The reply at first startled her, not because it he said kiss, but because it was what she wanted. She had been too nervous to say it. "Is that so?" She asked with a small smile. "Well I like that offer."

 Lucas smiled. He picked her up and leaned closer. "I like it too." He said. He kissed her until he finally had to come up for air. "Are you happy today?" He asked.

She smiled at him, feeling safe in his arms. "I wasn't until I heard your voice in the forest. Now today is by far the best of my life so far." Emily lay her head on his shoulder.
