 Itachi woke from his rest just as the sun started coming up. sitting up from the bed the Uchiha rubbed at the back of his neck an made his way to the kitchen, those ebony eyes shifting to kakashi while passing by, it was still a bit early so he let the jounin rest but couldn't help to wonder what kinda dream was obviously troubling him. simply getting getting himself glass of water while he waited his eyes settled out the kitchen window. soon he returned to kakashi wondering if his presents would wake him at first. "Kakashi. " he tried a moment seeing if the male would come around. The Uchiha then moved closer to the couch taking a knee while lightly placing a hand to the silver haired males chest, his hand then traveled to the jounin's shoulder trying to wake him gently while staring down in to his closed eyes. " kashi' wake up your burning daylight. " he teased lightly with a smirk to his lips.

ONE WEEK LATER.....
naruto finished training, stopped by ichiraku's to grab a couple of bowls of ramen to go, and headed over to sasuke's. he'd been let out of the hospital, but was under the granny tsunade's strict orders to stay off of his feet for a while. so naruto had taken it upon himself to take care of him while he was down.

(lol...of course! sry, rukka asked me if we ahould fast forward and i thought it'd be a good idea...it's not a total loss though, you guys could be getting ready for your mission or even already in the middle of carrying it out.)

Kakashi was extremely depressed. It had been one week since he and Itachi had left Konoha. All he could think about was Iruka. He also found it very annoying when he couldn't read Itachi's body language. He wondered how Sasuke,Naruto, and Sakura were doing.

While Kakashi was out on his mission, Iruka was depressed. He seriously missed Kakashi. Why didnt I let him in? Why did I choose to let him go? God I miss him so much..... Then finally Iruka broke down.

( lets see how we can get through this mission >.> ) Itachi had successfully got kakashi in to the Akatuski as an unknown ninja that now wore about he same gear as the Uchiha. The two have secretly taken down three members and averted the blame else wear which left Zetsu, sesori , tobi ,konan and pain. Now walking beside the leaf Jounin through the woods heading to the secret hideout, Itachi could feel this depression of kakashi's getting worse day. the Uchiha was silent untill they neared the entrence suddeny he lifted an arm to stop the other male " kakashi, I need you to stay focused for me. this is the final step" he said giving the male a glance with thoes red eyes.
The base was laced with bombs through out the week. the plan was to gather the remaining akatsuki in the middle and get out while everything crashed down on them.
once everyone was gathered in the middle of the fortress on various levels so that they couldent help if somthing were to go wrong, things seemed to be coming together nicely until sesori became quite annoyed with the lack of information on Itachis new partner. without warning he charged up to Kakashi throwing off the males straw hat to uncover his identity. "Traider! " he said sharply looking to Itachi. stealthfully Sesori lifted his tail and drove is down at the leaf jounin.
Itachi suddenly slid infront of kakashi the spear like tail going completely through the Uchihas shoulder and slightly visible on the other side. discreetly coughing a little blood up Itachi locked his eyes on sesori capturing him in his genjutsu, he could feel tobi closing in to that room, unaware of the situation still. it wasent suposed to come to this ..My chances of getting out of here alive and taking the akatsuki down are bad..but I can get kakashi out of this... he turned his head to see the silver haired male and narrowed his eyes a little.
"your covers been blown. I dont need you here, get lost. " he said coldly hoping his choice in words would make kakashi gladly want to leave. his eyes returned to his opponent pulling the tails tip from his shoulder. " Ill be fine..Just make sure my foolish little brother dosent get put to shame by some weakling. " he whispered not being able to think of any other last request

"I'm not about to leave you! I didn't leave my own village just to watch you die! Either way we still have the upper hand right now!" It didn't occur to Itachi, but mangekyou sharingan had put Tobi into a genjutsu as well. He had the akatsuki member being stabbed for 75 hours. "Itachi I have an antidote for the poison as well...So I will not let you die here alone!" Was Kakashi falling for him? He has never put his own life on the line for a missing nin before...

 Itachi's deadly gaze soften listening to kakashi whom was behind him. His eyes lifted to the door in the distance seeing tobi in a trance realizing the jounin had captured him and smirked. "Nice kakashi, Lets make this quick then. " The Uchiha knew he still had atleast some time untill the poison would begin to take affect on his body, blood was now crawling down his arm from under the akatsuki cloak and dripping to the floor from his fingers. If they were to finish this the antidote had to wait. Suddenly shoving Sasori to the center while a wire was slipped between his teeth. throwing shuriken at tobi which were attached to the wire so that he could yank the akatsuki member to the middle tangling him up agenst sesori while jolting up in to the air directly above the two. lifting his chin to look down to his old so called comrades. throwing multiple kunai wit explosive tags down to surround the two before landing the tags already stared to burn.
falling in a knelt position Itachi's eyes fell black feeling the cold sweat wash over him. forcing himself up the uchiha took off to the entrance taking kakashi's hand when passing by. Hearing the explosion behind him the Uchiha took a short cut bursting through the wall through black flames, landing on his hands in and knees, just as the fortress started to fall.
Itachi's arm trembled to the poison, he tried to push himself to get to his feet but the young male only fell lower ,touching his head to the ground while gripping his shoulder.

As Kakashi watched his comrade fall, he felt his heart begin to panic. He couldn't let another one of his comrades die in front of him again. Injecting the antidote into the Uchiha, Kakashi watched him quiver a bit from the needle. Kakashi had wanted to make a smart comment but it wasn't needed at the moment. The missing nin had started to look relaxed,so Kakashi took it that the effects of the poison wasn't bothering him anymore. He really couldn't believe he was actually helping him! Sasuke would be so disgruntled if he saw what was going on at the moment. Lifting Itachi onto his back, he started walking towards Konoha. "That idiot....thinking I would let him die there.....Hn." Kakashi knew that if he told Lady Tsunade about Itachi helping the village, he will not be given as harsh of a punishment of that a missing nin. But he will leave it up to Itachi to decide whether he wants to live in Konoha once again.

With the poison gone Itachi was simply drained from the blood loss, his eyes fell closed his head laying in to kakashi's shoulder. finally waking up already inside of the village, his eyes still a bit blurring until blinking with disbelief of were he was as well suddenly noticing he was being carried his cheek flushed with color. he winced a little applying pressure to his shoulder not prepared be behind enemy lines " W-were do you think your taking me? "

"We'll stop here. There is something I need to discuss with you. I need to know by tommorow morning whether or not you will join the village once again. You will still have some sort of a punishment but not for one of a missing nin. If you are wondering why it is because the village is in debt to you. I am also second in rank underneath the Hokage." Kakashi had to let Itachi know that he has a place there. He was also kind of hopeful that the Uchiha would live with him. He had enjoyed his company. He didn't want Itachi to know that though.

Uchiha Blood Once Kakashi finished speaking Itachi quietly pulled himself down from the jounin's hold, tuching his feet to the ground, yet tenced a bit gripping kakashi's shoulder for a bit of suport. The Uchiha seemed to keep his dark eyes lowered before looking directly in to kakashi's " As you wish. Ill use the time to think about it. But first I have to tend to this wound. "
