 TommyTommy tilted his head as he watched Anthony's tail.
He was then struck by curiosity.
"Do you have any finished paintings I could see? I love art~" He said.
He couldn't really say he'd seen much art in his life, though.

At the mention of his paintings the Smeargle sighed.
"I have one thats finished. Meet me back here and I'll show you."
With that he turned to head back to the team room and retrieve it.

TommyTommy smiled and nodded.
"Okie dokie!~" He said.
Now he just needed to kill some time.
He ran back to his team room.
He remembered Jessica saying she'd have a surprise for him there.

The Smeargle was not keen to show off this particular painting, he clutched it to his chest as he waltzed back into the courtyard.
Huh, where did Tommy run off to now?

Tommy trotted gracefully back into the courtyard.
"Sorry I'm late," He said.
"As you can see, I was busy getting a makeover~"

Anthony turned at the voice, pausing to stare at the Delcatty before him. His canvas dropped from his paws in his shock.
The Painting fell face up, pure black with streaks of red and dark blue. Very depressing to look at.
"Tommy?"

TommyTommy giggled and walked up next to Anthony.
"Yup!~" He said before he looked down at the painting.
"Oooh, it looks really dark. I like it!" He purred.
Tilting his head, he looked a little closer.
"What is it?"

"It is pain, death and despair. All that is wrong with the world." The Smeargle explained, and though he spoke of such depressing things he was starring at the brightly-colored Delcatty.

TommyThe Delcatty's ears lowered a little and flattened against the back of his head.
"Oh... That's a little depressing..." He said, looking back.
He knew there was evil in this world, he had experienced it first hand back in that really cold valley.
"Well, there are still good things to inspire you to paint, right?" He asked.
It would be a bummer if Anthony only painted depressing things like this.

"Perhaps I will paint you." Came the Smeargle's reply as he picked the painting up and then he realized that Tommy was all white, say for his pink fur.
At that realization the painter Pokemon muttered a curse and his tail went beat red, luckily his face didnt match it.

TommyTommy's face went red.
He had never been painted before!
He then noticed the way Anthony was suddenly acting.
"What's wrong? I know, I'm not worth painting, huh?" He said sadly.

Oh no.
"It-its not that! I swear its just...I dont...the lighting is all...I...cant make white." The Smeargle wrung his tail between his paws in shame.
What Smeargle couldnt make all the colors? IT WAS A TRAVESTY.

TommyTommy's ears went back up again.
"Oh, is that all?~" He meowed.
"That's no problem at all! I mean, the canvas is already white when it's clean, isn't it?" He asked.

BRILLIANT!
Why hadnt he thought of that before?! He could paint around the white of the canvas and give the illusion of white!
The Smeargle gave a barking laugh and threw both arms around the Delcatty to pick him up in a hug and spin him around.
"YOUR A GENIUS!"

TommyAt first, Tommy was startled.
But he eventually just giggled and purred as he was hugged and spun around.
"Well, thank you~" He said with a little blush.
"I'm always here to help~"
