there are far more cons though, the thing is, we may not be able to transfer all the students, it would create so much more work for the guild members and myself. Also, if students do try and sneak out, thery would get in trouble, simple as that. they can always acess the to-be auror office i am working out with nerevar, just to talk about job benefits and what they want to do. it wouldn't be too cluttered though, nerevar is creating the office and his plan makes it quite simple.

You wouldn't be 'transfering' the students. the students would stay here. People would come here, roleplay as a student then 'graduate' into the next guild, the wizarding world.
And not everyone wants to be an auror, or work in a shop.
You don't necessarily need to be the guild creator either... Someone else could do it ~ you would still be here as the Headmaster. It could be a sister-guild kind of relationship.

I understand. I really have thought about it, but I really feel like if someone wants to graduate and become something that isn't one of those, i can create it here, and still maintain orginization. Ill continue to think about it, but this is only Hogwarts 1st year, very few people are graduating

plus some students can always just go through the system another time, re-starting if they want, if they really enjoy being a student. btw, i replied to your message, if you really want to teach that

I actually see the students being able to sneak out as a plus - if done correctly it could add quite a bit of interest. Besides, what's the point in the guilds being connected if students can't interact with the larger picture? Aside from making it a really selective, 'members-only' niche kinda thing and being able to continue the character you've established (which you could do in any other wizarding world guild any way).
But, I most definitely think an entirely new guild would be best. Of course, since there's so much more to expand upon and no one's life style will be universal, it will require a lot more thought than this school guild, and as Sing has pointed out, it may not be able to take off until we have more graduates. I think it would be best to make it first, then decide if linking it to this one would be too much trouble or not. (Also so Sing doesn't feel it's part of her responsibility. xD)
Of course, that doesn't answer where you would be able to go in the meantime, Callysto... ;___; *sniff*

Very interseting point Liplo! I never really thought about it like that, thank you! After all, in the 5th book they did have students say what they wanted to do in the future, and this could be kinda our own guild way of including that, letting students see what they could do. Really good point. I actually just sent out a guild announcment saying that there are other options, ex: callysto may be making a language class! there is always something fun in the guild, and since we only have a few graduates this year, i really want to see how this guild goes before even really making a sister one.

Each year ought to be a fresh start for the classroom threads, all you would need to do is lock down the threads from this year, and move them to the Pensive, since that's where we store memory's. That way teachers who messed up their initial set up can rework them.

i was thinkong of wiping them clean every summer, so teachers can expand on what they have taught their students, plus they aren't too too full right now.

I don't know some of those threads are quite long now, granted some of that is from OOC chat. I was thinking how it might be hard to tell where one year ended and the other began if we left the threads from this year there.

I think moving them to the pensieve is a brilliant idea! Otherwise, well... that's a lot of material down the drain. I think I'd cry if there were no trace left of it. ;__;

that'd be so sad =[ well, for the classes with fewer posts we'll leave them, but the larger classes we'll put in the pensieve
