Raven gave a smirk to Meran "Thank you, your task is to not allow the bear's to attack me" He lofted up his head and made a very odd sounding caw, it was as if he was rolling his tongue. All of the sudden a huge grizzly bear smashed through the forest, a crazed look on it's face as it saw the fish "GRAAAAAAAA" It was like a freaking dinosaur roar! It ran towards Raven almost completely ignoring Meran. "Make sure it doesn't interrupt the meal... It said as it lowered it head and began to eat calmly.

With that quickly muttered, Meran focused his orange colored chakra into his dominant fist's knuckles, the right fist and ran at the bear, putting all of his power into an uppercut at the bear's chin. "Yaaaah!!" The fist made contact with the bears chin, The bear stopped in it run and it's head was lifted up by the punch. It looked down at Meran with an angry look. Obviously this bear hadn't eaten for a while. It lifted up it's paw and it's claws out "GRAWR!!!!!!!!" it yelled as it swung it down at Meran
Raven on the other hand was taking his peaceful time eating the fish...

"Oww...Who knew a bear would be this dangerous..But, this'll actually be pretty fun." The bear roared and ran at Meran not letting up it dodged the punches and was graved by a couple then swung it's paw at him once more.

'Well, i'm not going to kill this bear, so I can't use Bukijutsu against it, i'll end up murdering an innocent creature, which is wrong. Heheh, I might even wanna keep the bear after this...' The bear looked at Meran as he tackled the beast, it fell back "Oh hell no!" Wait... did that bear just talk... "Not gonna happen bro!" He grabbed Meran picking him up and chucking him, the bear doing a jump and a spinning kick at Meran.

'How in the world that happens'll remain a mystery to me, but the thing that matters is that the bear is gone now. "Yeah, i'm good. Raven smiled at Meran "The basis of the Bird Summon is to be loyal to the summon, unlike most summons like toads and snakes that will listen to the masters or summoners. Us birds are much more... Intelligent and demand respect and loyalty. Standing up to a bear that you would obviously lose to was good enough proof of it." Raven said with an evil smirk "What you fought was a bear, a rare type of bear that I caught long ago in our sage lands. I found it fun to torture summoners with him." Raven grinned. He flapped over to Meran "Pull up your right sleeve all the way"

Raven looked down at Merans arm and his wing began to glow with chakra. "This may hurt a bit Hehe" He slapped it onto his arm, surging an electrical pulse into his arm that was VERY Strong. He then twisted his swing creating a swirl effect with his feathers, Then lifted up his wing and when he lifted it up, a tattoo was on Meran's arm and it was light and darkened in times. "This is the mark of your loyalty! Kogu has it! Every Bird summoner in the ages has had it." he looked at him in the eyes, there was a pause... Raven pecked his forehead "Move on! Back to Kogu! I can't stand you anymore!"

It had enough power in the yetll to probably wake up a lot of people in the village. Once the painful sensation in his arm stopped, he panted a bit. Meran bowed to the Raven and was on his way to Kogu to tell him about his progress. Knowing where he usually was, Meran decided to go by the dojo first. To him, it seemed as if he was connected to the dojo.

Crowds of civilians were wearing their warmest clothes as the young Inuzuka had told them. They were huddled close together. Some people managed to get small fires going. Jake walked in and looked towards the groups. He sat down listening against the wind for the faintest cry of help. After a while of nothing, Jake got up and paced. Several times people asked if he wanted to share their warmth. Jake shook his head while Aoi wimpered. He glanced towards the gates and shook his head. He couldn't sit there and babysit the civilians. He was a fighter not a pacifist. He yelled at the top of his lungs with bitterness. A slight rumble signaled that another outburst would kill everyone. Jake grabbed Aoi and left again.
