{James : Halloween Town : Oogie's Pit}
James sighed in relief as it seemed all of the Heartless were finally gone. He had sustained some damage but it wasn't anything terribly serious. A few cuts and bumps. Nothing really to him anymore.
'Especially compared to a stab in the side and a thirty foot fall....'
He thought to himself recalling the most painful memory he had since he had come here. That one took the cake, no doubt about it. He turned his attention back to the one and only thing still in their way... Oogie Boogie. Right as he was about to make a charge forward though he had to make a full out dive of a retreat first to dodge being smashed by the giant playing cards which had shot up to new heights towering above them only to fall over. When the corsair rose to his feet again the sight that he saw filled him with dread.
'No!'
Standing above them was what could only be a giant scale, Oogie standing in the middle as the counter weight to two cages on either side... on one side was the Enchantress, the very woman they had come here to save and on the other was their one and only white mage, Rae! The first member of the group to really reach out to James when they had first met up in Agrabah... it seemed like ages ago when in actual fact it wasn't much more then just a few days. Below both of them were two giant cauldrons of something bubbling and green.... definitely not something to allow them to get dunked into. They had to save them but how... to knock Oogie off would result in both of them going in and to save one would undoubtedly result in the other's demise.
"Damn this is as cheap as it gets!"
He cursed out loud as while they contemplated how to save them Oogie was pulling himself back together... literally. There had to be something they could do, but he couldn't really think of anything that he could do to change this turn of events in their favor.
'If I shoot at him he might fall off and that will be the end of all we came here for...'
{Auron : Halloween Town : Oogie's Pit}
Auron was in very much the same situation that the corsair was in. He dove to the side just as one of the cards fell right where he had been and when he got up he too observed the grim situation. The samurai stared at the barely balanced scale thinking of anyway he might be able to change the situation. To save one would result in losing the other and to take out Oogie would result in losing them both.
'I guess for now we wait for an opportunity to attack.'
A nasty prospect since it seemed that while they waited, their opponent was stitching himself back together. But the unsent samurai really didn't see any other way to proceed right now.
{General Li Shang and Leon : Land of Dragons : Throne Room}
Shang watched as the lightning struck at multiple members of the group. A few of them able to dodge it at least. Still though it seemed as though the Heartless was immune to melee attacks right now, more then less making him useless.
'There must be something I can do though...'
Leon was slow to recover, the bolt of lightning hit him straight on and the only reason he had not crashed to the floor was due to the fact he had used his gunblade as a support. He finally managed to shake it off though and get back to his feet. It seemed that melee attacks were indeed useless and it also seemed the great majority of the group did not possess magic. He truly hoped that the Heartless in this state was not impregnable. He raised his hand outward and charged a fire spell in his hand.
"If regular attacks won't work then let's try magic. Fire!"
He yelled out as he blasted the fireball at the heartless hoping to damage it.

[Kyla: LoD: Throne Room]
Magic was definitely the way to go now, and with Tyu- er- carbuncle backing her up, Kyla felt a serious boost of confidence.
"... my turn."
The book suddenly lit up like it was on fire, the image she finished glowing like the sun was in the ink!
" Heads up!" She warned, deciding she would do that from now on, she couldn't afford to have people hit by accident.
As Leon and Riku fired, Amy healed- and other took their swings and other magical shots at it, Kyla felt it was the perfect to try out her new trick.
The attack emerged and looked just like Birn Strike lvl 2, only it was opalescent in the sense you could see other faint colors amongst the white. As it dove towards the target, the giant bird suddenly shattered! It broke into hundreds of small versions of itself and together they swarmed all over Kurt Zisa, hitting it over, and over, and over like flock of angry birds of prey, or bees who's nest was broken open! There were so many in number the heartless was enveloped and lifted even higher into the air as the attack progressed.
Kyla had her book held aloft, pointed directly at it, and not once did the girl break her focus, her eyes trained on the target. She didn't even blink!
It was important she did not break eye contact, not even for a second. The pictomancer held, and held, and held, and the burning flock continued to swell, blow and spin, and completely thrash their entrapped victim. They were smashing and flying all around it, until finally it looked like Kyla couldn't hold the attack any longer and the image vanished. Her body shook and she dropped her arm like she finally let go of something very very heavy. She exhailed. The flock disappeared the moment she let them go, releasing their swarming hold upon Kurt Zisa allow it to fall back towards the ground.

{ Kurt Zisa ~ The Fury of the Desert } As the multitudes of attacks began to strike at Kurt Zisa's impenetrable barrier, he never ceased his motions, hovering around the field, his arms always slightly waving, charging up for the next attack. The Earth Fang, the Lightning Orb, his own reflected Lightning Blast; even the Dia Crystals seemed to do nothing to Kurt Zisa, though one could see the barrier was sustaining damage by its flickering with every strike. All the while, he simply hovered, waiting for the next mass spell to be ready. When Kyla began to use her new form of the Birn Strike, Kurt Zisa did begin to move upward- but only barely, an inch or so. It was hardly enough to be considered a feat, the many strikes just tearing away at the barrier. One might think that such a massive amount of blows would be extremely damaging, but the fact of the matter was, they were all mere fractions of an actual Birn Strike 2. The sum was more than the whole, sure, but they were all but bee stings. Finally, as the attack stopped and he 'fell' the inch or two back to his normal hovering height, they would notice that he'd made his way into the center of the Throne Room and his four free arms formed an X. There was a light breeze for a moment... and then, three massive tornadoes formed and began to revolve around him, each with more than enough power to pick them off their feet. Debris from the battle, such as broken floor tiles and small chunks of cement, were also being flung around, none particularly deadly but damaging nonetheless.

{James : Halloween Town : Oogie's Pit}
James continued to study and analyze the situation, frustration showed clearly on his face. If anything went wrong they could lose either an ally and friend, their objective or both... neither of which was a good end and none of them wanted any of the above. What were his options? To attack Oogie directly might result in Oogie falling which would end it all and to try to save one would result in losing the other or him just tipping the scale in the other's doom. What did he have in his arsenal he could use. He reached into his deck box and pulled out the three cards that had awakened so far. One bared the blazing mark of a flame, another the a shimmering ice crystal, and the last the swirling of winds in the air.
'Wind Shot is healing... useless in this scenario. Fire Shot would just destroy whatever I am trying to do... Not good... That just leaves Ice...'
His attention turned once again to the situation, looking at the scales but more importantly that... the mechanics of the device. His attention focused on where the two arms met. The gap that allowed them to lower and rise.
"I got it!"
'If I freeze the arm then it will shut down the scale, it won't save them but it will give us some time to figure out a way to save them. But I don't think Ice Shot is strong enough on it's own...'
'Who said you had to do it alone?'
The lunar wolf Fenrir interjected into this thoughts and the Corsair nodded his head in understanding, his attention shifting to the other side of the battlefield where the one person who could help him was.
"Guys! I've got an idea. It will at least buy us some time. But you guys need to find out some way to deal with saving them afterward."
He said to the group in general into his trinity charm that hung around his wrist as he ran across the now more then less completely clear field. Landing on top of the fallen cards with a metallic clang with each large stride he took. His long legs allowing him to run very fast to get into the right position so his shot would get the ice in between the scales where he needed it. The Ice Card still in his hand as it began to glow it's soft blue light, a cooling sensation in his hand as the power began to build as if in anticipation. He spoke into the charm again to get Mizu's attention.
"Mizu... I have an idea, But I don't think my Ice Shot is strong enough to do it on it's own. I need your Ice Magic. Together we can freeze the lever arm in place. That will give the rest of the group the time we need to save the Enchantress and Rae. What do you say?"

[Kichi :: LoD :: Throne Room]
Kichi was healed, and looked around to see who did it. noticing the faint shimmer from Amy, waved at her, and said a quick "Thanks!"
He turned to Kyla, to see how she fared, to see her being protected by Carbuncle. 'Huh...her summon was actually Carbuncle...?' it wasn't long before she unleashed an attack of her own however, which awed Kichi. SUch an amazing flurry of magic was incredible to watch. "Wow...Way to go Kyla!!" He shouted to her. Even if Kurt Zisa was unharmed, that was an incredible display, and if he remembered correctly, that shield was TOUGH. The fact that she had fazed it that much with her attack was incredible. "We better keep up, right, Bahamut?!"
'Indeed, let's show how useful we can be as well!'
Then Kichi pointed both of his tonfa out towards Zisa, glyphs appearing at the ends. THe glyphs glow increased in brightness for a second, and then he yelled, Bahamut's own voice coming out a little as well. "Here we go! TWIN FLARE!!" And with that, two large Flare shots shot out at the upper half of the barrier, which would of course, explode on contact (He was of course careful to make sure that they were high enough on the barrier so as not to hit anyone around the bottom). However, just as they impacted, Kichi noticed the formation of Kurt Zisa's arms. "CRAP!" He said, as the tornadoes started up. He immediately started gliding, and looked around to see if there was anyone in particular who needed his help. Then, at that moment, he was picked up by a tornado, and was swung around with all the debris. He used his gliding power to basically repel the debris away from him, occasionally knocking a piece or two away or blocking with his tonfa. "Damn, this is gonna be hard to keep up with..."

[Cory .:. Hellscape]
The renegade looked around at his surroundings, knowing instantly that he had lost the control for dominance. It must be either completely random, or I was underestimating that girl's psyche...
"Ah well, at least I know control was passed over to someone competent... God knows what would have happened if I had fused with Timmy..." It was then he fully turned his attention to where he was-
The blood-red tendrils were everywhere, connecting the barren earth to the lightning-ravaged clouds above. There was no sun, only a burning wind as the fires littering the landscape heated up the air. This was no simply hallucination, though- Cory had truly gone to his personal hell. A place of no light, only fire.
"I wasn't expecting to see you again so soon." The rogue turned to see a young boy, his face being a spitting image of Cory as a child. The young boy stood there in his gray, boring garbs with his arms crossed, casting a glare at the renegade. "I guess you're probably wondering who I am, huh?..."
"Not really."
The intense air around the two suddenly vanished as the young boy look around the ground in a defeated manner. "I'm Alan..."
Cory simply began picking his nose as he replied, "I don't care."
Alan suddenly charged at the renegade, kicking at him with the Grieve Edge only to have it guard by the Revblade. "TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY!"
"YOU'RE TEN!" Cory pushed back and sent his doppelganger flying, only for the young boy to land easily on his feet.
"I liked you a lot better when you were dead... You can't take anything seriously!"
"Life's a joke and death is the punchline."
"HOW IS THAT RELEVANT?!" Alan charged again, sweeping at Cory's feet only to find he had perched on the Revblade. As his leg collided with the flat of the blade, the boy put more power into his feet, resulting in the Revblade flying off into the distance. Another kick was quickly sent up at Cory's face, the Grieve Edge itching for blood only to meet nothing. The young boy turned to see Cory catch the thrown sword and dash in at the child.
The ronin swung downward at Alan, missing and crashing into the ground. Where one would normally take time to remove their weapon Cory simply kept moving, his weapon tearing the ground apart like tissue paper as it gave it's distinctive roar. Swing at swing, Alan barely dodged the attacks until finally, a connection. The image of the young boy faded into darkness, sending a faintly interested look across Cory's face. The rogue turned and looked at Alan, back in the original spot he had been when he first saw him.
"Tch... At least you can still fight while being goofy..."
Cory scratched at his chest and yawned before saying, "I don't know what you're getting at, but you're pretty boring, kid."
Alan could only sigh as he dismissed the Grieve Edge. "You're impossible..."
The Revblade was suddenly looped around the child's neck from behind, it's edge pressing lightly against Alan's jugular as Cory asked, "What's the meaning of all this? I'm getting tired of playing around, and you're here for a reason."
Alan sighed before saying, "Alright fine. The reason I showed up instead of your normal nightmares is..."

[Kyla: LoD: Throne Room]
Well, no magical deus machina this time, she thought to herself, but she didn't expect her attack to do much. This boss was VERY difficult according to how it was dipicted before in the archives. So why should the real one be any different?! But that wasn't her main reason for the change in attack pattern, it clarified something for her. In that stage, the targets barrier could be hit from all directions. So targeting wasn't crucial in that state. Good, less to worry about.
Was someone yelling at her?
Kyla's eyes flickered back towards Kichi, the tonfa weilder seemed impressed! She couldn't help but smile, it's always good to feel appreciated for hard work. No time to bask in it though, fight fight fight! Kichi unleashed his own magical assault on the enemy- twin flare! Where had she seen that...? So familiar. Did he say Bahamut?! ...woah.. now THERE was a hardcore summon for yah. The tables turn drastically in any game she played once she obtained that dragon.
Would it be the same now?
As the attacks exploded Kyla was alreayd starting her next attack, when the sound of it's arms moving- like gears grinding in a machine- attacted her attention. She caught the tail end of the shifting and bite back her curse as the tornados appeared.
They sucked up debris and and tossed it around at them, and drew people up off their feet! Kyla crouched, trying to not get caught up.
"Carbuncle- can you do anything to help?!"
"I'll try, I can defend you from impact, but wind magic is different! Just keeping trying to ground yourself!" But it didn't seem she would be able to. And try and she could, Kyla couldn't get her papers to stop flapping in the wind to finish anything! She yelled in frustration as some of her pages tore off and got blown away!

[ Kyle ; Sora ; Oogie : HT : Oogie's Pit ]
Kyle cursed under his breath as they were forced into a stalemate. They couldn't move, but neither could Oogie. He stood silently, his swallow still tightly in his hand as he took a step back to analyze it all.
The scales were mechanically fixed, chains connecting the side scales to the middle counter-weight that was Oogie Boogie. The chain ends were attached to the top of the cages, which were welded to the actual scales themselves, meaning they couldn't simply have Valefor fly over and lift off the cages to let the two women out. Oogie's counterweight had no cage on it, and was instead kept lifted by a set of split-chains, attached to four corners. The mechanism in the middle appeared pretty sensitive to any movement he made; even one inch to a certain side made the other drop down that very inch.
As Zeba spoke into the charms, Kyle remained stoic, his eyes taking a sweep over the arena at everyone's locations. The fighters, such as himself and Joe were closest to the contraptions, with Jenny and Louis to one side, James back a little further, and Bobbi on the opposite side of Louis and Jenny, making a sort of V with Oogie being the bottom point.
There were too many possibilities; and so many ended in failure that it was beginning to give Kyle a headache; however, James soon spoke up to Bobbi (calling her by her nickname), whispering his plans about freezing the contraption.
That won't work. Oogie's massive; all he'd have to do is jump a few times and the ice would shatter, and so too might the contraption...
... if we could get Oogie to stay still, then we might be able to get to them, but we'd still have to worry about those cauldrons...
... we might be able to move them, but they're filled to the brim... as big as they are, with that much liquid, moving them would be...
Kyle blinked for a moment before swiftly lifted his charm up to his mouth, glaring at Oogie as he spoke.
"Bobbi, James, it's worth a shot- try to get Shiva to help if you've got enough MP in you. But before you try that- Sora. You still remember your Stop magic from 3 years ago, right?"
"Oiy, what are you little pests whispering about?"
"Hmm... yeah, I think I can pull that old trick out, but with Oogie, it'd have to be a Stopra, at least-"
"Hey, I'm the guy you should be groveling to, you know, you should pay attention-"
"Pull a StopGA if you have to, but that has to be the first step. The moment he casts that, James and Bobbi should freeze the middle of the machine- that way, he can't try and break it free by jumping. From there, we can try to push the cauldrons, but Jenny- you're a Time Mage, do you know the Float spell? It would make lifting those things a lot easier-"
"LOOK AT ME, YOU WANNABE HEROES, I'M THE BIG DOG NOW-"
"Oh, shut up, you big oaf!" Sora shouted away from his charms so as to not yell into anyone else's minds. "We get it, you've got us cornered. Now we're at your mercy, blah blah- so, what exactly were you gonna try to do with the Enchantress?"
"Oh, goody, I get to monologue!" Oogie said, suddenly smiling and clapping his cloth-y appendages. "Well, you see, since she's got such a great amount of power, I was gonna turn ALL the worlds into a Halloween World! But she was a little uncooperative, and-"
As Oogie continued to monologue, the rest waited for Jenny's response.

[Alice :: "The Gorge"]
Alice stared as the anti-forms took, the large masses of earth still floating around her. She thought she was done already, but as the shadows milled about, Alice grew impatient. She side glanced to Timmy and scoffed at his comment.
"Not a walk in the park for you, maybe," The animator smirked as the boulders around her started gaining momentum. Her eyes narrowed at the words, but if she didn't strain her ears she would've missed them entirely. It sounded familiar but she couldn't put her finger on it. "I don't have time for your games," she muttered, as she tossed the chunks that were dripping with the blue-black fire.

{ Anti-Ajoras } The boulders crushed the few Anti-forms that had been targeted, while sending those that remained into a frenzy, jumping out of the shadows at the duo, hands shaped almost like a Neoshadow's claws. There was definitely more than 12 now, each jumping for one of the two Rogues, some going for a high blow while others going for a low sweep. They didn't seem to be targeting the hearts, as a usual Heartless would, instead simply trying to take the two fighters down. The Gargoyle that had been spared by Cory's failed Iai attack watched from afar, quietly, before disappearing into a Corridor of Darkness.

{Kyle(II) : Land of Dragons : Throne Room}
Recovering from the painful bolt, Kyle stood up, albeit a bit shaky. A long stream of colorful words emerged from his mouth, muttered so as not to be heard by anybody else. How was he supposed to defend himself from lighting?! It was ridiculous, completely and utterly ridiculous. He couldn't reflect the lightning, he couldn't dodge it, he coul---
You could have ground yourself. If you had attached the ground to your feet, you could have passed the electricity through your body and into the ground. It would still hurt, but not nearly as much. Oh, and it would help save you from this attack coming up.
Oh well, no time like the present. Time to start on your lessons on terramancy. Terramancy is a form of magic that manipulates the earth, not in the sense of natural magic that utilizes flora, but directly with the earth: rock, metal, and mineral. Granted, metal and minerals are much more difficult to manipulate, as they are even more resistant to change than the rocks around you. As you can imagine, it takes strength to manipulate the earth. There are no flighty movements, nothing based on speed to attack. You must feel the earth and capture it, pushing with all of your might to bring it under your control. However, once you do what you want with it, it will stay that way. For example, say that you want to create a wall. It takes strength to bring it up, but when you've finished, you can remove your magic and go to another task and the wall will stay, whereas you need constant control for other elements. That's a basic summary of what you will need to do to become a terramancer. We can get into more details later. Now, protect yourself from being swept up by the wind.
As the tornadoes began to pick up speed and power, Kyle closed his eyes and tried to feel his magic. Searching, without knowing what he was looking for, he found it on accident. A strong feeling, reassuring, powerful. Sinking into it, he sent it down his body into the ground, attempting to pull it up onto his legs to anchor him. However, it wouldn't budge. Without quite realizing it, he moved himself into a stronger stance, legs spread farther apart, bent at the knees, his arms outstretched, gripping his katars tightly. Trying again, he pulled up with his arms, moving slowly, almost as if through mud. He could feel the earth shifting slowly underneath him, moving slowly upwards to hold him down.
Too slow. It's going too slow! I need it to be faster than this! I won't be any help if it's so slow! He thought to himself, sinking deeper and deeper into his magic. Too slow. Too slow. You need to move faster. I need to be faster than this! Immersing himself into his magic completely, he gave it one final try, pushing with all of his strength. Surprisingly, his arms flew up, bringing the earth with him. It was safely attaching him to the ground, flowing from the ground up to a point just below his knees. I...I did it... He thought to himself, staring down in wonder.
Well, I helped a bit at the end. You would have ripped your arms apart if you had tried to do that faster. You're a novice. You don't have the power to manipulate it at the speed you want yet. But don't worry. You'll undergo a hell of a lot of training eventually.
While that does worry me, I'm more concerned about the here and now. He said to Midgardsormr, now fully aware of his surroundings again. Seeing various pieces of debris surrounding him, he deflected them with his katars, no longer able to dodge.

[Amy : Land of Dragons : Throne Room]
"No problem," Amy said in response to Kichi, smiling as she took off again, holding true to her 'keep moving' strategy. She would be lying if she said she wasn't enjoying herself. Being a healer wasn't exactly her preferred job class, but curing people sure did have it's reward. Besides giving her a good moral high, it was shiny! The crystals sparkled, and shimmered, and- God, she was easily amused.
Looking around for others who were hit by the lightning, she spotted a few who looked like they needed help more than the others. Maggie, for one, looked like she was out of commission, as did Cloud. Demyx, too? Leon had been hit, too, and he was closest to her at the moment. She cast Cura on him as well, and not a moment later was swept off her feet by Kurt Zisa's latest attack. She hit the floor first, and as the tornadoes continued their rampage, she was almost sucked up into one, clinging to a floor tile just to avoid that fate. Chunks of debris hit her hard, threatening to break that hold.

[Mulan & Mushu : LoD : Throne Room]
It took several minutes for Mulan to recover from the bolt of thunder that struck her. She got back up to her feet and watched as several attacks struck the Kurt Zisa. Though a few made hits it wasn't enough to take it out.
The female warrior's attention then turned to the girl who had the sketchbook in her hand. Her magic seemed to do the most damage to the fiend, but thanks to wind, she was unable to cast anymore of her magic. Mulan rushed to aid the girl but the gust of wind knocked off balance. A large piece of debris came and hit her in the face. The hit knocked her guardian dragon off of her shoulder.
Mushu went flying into the tornado. He continued flying higher and higher.
"Oh, boy, talk about a ride," he yelled out, "Not fun, ahaaahaha!!!"
He continued flying through the air. Due to his dizziness and the dust from the debris, his mind was completely light headed. The dragon sneezed a flame.
"Ah excuse...me," the dragon excused himself, his eyes widened as the 'sneeze' started to combine with the wind of the tornado, "Oh boy..."
Mulan's eyes widened as the tornado started to become that of fire. She picked herself back off the ground, she ran the rest of the way towards Kyla.
"Get down!" she shouted to the girl as she reached to pull her down and cover her. Mulan watched the twister. She prayed that it would not harm her allies, and hit the heartless as well.

[Jenny :: Oogie's Pit]
The mage stared into the bracelet, the charms swiveled on the string next to the silver linked bell bracelet that her mom had given her for graduation. It jingled briefly before Jenny moved on to concentrate on what was being said through the charms. It sounded good enough, Oogie frozen over painted a nice picture in her head. She could always aid by throwing in a Stop spell but she wasn't sure if it was up to par with Sora's magic. Most probably not.
Then Kyle said something about a Float spell... did she know the Float spell? Not that she recalled, she knew it was capable for time mages but she didn't know the song. They needed the song! Oh God... "Uhmm..."
~"Calm down, just concentrate!"
"I am!"
~"You are not! Deep breath... focus on the cauldrons."
Jenny bit her lower lip, trying to take Siren's advice... a deep breath. She put her flute to her mouth, wracking her brain for a song. A note came out, timid and shaky and the space in front of the cauldrons shifted a little as if the air shook unnaturally before fizzling out and the air smoothed out again. Brown eyes furrowed into a frown. Concentrate... Closing her eyes, she took another breath before blowing into her flute. Again, the notes wavered but after the fourth note or so, the song strengthen and the space around the giant pots fluttered again, more gently this time around.
"I think, I can get it..."
