Bryan stopped in the doorway, not turning around. He stayed silent fro a few moments, contemplating his next actions. He focused on the space in front of him. "Yes?"

"I- Please- I-" He said disjointedly, trying to find some reason why he wanted Bryan to stay. He just knew that it would be a whole lot worse if the Russian left. "Please don't leave?" He asked, pushing himself up into a siting position on the floor. "Please?" He asked again, looking at the floor. "I don't want you to leave." He said quietly.

Bryan looked over his shoulder at Brooklyn and then sighed. He turned and sat against a wall a fair distance away from Brooklyn. He Faced they other and watched him with a blank look on his face. "What do you want then?" he asked. He was truthfully curious about that.

Brooklyn shrugged helplessly. "I don't know what I want. What I don't want is for you to leave. I feel... better... When you're here. " Brooklyn blushed and looked down at the ground. "I'm... not used to other people. The only other person who's ever really spoken to me was Kai and you know how that turned out..." He looked up at Bryan. "I- You scared me." He admitted.

Bryan shrugged as well. "I scare everyone, whats new?" Bryan looked around for a while and then back at Brooklyn. "So, what actually happened between you and Kai, and don't tell me what you said before, i mean why are you two fighting about whatever the hell it is?"

Brooklyn blushed and looked down at the ground, studying the floor in great detail. "I-Uh... It's hard to explain. What did you want to know?" He asked, looking back up at Bryan.

Bryan shrugged. "It just seems like you're fighting about some insignificant thing." Bryan stared at Brooklyn for a moment and then raised an eyebrow. "You don't actually hate them, do you?"

Brooklyn shrugged. "I don't know." He said truthfully. "On one hand I hate them and truely never want to see them again. But on the other I hate having to act like I hate them..." He trailed off and sighed. "That doesn't actually make sense does it?"

Bryan shook his head. "No it doesn't. I'd like to know what it was that made you hate them. Must have been pretty bad." He raised his eyebrow's questioningly at the other boy.

Brooklyn sighed and leant against the cupboard doors of the bench. "I guess on the scale of things it wasn't that bad. You know how close Kai and I were, don't you?" He asked, without expecting an answer. "I found out yesterday that he had been lying to me for... I don't know how long. I can remember that it was a few months ago that he started having to finish a lot of 'projects' or something like that in the lunchtimes. I didn't think much of it- I just thought that he was finally beginning to succumb to the pressures of schoolwork and actually had to take away our lunchtimes together to do that. What I found out yesterday was that Kai's been seeing that red haired kid, Tala Ivanov. You know that guy that Kai was with? Him. So yesterday I found out that not only was my best friend gay and didn't tell me. He was also seeing someone who I thought he hated." Brooklyn carefully left out the part about the fact that he he had been developing a semi-crush on Tala before her had found out about Kai.

Bryan raised his eyebrows at the lengthy explanation. "I see. So since you found out that he was lying to you about all these things, you decided to try and ruin their lives and then..." he nodded towards Brooklyn's legs. "A little drastic don't you think? I'm sure you could have all just talked about it."

Bryan blinked. "There you go, assuming things again. I never said it was pathetic, just drastic." He thought for a few moments. "Do you think Kai would have done the same to you?"

Brooklyn looked away from Bryan and shrugged guiltily. "I don't know." He said quietly. "Probably not. He probably would have just ignored what has happening." Brooklyn grinned ironically. "Or deem it beneath his notice."
