powerful flame aura, enough for Cruxis to feel the simmer of heat within the air around him. Cruxis would readily admit that while he focused on the fire element, it was more the fires of his own mind which burned; rather than an outward blast. In this sense it made him read tomes and seek to expand his knowledge, as well as made him a deadly opponent on the genjutsu front. However, this side of the fire elemental spectrum was easily enough to overpower the unprepared. The Ryuugan-wielder debated stepping back for a moment, before holding his ground and focusing on the battle. He would not learn anything from running away... The Hyuuga was on the move, moving towards the forest for that matter. Cruxis muttered a small curse and activated his bukujutsu, taking to the skies and into the higher limbs of the tree he was near. It seemed as if the Hyuuga was hoping to divert the attack into a tree of sorts; though if they were heat seakers, he would have to rely on setting fire to a tree in order for the trick to work. The Kaguya on the other hand; was attempting to dodge the attack via the water; hoping to douse the flames in the lake as a means to defend himself. Before he knew it, Cruxis's hand had a Kunai in it, a slip of paper attached with a scrawling of ink which said I Prepared Exploding Runes This Morning', the paper he had earlier attempted to use as a prank on Ishinon. 'Hey thanks Ishinon. If you'd fallen for the prank I wouldn't have this on me now.' Cruxis grinned as he lobbed the Kunai towards the dark-skinned man's hand; intent not on hitting his head but on him catching and reading the writing. The jutsu was one of his own invention; upon reading the words, the writing would explode and cover its reader, and anyone nearby, in a thick black ink. Not particularly lethal, but enough of a hindrance to possibly distract the Chuunin from his attack long enough for the Hyuuga and Kaguya to land a blow on him. It appeared that Nova and Takeshi were surprised by the technique since they were motionless for the first few seconds after it was deployed. Notwen smiled as he concentrated on maneuvering the 'twin suns' on a crash course to the genin. The first target was Takeshi. While benefiting from the overall view he received from the awareness sphere, the dark-skinned blonde guided the radiant Hiramekarei on a path that would have made it crash into the boy's back had he not dived into the deepest region of the lake. So that's what you're up to... Good tactic, but i hope this doesn't cook you to death... The three-eyed Uchiha made the attack travel over the center of the lake before releasing the outer layer. Instantly a twisting pillar of raging flames materialized over the water, heating whatever was below it to temperatures near boiling. After about half a minute the technique began to lose power and eventually dissipated. Sensing Takeshi's consciousness under the water and verifying that he wasn't dead, Notwen shifted his focus to the Hiramekarei that was following Nova. The trees would have posed a problem for the techniques maneuverability, but with a series of wiggles from his fingers Notwen was able to tilt it in the direction it needed to turn and avoid trees in doing so. It didn't take long for the attack to reach the swordsman, who was not as fast as his partner. Instead of releasing the technique into its true form, the dark-skinned blonde separated the clone from it. This caused the orb to diminish to the thin disk it was just a few minutes before. The clone flipped and landed in front of Nova and quickly executed an open palm thrust aimed at the young boy's forehead before he had time to react to the clone's unexpected appearance. It was at this time that notwen sensed a shift of intentions from the onlooker. From wanting to watch, this person now wanted to aid the genin. The clone that had just singed the kanji for 'Fail' on Nova's head saw something glint as it flew towards the original. Relaying this information through the Web of Inrigue, it gave the original enough time to weave a few seals to conjure up eight tendrils of water from the lake and make them surround him in a dome of rotating water. The kunai, having had been thrown from a good distance didn't have the force to break through the makeshift defense and was caught in the rotating current. As it passed in front of Notwen, he dark-skinned blonde noticed a paper with writing on it. The note didn't seem to be an explosive due to the lack of a burnt end so Notwen decided to read it. The words ' I Prepared Exploding Runes This Morning' were almost faded, but it didn't stop the water from suddenly becoming pitch black. Out of instinct Notwen released his technique and retreated from the spot he had just been standing on, expecting the water to explode. The three-eyed Uchiha had read up on a few individuals who were capable of using ink with ninjutsu. These shinobi could do anything from summon beasts made of ink to sealing individuals in paper or have written words act themselves out. Taking no chances, the Uchiha quickly superheated the water at his feet and generated a wide cover of warm mist. In this cover he weaved the Dragon, Navel, Bird and Crown Seals. Upon placing his right hand on the surface of the water, a glowing square of markings appeared followed by a burst of flame Kaala, Notwen's longtime companion stood before him in humanoid form. He was now clad in magnificent robes of crimson with gold trim. In his hand he held his Exe Kaliba, the sword of Sparrows, which was wrapped in a pale beige cloth and tied with a length of brown cord. He looked at Notwen with a curious look in his eyes. " You seem rather shaken. What is the matter, my friend?" asked the humanoid bird. Notwen wasted no time in explaining the situation in full. " I see. That's a problematic situation." said Kaala afer processing the information. "I will go and suppress him this ink user. Provide me with a distraction and i will follow up." The dark-skinned blonde nodded. " One distraction, coming up!" With that he stood still, calming his mind and regulating his breathing. What he was about to perform required complete absence of emotion, as well as separating his Yin and Yang chakra natures. General Rai Oh had personally taught Notwen this technique once he saw the Uchiha's talent with Fire Style jutsus. As the dark-skinned blonde began to move his arms in circular patterns he concentrated on keeping his Yin and Yang chakra at their extremes before letting them collide again. When this happened, volts of electricity began to surge through his arms. Now Notwen curled his fingers so that only the index and and middle were the only ones extended. He then made the accumulated electricity move up to the tips of his fingers before aiming with both arms in the direction of the ink user's consciousness and releasing the energy. It was a slightly debilitating jutsu, since more often than not he accidentally released some of his own energy with the lightning. As the twin bolts of lightning made their way to the area where the watcher was, Kaala took the opportunity and dashed at a speed difficult for inexperienced eyes to follow, taking some of the mist cover with him. Halfway there the mist faltered and revealed the humanoid bird, but by that time he would have taken to the treetops and located the tree the perpetrator was hiding in. Once the lightning bolts passed by and emitted a faint thunderclap, Kaala found himself standing directly behind the person. Noiselessly unwrapping the blade, Kaala put the edge of the chrome blade next to the boy's cotoroid artery and said, " One false move, and i end you where you stand, ink user."

Nova fell back as the clone had appered in front of him. He fell to the ground below and hit every branch on the way down, before landing and realizeing that the clone just had made him look stupid and showed that he ad failed. He returned to his feet as a fire began o burn inside of himself. "I am not a faliure, I will do this!" he screamed as he took off towards where he remembered where Notwen was last. It seemed that he had moved but that wouldn't stop Nova. He quickly began to use his Byuakugan and searched for Notwen and soon found him along with two other people but they were not his consern. Nova dashed towards Notwen and began to unleash evry ounce of energy he had as he reached within an arms langth of Notwen. "I will not fail!" He screamed as he sped his open palms strick and adding in some jabs with his fingers that seemed to represent the tip of a spear. His eyes looked into Notwen's with the fury that he had jut been insulted by being considered a failure. A tear fell from his left eye as he felt much rage from the way the clone had acted. All he could do is hope for Notwen to see his potental.

While under the water, Takeshi looked to where the surface would be and could see the skill not hit the water. He was about to up to the surface but watched as something orange was right above him, then he noticed the bubbles. He could see the bubbles starting to rage to the top of the surface, then it hit him. It was steadily getting warmer and warmer. Notwen was trying to cook him out of the lake. This was one situation that he hadn't trained himself for, but he would have to figure out something. For the moment, he just waited while holding his breath and started to meditate. It didn't take long for the flames to dwindle and die out. He knew that he needed to take this moment on for his advantage. Clenching his fists, Takeshi stood up in the water and suddenly jumped up. At this point he'd started to push chakra out of his feet and make his bones less dense so that when he came out of the water he was almost literally flying. It was only at this moment that he noticed two bolts of lightning in a cloud of mist heading in a direction in which he remembered Nova not going. Looking over in that direction he couldn't see anyone there so he started to think something wasn't right. It seemed that it didn't matter to Nova though as Takeshi watched him enter the cloud of mist and dis-appeared in it. Takeshi's mind started to race on what he should do. He couldn't see in the mist so blindly entering it was a bad idea. But maybe he didn't need to.. Takeshi closed his eyes and started to weave together some simple hand seals as quickly as he could. He knew he wasn't the greatest at anything other then hand to hand combat, but for one to only study the effects of one style would be blind to everything else and surely fail in his or her goals. Suddenly there was a puff of smoke which covered him completely. Once the smoke cleared, not one Takeshi stood there, but 19 of him. Nine of the clones charged and joined in with Nova to attack Notwen in all directions. The other ten clones didn't move to try and show that maybe the real one wasn't actually attacking and only observing. Takeshi had actually used the smoke to quickly take to the trees and stop with all of his chakra use as much as possible. He wanted to give off no trail anyone could follow. At this moment, he was bounding from tree to tree using only his natural speed and reflexes. He moved until he got into a clear spot were he could see the cloud of mist. He still couldn't see inside it, but that was why he had sent his clones in and not himself. This would be his best bet to catch Notwen off guard when he could see him. At is stood though, Takeshi knelt on a branch mid way up a tree and waited silently until he could strike.

Despite his own attempts to master his Ryuugan, Cruxis's abilities to sense the present still were not perfected to the point his father had mastered the eye. He had come a long way since his training, the first of the eye's primary abilities having been unlocked. However, looking into the past did little in this case. Knowing where someone had been could only truly hope to track them in the long term. In a short term scenario, such as combat, the eye was generally useless. With that noted, Cruxis was not surprised when he lost track of the dark skinned man, despite his best efforts to focus in his direction. However, he re-emerged with a new ally at his side. Was this a summon? Cruxis had found a few old scrolls that spoke of blood pacts in the libraries of the Academy. Once bonded by the blood pact, a user gained the power to summon creatures that the pact allowed, to varying degrees of success. Others used their own chakra to create summoned allies, such as those who commanded puppets with chakra strings. This latter method generally made the summoner vulnerable due to the focus required to maintain the puppets, and because the puppets, unlike a summon from a blood pact who possessed its own consciousness; and could actively act to help its summoner. Still, there were several who considered a greater control over a puppet to be an advantage; although Cruxis considered puppets weapons and tools over a proper summon as the puppet users he had spoken with. Still, the current issue was of two foes on the field verses the two gennin, well now three with Cruxis having thrown his lot in with them. A thunderclap and Cruxis lost track of the summon. Likely due to speeds to fast for his eyes to see, he had to wait for it to reappear before it could find it. The matter was where in hell would it reappea-- OH HELL!!! Cruxis felt the cold steel press against him and, a rather poor way to react considering his height, slipped off the limb of the tree he was on and conked his head on the redwood, dizzying his senses for a moment before realizing his error and pushing a burst of Chakra beneath him to propel himself back into the air utilizing his Bukujutsu technique. Cruxis lost track of the other two gennin and the chuunin as he quickly began analyzing what he could of this opponent. 'Enemy has high speed movement and is likely a lightning element user, if that thunderclap was anything to go off of...' Cruxis's brain was already firing, debating the lists of known styles and tactics, recalling to mind the Yellow Flash, Hidden Leaf's infamous Fourth Hokage who was said to move as a lightning bolt to inflict devastation on his enemies. Judging by the quality of the opponent's blade, it was not the make of a simple sellsword or cutthroat. 'I can't beat him in bladework, not that my skill with a sword was much to begin with... And I likely I can't outspeed him...' Cruxis knew that his one possible advantage lay in his Genjutsu techniques, and so as he ascended back to his branch's level, his left arm lashed out at the crimson-robed companion's forehead, his right arm kept his Tachi-blade, a short ans slightly curved katana, drawn as a parry attempt to give his left arm that opportunity. His one chance at victory was to disable the opponent. That bump he'd taken to his head might have just saved his a** but it meant nothing if he didn't learn anything from it. Cruxis not only learned to watch his back from the incident, but had been inspired on just how to disable the opponent. The burst of chakra flowed through his left arm, the tingling sensation was like holding liquid flames, hot yet flowing within every fiber of his hand. A single touch, and Cruxis's End of Reality Technique would flash through the opponent's mind - momentarily expanding its mental functions to one-hundred percent capacity. Normally, the human mind could only use ten perfect of its brain potential. This brief opening of the mind would lead to a brief instant of perfect clarity before suddenly being yanked away; the fleeting flame leaving the mind hollow by comparison; forcing the brain to recover from the shock of the event; cutting off action to the body in the process and leaving the opponent vulnerable. On a weak willed opponent, it had been enough to shatter the mind to a comatose state, although on a battle ready one, Cruxis expected it would at least buy about twelve seconds before the stunning effect wore off. But twelve seconds was quite a lot in the flow of battle, enough to make a difference in the fight between victory or loss. Quote: Line Count: Before: 854 + This Post: 46 [+94 int] = New Count: 994

The friendly spar-until-submission scenario Notwen had intended on creating suddenly became blown completely out of proportion. He could sense a myriad of intense feelings and confusion coming from the three other human consciousnesses that were within the sphere of awareness. The one Kaala was currently with seemed to waver for a second before it started exhibiting aggressive intentions. At the same time Nova's consciousness began to seethe with intentions of vengeance. How the hell did this end up happening?! thought the three-eyed Uchiha as he pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. Any further thoughts had to be put on hold due to Nova's consciousness barreling straight towards him. * * * Over in the pine forest, Kaala's appearance had startled the captive and caused him to fall off the branch. The humanoid sparrow heard a *KONK* as the person fell and became very intrigued by the fact that he stopped his descent with nothing at all. Humans never cease to amaze me.. he thought, watching the floating human with avian eyes. Suddenly the person flew up at Kaala, and it was then that he realized that it was a child. This surprise caused the bird to react too slowly to the boy's attack. The humanoid bird was only able to clamp his hand onto the boy's wrist after the latter's palm had made contact with his forehead. Instantly a euphoric sensation swept through Kaala's head, followed shortly by a dull numbing and headache. Kaala swayed, still holding on to the boy's wrist, but found his balance again. He then smiled and locked eyes with his captive. " I see now what you were doing. At such a young age, to be increasing the brain's capacity is a little too advanced for you to grasp the whole concept. You truly are a formidable opponent, ink user, but i must disappoint you." The humanoid bird caused his fiery crimson-gold wings to sprout from his shoulder blades. This made Kaala look like a blazing angel in the sunlight. " I am not a human being, and my kind's intelligence far surpasses human understanding." As he spoke, Kaala was linking the ink user's mind with his own via his own Web of Intrigue. When the link was established he let the boy's mind resonate with his own. The quickness of the Armored Sparrows' thought processes and depth of their perception would flood into the boy's mind for merely five seconds. That alone would be enough to overwhelm him without causing mental injuries. * * * Back on the lake Notwen was just beginning to dodge Nova's attacks. His emotional state had added fierceness to the blows, but had also deteriorated whatever form he had before. During this time he sensed nineteen more consciousnesses appear while one retreated into the forest. More than likely Takeshi. Nine of the new consciousnesses had the intention of aiding Nova, which meant trouble for Notwen because it would eventually lead to him being outnumbered. It was then that an idea occurred to the dark-skinned blonde. Leading the emotionally blind Nova to the center of the nine invader's trajectory, he kept him there until they were almost upon him. " Yoga..." he muttered after clapping his hands together and focusing on an area slightly behind Takeshi's location. Just as the mist began to swirl with activity, Notwen yelled, " Teleport!!" In the blink of an eye he was transported through time and space to the area he had focused on, leaving Nova to hopefully get mistaken for him on the mist-covered lake surface. The whole transition from point A to point B was really weird and left him really disoriented, but was really effective. After regaining his bearings, the dark-skinned blonde hopped noiselessly up to Takeshi and put his hand on the Kaguya's shoulder. " This fight is over. I couldn't hold my ground at all against the two of you. It's your victory. But we have two issues. One is Nova, who's currently going through some emotional trauma, and a mystery shinobi who attacked me earlier on. I'll fill you in more on the details once Nova calms down and i hear from Kaala." With that said he sat on the branch and watched the now-roiling mist.

((sorry about the delay, a bit of writer's block and some more doctors appointmens))
Nova's hands were swinging ad swinging in the mist but he felt a short breeze bush the mist towards him as something disturbed the mist. He then noticed the chackra of Notwen disapper, but felt nine others around him. Just then Nova turned around and began to attack one at a time. It was hard to see who it was but it didn't matter to Nova, he was to emotionally wreaked. he continued to attack as a hit landed and the figure vanished. Turning around he lifted his leg and hit another in the jaw. He then jumped up to a tree as he was ready to do anything to end the fight so that he wouldn't fail. "Am i really this weak?"He thought as he continued to hop branch to branch to the location of the other figures. He then attackedas he never had before unleashing all the power he could put into each assult. soon he would find no other threat and decided to go into the open to show that he was finished hopeing that the spar was finished. He sat at the edge of the lake an let his feet touch the water calming down. He had lost his cool and felt like he lost control over his own body, but his abilities were now to be judged by Notwen.

Takeshi knelt on the branch he was patiently. He knew that eventually Notwen would have to do something which would reveal his position and maybe even get rid of that annoying fog he couldn't see through. Keeping a sharp eye on the situation below, he relaxed his breathing so that he could move on a hair trigger situation. Instead of Notwen reacting the way he was hoping he would, Takeshi heard heard him shout out teleport. Curses rushed through him mind for a second while he reached to his shoulder which was already producing something the Kaguya clan was well known for. Gripping the protruding bone, he pulled on it and retracted his hand in front of his chest with sword in hand. He just knelt their like he was before, but now his ears were what he was focusing with, not his eyes. Unfortunately that didn't help as he soon felt a hand on his shoulder. In one movement he raised his arm and showed the sword tip to his sparring opponent but didn't move it any more. He could have drove it into his gut but there was no need to do that since it was only a friendly sparring match. He just wanted to show that he was ready for what ever would have happened. He listened to Notwen speak about what was now happening. He was glad that they were able to over come Notwen's defenses, but also slightly disappointed that he couldn't show more of his potential since he wasn't going full forced yet. He placed that disappointment aside and continued to listen. It seemed that Nova wasn't only head-strong, but also blinded by emotions at the same time. At the same time their victory over Notwen seemed less satisfying since the news of some other shinobi interfering in this match. Looking at the mist he remembered that he'd sent his clones in there to attack Notwen, but with Notwen up in the tree as well he knew that his clones would be attacking Nova."I'll talk to Nova..." He stated as he quickly jumped down and ended his skill only to find Nova sitting on the waters edge a little ways away. He slowly walked over to Nova still wondering how calm he truly was. If Nova attacked him he'd have no choice but to defend himself but he didn't want to have to resort to it. Once about two to three steps to the south east of Nova, he knelt down and looked over at his new comrade and sighed lightly. "Notwen has ended this match, we won... but something concerns him, are you alright?" His tone was lighter then normal. He knew that something needed to be figured out or this emotion could threaten their success in the future.

Cruxis saw the surprise in the crimson-robed man's eyes and knew his technique would work, pushing himself further as if hoping to increase his speed and to take advantage of the surprise. His hand clutched the enemy and the surge of chakra flowed as the man's wrist took hold of his own. A small troubleshoot, but not a worry once the man was zapped in the head. Twelve seconds, he could slash the wrist and escape in that time if needed. However, the man's eyes rolled back momentarily before locking, very intently, on Cruxis, his grip was tightening and Cruxis was afraid his wrist might break under the man's strength. As the crimson-robed man spread his wings, Cruxis had two thoughts on his mind; the first was attempts to guess just what he was, perhaps a harpy or seraphim; while the second was cursing himself for not thinking that the summoned ally would be affected like a human would based on his human appearance. 'Damnit to hell and back... not human. I should have thought to look past appearances.'The flash was instant and Cruxis felt his mind move within a hundred pieces within the burst of hot white. The link he'd established, the weakness of genjutsu as a whole. Empathy, the talent to understand thoughts and emotions, a strong to weak connection from others to oneself. In order to reverse the flow, chakra could be infused to influence those thoughts and emotions, putting a target under the illusion of genjutsu. However, a stronger surge of chakra could easily reverse this flow; as the opponent had done. When Cruxis came to, he found himself in white space, pieces of himself floating around him... 'Rule number one of Genjutsu... Put a few failsafes in your mental defenses.' Cruxis held back a curse. He didn't know how potent the attack on his mind had been, nor how long his failsafe would last; but he knew what had happened. Whatever attack had been placed on the reversed connection had been enough to shatter his mind; and his initial failsafe for such an instance had activated. A small part of the core of his being had been preserved in the recesses of his mind to awaken and piece together himself should this happen; though Cruxis could not know if the attack would strike again and smother out this tiny spec of himself. The mind was a unique place truly; it held far fewer rules than the physical world; though many would consider the mind's rules to be entirely bizarre by comparison. First and foremost, as it was his own mind, he could generally manipulate how he wanted to, depending on how well the connections worked. In this case, his mind had been broken and he needed to piece it together; thus the appearance of hundreds of mirror shards. Grabbing hold of the first piece he could reach, Cruxis glanced through it to see if he could see himself. He could track down the next piece by seeing his relative location through the piece he held! Five seconds in the real world for the attack to happen, forty-five seconds for his recovery. But that forty-five seconds was far longer mentally - and piecing his mind together was an exhausting task. When the job was completed, Cruxis felt the tug that pulled him back to the physical world with a splitting headache; and a very high temper. He had dropped his sword from the shock; was still held with a firm grip by his wrist, though no further harm had been done to him. Focusing himself, Cruxis remained as limp as possible, trying to keep his mind blank in hopes that playing comatose would keep the seraphim from attempting another attack. Upon seeing the boy go limp Kaala sheathed his Exe Kaliba, catching the ink user's sword with his now free hand as it slipped through the latter's grip. Balancing the blade on the branch, the humanoid bird made quick work of pulling the ink user onto the branch and wrapping his arm around the unconscious boys waist. Kaala stooped down to pick up the boy's sword and jumped off of the branch, beating his wings powerfully to gain altitude. Once he had cleared the treetops he flared his wings and glided down toward the lake. By now the mist cover had dissipated and the three-eyed Uchiha was not there. After looking around for a few seconds Kaala's keen eyes spotted his summoner in a clearing well into the pines, and after a few alterations to his wingspread glided to that spot.
Upon his summon's landing, Notwen hopped down from the branch he had met up with Takeshi to see clearer what Kaala was carrying. "This is the one who had been antagonizing you, my friend." said the humanoid bird, reabsorbing his crimson-gold wings back into his shoulder blades. "Be careful when approaching him, he's well-versed in mental disruption techniques." The dark-skinned blonde nodded as he studied his summon's captive. The boy was young, no older than twelve. He had blueish-gray hair and wore odd dark clothes. The fact that the boy was so young, and yet possessed so much skill impressed Notwen. A faint smile played on the Uchiha's lips when he noticed that the boy's consciousness was active and gave off the overall intention of deception. Crossing his arms he looked down at the boy with indifference and spoke. "I know you aren't unconscious, and i am pretty sure you don't want to try any funny moves now that you know what my friend Kaala here is capable of. Now i want you to state your name, and reason why you interrupted our team training exercise. If i sense for a split second that you are lying to me, you will not like what's coming to you." Notwen stretched his arms over his head, arching backwards at the same time. "My skills with Genjutsu are pretty decent, but not quite his level." said the dark-skinned blonde, gesturing at Kaala with a jerk of his head. As he waited for the boy to state his case he wondered how well Takeshi was faring with Nova.

Nova heard as Takeshi had approched him in a cautious way. He knew he had lost control of his emotions and that may have cost Nova his life if this were a real fight. He heard Takeshi ask in a light soft tone if he was okay and that they have won in this spar. "Yea, i'm alright just faceing failure is very hard for me. As a ninja i haven't really accomplished anything yet and it is hard for me to fail mostly in front of the man who i look up to the most." He said in a sorta depressed but numb tone. He stood up and faced Takeshi and walked over to him before putting his hand on Takeshi's shoulder. "I am proud to have you as a fellow squadmate. I should stop trying to be the best but insead learn from the better before i become cocky." He said in a jokeing tone trying to lighten the mood. "Where is Notwen at if we have won?" He asked before looking around at his serroundings.

((Minor brain-laps)) Takeshi listened to Nova's comments on why his actions had occurred. It seemed that it was in largely a sense of pride that was being damaged when he failed or was considered a failure. This loss of pride would be amplified when lost in front of Notwen. Takeshi sighed lightly as there would be nothing he could do or say to help him get over it. He felt Nova's hand become placed on his shoulder, then more words were spoken. This time in a lighter tone with an attempt of humor added. Takeshi nodded and then pointed over slightly behind the both of them to where Notwen was now standing. "He's over this way from what I know." He turned over in that direction, and that's when he noticed not only one unfamiliar figure but rather two of them. He was unaware of what was happening now, so he approached the three beings and silently waited for a moment giving a blank stare at both the young male and the older one. He had no idea who they were so turning his head to Notwen he decided to voice his thoughts. "Um... Notwen, do you know exactly who these two are?"

'Well crud... the old act of playing dead really doesn't work without first rolling in garbage.' 'Not to point out the obvious, but you're in abit of trouble. Sorry.''You're the one who wrote me this way! Write me out of it, now. I do not want to get bled or tortured just because you thought it would be fun to join a fight for the interaction experience!' 'Actually since I'm writing you're thoughts, you saw two gennin fighting an opponent way out of their league and thought a distracting prank would help turn the scale slightly in their favor''That's ridiculous! Haven't you heard of free will over fate? I am not just going be puppeting my way through your story..' 'Yes, you kind of are. Again, sorry. But look on the bright side. If I had actually listened to your request to write you out of this, you wouldn't exist anymore. Think on that for a moment.''I really am going to find some way to stab you through your own computer screen...' 'Speaking of stabbing, just you wait until you meet my latest evil idea involving blood blades!''What!? You're replacing me? Who said you could just-' 'Not even close - I just wanted to make a villain for fun. But see, you'd be bored without me writing you! The thought of being replaced put you off!''......' 'Point proven, Mister Silent Treatment. Now then, back to YOUR story!'Cruxis opened one eye to take in his situation. He probably couldn't escape, not this late in the game. Nor could he lie; though at least his playing comatose would have likely worked had his opponent not apparently been able to detect thoughts. A pity he didn't have any costumes on hand. One fun fact of lies were they had to be known as lies. Cruxis had multiple personas he tended to use while performing, and each was a part of him - his personal favorite being Rusone the Red - an extravagantly dressed bardly costume he wore on occasion to festivals. From the red and gold tunic to his plumed hat, the costume was one of his favorites. Unfortunately Cruxis was not very good at getting into character in a pinch, and did not want to risk calling thee Chuunin's threat as a bluff. Now that he was within close range, Cruxis also took note of the man's three eyes. Sharingan, the eye of the Uchiha clan. If what he recalled was correct, the Sharingan allowed mimicry of jutsu; and thus any attempt to use techniques would be useless, since mimicry could likely outdo him at the Chuunin's level. "My name is Cruxis. I was out clearing my head when I saw two gennin going against a Chuunin; obviously outmatched. BeforeI could think to stop myself, I prepared an old prank technique I used when I didn't want to write reports for my Academy teachers - and threw it in your direction. Really not the most dangerous thing in the world - when read it coats your face, and anyone nearby, in ink. But I figured the distraction might just give them a hit on you and I could get a good laugh from it."Quote: Line Count: Before: 1109 + This Post: 30 [+43 int] = New Count: 1182

It took some time for the boy to answer, but when he did he introduced himself as Cruxis. The name struck Notwen as odd, but his own name wasn't in the norm either so he couldn't judge. So far the boy's consciousness showed no sign of deception. After the Cruxis had finished his tale the three-eyed Uchiha couldn't help but to chuckle at the way he had acted. "First and foremost you must have some good eye sight as well as a developed power level gauging ability. I take it you are a Sensory type ninja. But i must say, that prank almost caused me to go all-out. The second i saw your trick explode in the water my survival instinct kicked in. I would have dealt with you personally, but my team mates took the slight opening you afforded them so my hands were tied up at that time. Had i known that the note was as harmless as you say it was none of the events that unfolded would have come to pass. Either way you seem a little shaken-up, but otherwise unhurt." Notwen reached down and grabbed the back of Cruxis's shirt collar with his right hand. After pulling the boy up gently the dark-skinned blonde set him down on his feet. It was at this time that Nova and Takeshi came walking back to the clearing. Upon seeing the two strangers, Takeshi asked Notwen if he knew who they were. The three-eyed Uchiha turned to face the pair as he answered the question. "This is Cruxis." he said, gesturing to the short boy. "He's the one who tried to help you guys out by attacking me from a distance. And this fellow," said Notwen, now gesturing to Kaala, "is my personal armored bird summon, Kaala. He did us the favor of catching this little prankster while we were having our sparring session." The humanoid bird nodded silently in acknowledgement. Notwen was about to say something else when he remembered the feeling that had been emanating from Nova up until a few minutes ago. "Nova, don't feel like you failed to meet my standards. What you may currently lack in strategy you make up for with your passion. With that passion you will make a great swordsman one day." A smile crept across the dark-skinned blonde's face as he winked at his team mate.

Nova walked up to Notwen and two others that he didn't recall ever meeting. Notwen then went on to introduce he two others as Cruxis and Kaala. Nova examined the two and softly said "Hello, my name is Nova." Then his attention went back to Notwen with a sort of long face as Notwen began to speak again. Notwen went on to say to Nova that even tho he lacked stratigy he had a lot of passion and that passion will one day make him into a great swordsmen. A bitter sweet feeling arose in Nova as he thought about the sparr. He was sure that the dust storm would have been a good stratigy but was easily countered by Notwen. That in itslelf was probably the only stratigy that Nova had come up with in the whole fight. He then felt dissapointment in himself knowing that he could have done better but wasn't thinking about his surroundings. After a bit he thought of the passion that he had and that no matter what he wouldn't fail again, at least not fail himself. "Your right Notwen, I haven't been the most tactical but i did show passion but passion alone can't win a fight. I will do my best to learn from you and hope that one day i can serpass you and become the best swordsmen in the shinobi world." He said as he let a half smile arise to his face hideing the dissapointment within.
