Tsetsiliya had barely awoken from her strange slumber when the gnomes had come crashing through the compartment, talking about the trail chaser. The student council representative, Rain, had seemed nervous and suggested pairs. There it was again, the talk of pairing off! She looked around for those she had been talking to, desperately, eagerly - she didn't want to be alone! She caught sight of Belladonna and Jack not too far away, and she looked around for Julien, whom Belladonna had told her to stay near.
"S-s-stay away!" she cried to the reindeer, holding her hands out in front of her, nails bared. She had to protect herself, her new friends!
... Too bad her attack did 0 damage.

Julian was glad the lights were back on, maybe this would be the end of all the interruptions and havoc. If he had said those words aloud, he would have spoken too soon, because as soon as he thought it there was the new arrival of a skeletal reindeer.
Really! This was worse than the Battle of the Bands!
He stood up, but didn't move from where he was, just threatening the creature to stay away.
Julian did 0 Damage!

There was a little click, and Alwine gasped.
"Oh, my! I almost forgot that the photo would develop."
While all the chaos of battling students went on, Alwine plucked out the paraloid photo and shook it, humming to herself: "Shake it shake it shake it... shake it like a paraloid picture..."
It was very quiet, because Alwine would never, under any normal circumstances, sing HowlKast. Never.
Eventually, the photo gurgled to visibility. It wasn't a very quality photo, of course, in fact most of it consisted of the monster's skeletal nostrils.
"Oh, my... you're not very photogenic."

((I just woke up, so I'm going to try to go through the thread and see if I missed any guesses, etc. To make the second round faster, if you know for sure you will be able to play in a half hour, please post and let me know. This way I can generate a more active play list! wink ))

Before anyone could answer Colette's attempt at figuring out what was going on or what she had missed in her slumber, a skeletal reindeer appeared - and of course no one was focusing on what she said. She was startled, anyone could be, and all the came out was "What the hell is that?"
The fleeing, screaming gnomes didn't help the situation either. All too soon, some of the students just started throwing things at the reindeer and other actions to upset it. Now, Colette hasn't ridden a train before; but it didn't take a lot of work to figure out it was not supposed to be there. Was it lost? Colette felt bad for the poor thing, it didn't seem to do anything particularly crude.
Adrenaline of all the quick action and panic built up within minutes and Colette was up on her feet, trying to push her way to a close but safe distance by the reindeer. Surprisingly, she forced aside her soft, somewhat quiet voice and managed to shout as best she could, "What are you doing? Stop it! It hasn't even done anything to us!" It was sort of loud, but there was a pretty good crack in her shout.

Sheeki looked at the reindeer sadly. It doesn't look like he'll be much help... Sheeki moved farther back and glanced over Alwine's shoulder.
"It... adds character?" He ground out. He kind of liked the picture. Maybe it was because the reindeer bones were his favorite color.

((Alwine will shout her guess while doing flips 'n s**t and barrel rolls over the reindeer))
"I understand your worry, Colette," said Alwine as she continued to shake the paraloid. "But isn't this what the teacher and the gnomes worried us about? If this thing has hurt students on other train cars... shoudn't we retaliate?"
As the destruction continued around her, Alwine tilted the photo and looked at it again: "Do you really think so, Sheeki? At least it didn't come out TOO blurry..."

Alessa had fallen asleep again. Hey, who could really blame her? Dozing was the only thing that made her feel better. Mild train-sickness wasn't too bad, but still, at least if she...nodded off once and a while she didn't seem to notice. This time, though, it had been a really, really bad idea. She heard a lot of noise and when she opened her eyes, in the aisle next to her seat was a big skeleton creature.
She shrieked in surprise and gave it a swift kick in the head with the heel of her boot. Regardless of whether or not she had actually injured the thing she hurried over the back of the seat and then into the aisle. When she was a few rows away she took a breath, her head resting over where her heart was pounding. "What...is...what?" She panted, getting over her terror, which was mainly based off of the fact that in waking she hadn't expected it to be there.
Alessa did 2 damage!

Sheeki bit his lower lip in thought. Colette was right and he regretted throwing the wad of paper at the reindeer. (though he had done it on reflex) They were actually cool; he was a sucker for bones.
"So this is what a camera does?" Sheeki asked Alwine, distracting himself from his guilty thoughts. "Freeze images. I've never seen a camera before."

Rain gave a big smile as Alwine took her picture. She was surprised to be asked to be in one. That was a first and it made her feel really good. Good enough that the worries about the train started to fade to the back of her mind.
She was digging Alwine's idea of pairing up with a ghost though she only had three ghosts on her train. Jack was a Demon and Merope and Undead, so that gave them five. It may work in groups of four or five though. "That's an excellent idea, Alwine," she commented. "It would be possible to do this in groups of four or five and with a group that size and everyone watching their backs and the backs of others within their group, we may be better off?" It really wasn't a bad idea at all and four bodies fought better than two if it came down to that.
She gave a quick glance to her game and answered, "A10 is a Miss! Just then a reindeer had appeared out of nowhere? The roof? The gnomes had run off like scared little children and left them alone with it and it was easy to see that the skeletal creature meant business. When the other students had made their initial attack, she pounced (a feat that lacked much of the strength, distance and luster because of the pin) and tried to slash at it with her claws.
Rain only hits the creature for 1 damage.

Mandy looked in surprise at the reaper. Not battle with mysteriously appearing creature? Laaaaaame. Oh well it wouldn't be good to upset anyone at this point. She didn't want to be on her own. Begrudgenly she ground out, "Sorry, Reflex."

As the reaper Colette approached the deer and shouted, Merope picked himself up from where his fail lunge landed him on the floor. "What are we supposed to do, then?!" He shouted back, "I'm hungry and--" he broke off and stared at the deer, adding, "No, wait, nevermind, I can't eat a skeleton. What if it ran over some gnome's grandma, huh?"
