Personality: Zhaleh was always a sweet girl, even if she had a little mischievous streak that might get her into trouble. Once she was forced into slavery, she still tried to keep true to herself, but belonging to someone else makes this hard. She's lost all devious, playful parts of her and has turned into a more obediant, if slow, servant.
Background: I'm assuming that her and her family were commoners, lower, which made her much more at-risk/easier to become a slave. She had a simple life growing up, watching her parents help feed the pride as she herself assumed she would do when she grew older. Her parents were killed in a hunting "accident" when she was an adolescent, along with a brother. She had a sister, but after her parents deaths, she ran away (hmm...), and Zhaleh was left alone, leaving her vulnerable and quite easily to submit to being a slave to survive (at least in her mind).
Are you interested in the Rise of the Chosen One metaplot?: not really~ I think she'd play her part as she's told by her superiors.
