"I said don't be a p***k about it!" John said sarcastically.
He charged Nich head on, a foolish move no doubt. However about six steps before he hit Nich, John uttered the spell, "Trine!" Three planes of electrical energy would come from three different sides that John was not attacking from. Timed correctly, they would force Nich to dodge the electrical planes just as John would be bull rushing through for a upper body slam with the sheer force of his outright speed combined with his strength from attack damage.

"But being a p***k is the best part!" Nick yelled, looking around him as the electricity headed ever closer. The Avatar of Chaos growled, kneeling down for a split second, then launching himself high into the air. He just needed a moment to bombard his opponent. He could tell by the size of that weapon that one hit would shatter his body, so hit and run would be the best option.
The fact that he surrounded me with lightning magic proves that he's no simpleton tank, either. He will attempt to crush me with strategy and brute force. It's a shame that I have to destroy him, though. Nick thought from the highest point in his jump, his body beginning to descend from gravity's pull. He slowly muttered to himself, channeling wind magic around his right foot. Nick's descent began to get faster, as wind rushed around him in his fall towards John, flying kick aimed square in the chest.

John's speed increased as he ran, and it was understandable that Nich would dodge his attack.
Nich's jump was foreseeable, and John decided to meet Nich anyways with his warhammer. John sent a blast of Magnet magic below him which would propel him into the oncoming Nicholas. Warhammer already ready in hand, John would attempt to meet his warhammer with Nich's foot.

Nick's foot hit his opponent's warhammer, and he felt the immovable object hit the unstoppable force. The two collided, and Nick bounced off of John's weapon and jumped backwards. While in the air, he aimed a hand towards the lightning user and released blasts of wind to hopefully knock him down.
After shooting a few blasts, he summoned his sword and prepared for what would come...whatever that John had planned.

John let the wind blasts carry him toward the ground as he cast a magnetic field to stop him from continuing on to hit the ground. He bounced off the field gracefully and landed on his feet as he noticed Nick had summoned his own sword.
Ah, perfect then...
John charged up his war hammer with electrical energy and continued to do so until it could hold know longer.
"Thick Skin!" he called as his physical appearance was covered by a soft glow of electrical energy (physical defense buff).

Nick landed carefully, eyeing John warily from within his armor. He unsummoned his blade, aiming both palms at the lightning user and grinning.
After a few moments, a large gust of wind swept across the battlefield, heading towards John full force.

John responded to the wind spell with one of his own. He pointed the end of his war hammer at Nich's spell and out of the end of his a large beam of lightning energy exploded from the end. The lightning would hit the wind spell straight on.
"MORE NICH BOY. MOOOOORE!!!" John shouted over the sound of the spells.

Nick frowned behind his helmet, then dashed towards John in a zigzag pattern, blade out. He imagined his dark magic circling around his blade, turning his normally white blade to a glowing green. The moment he was in range, he released his blade into its whip form and began swinging madly at John.

Embrace... embrace... embrace...
Nich's attacks from his whip were swift and sharp, but the positive aspect to John's lack of dodge was his ability to block incoming attacks. He used his arms up, war hammer unsummoned to block some of the incoming attacks. Durability was a beautiful thing. As Nich attacked John felt the sharp stings on his body and once in range, John leaped from his static position in a bull rush to take Nich down to the floor of the arena.
If successful, John would activate his shock spikes to send electrical charges into his body.
If unsuccessful, John would simply roll and summon his war hammer to defend the next attack.

Nick's eyes widened as John charged him, rolling out of the way just in the nick of time as charged through. He cursed to himself, feeling a bit of his HP drain away as his blade turned a deep crimson. He roared, leaping into the air and bringing his sword down towards John full force.

War hammer already summoned John readied himself for a block. The sword was only greater than the hammer in the hands of the correct wielder. He put up the hammer to block Nich's attack and used the force to swing him around for an attack of his own. He spun around quickly with the momentum of the block and attempted to land a blow on the mid portion of Nich's body in front of him.

Nick jumped into the air, but cursed as the war hammer smacked him in the leg. He felt the world spin around him as he hurtled into the air, but quickly caught himself and unleashed a barrage of aerial blasts at John, also using the small propulsion of wind magic to help him level himself.

John raised his war hammer to help aid in blocking the incoming aerial blasts. They managed to push him back as he stood braced in a defensive position. When that was over, he formed a large ball of electrical energy on his right side. After growing rather large, John smacked it with it's war hammer, and it split into many smaller balls that were there to only surround Nich in case he were to move. If touched, the balls would explode with electrical energy damaging Nich.
John charged for Nich's position once more, only this time dragging his war hammer behind him. He kept his right hand free. In his attempt to grab onto Nich, John would have uttered the spell "Live Wire!", which would send electricity surging through his body.

Nick grinned as he saw the electrical orbs surrounded him. He took a deep breath in, and begun to spin rapidly. Streaks of wind began forming quickly and enveloped the Dark Knight, creating a dome of wind magic. Most attacks against the dome would be ineffective, but an extremely powerful attack possibly could break through.
It won't last long, time to think of a new plan of attack.

The spheres of energy remained stagnant and remained independent from John's control. They would now explode on contact if Nick touched them as that was the purpose set to them. With the shield Nich put up John continued to go about dotting the battle field with electrical mines in the air and on the ground to make moving and evading John's attacks excessively hard. The balls were weak in power so that there could be lots of them, but the power behind them would be that if you hit one, it would bounce you to others around it dealing small amounts of excessive damage over time.
He ran fast as he did this so as to make himself hard to hit by a stray potshot from Nich.
