...Demonic?
A pronounced facial tic appeared.
Scribbler would have loved to 'debate' that particular point, but she was just the slightest bit weaponless at this point. Running on just adrenaline, too, but that was another matter.

She settled for seething quietly and hoping for a satisfactory explanation from Farskon. The one thing she hated most was when someone generalized based on appearance. Valeto the Vain, indeed.

A stilettoed foot tapped, despite her best efforts to keep still.

[which is all bloody great and wonderful, but keep in mind he just trod all over our character's dignities. ^^ it makes sense IC.]

Emma could sense the power about him, but it provoked a rather unlikely reaction from her. If she could feel it...suffice to say that it was not a good sign.

The mark of a master was when they showed no power at all most of the time.

A vein in Emma's neck jumped at the barely-veiled insult, but she let her silence speak for her.

((Besides, Emma's stood up to demigods. This guy isn't going to scare her into submission.))

[[Ditto, our characters have talents for ticking off the divine.]]

What should I tell him?

"I don't feel like telling," He told Valeto,"Bloody hell, what's your deal anyway?"

"A new awakened?" Valeto growled, annoyed.

"Just forget it, we don't have time for this," He said sourly."We have a city to overtake."

I don't care.

Emma took Scribbler's arm gently and directed the inkmancer away from the two males, whispering something to her as she walked away.

"I say we cut his manhood in two and make him eat it."

The truth would work. Provided he doesn't go nuts and try to kill you with soul magic too, Scribbler projected...a wee bit late.

A surreptitious glance around the room took in various pinned plans and maps. It looked not unlike the city they had just left. The inkmancer committed them to memory, just in case she got her hands on a brush and paper later.
Maybe even a pen. Those could be dangerous in more ways than one, and she found herself carried away in counting the various ways a pen could be used to incapacitate.

Her hands itched desperately at Emma's suggestion.
"That'd take a while to heal," she found herself muttering.

[...wonderful. Can we expect epic on the battlefield from angry deities, then?]

I heard that, but can we do that after I get some info?

There's so much I have to ask him, despite me wanting to kick him in Jimmy parts.

Farskon stood there awkwardly unsure whether to walk off, and let Valeto ride off; or to grovel and ask him information.

He could smack himself for even coming to a decision like this.
Farskon sighed.

"Lightly braised in a red-wine reduction, perhaps..." Emma continued in an attempt to lighten her absolutely foul mood and banish the temptation. "Either that or I could try and remember some of the nastier things that were done in the Crusades."

She contented herself with the mental image of those tortures.

Your decision, Farskon.
The projected voice was decidely amused, cruel ideas playing along the edges and just out of reach.
It'd be much easier if there was a different source of information. Maybe another of the Seven were around?

"Noodles. Shredded, with cheese...lightly simmered."

Another part of her brain was wondering if the lympatic system was wide enough to carry ink, for somewhat similar reasons.

I'm not getting information from him, blimey..... where are you?

A realization hit him, he turned to them, as if motioning them in urgency.

Something tickled the very edges of Emma's perception, the faintest, tiniest ripple on the spiritual and magical plains.

The mark of a master is when you barely feel anything. The only reason Emma could was because of her link.

Emma's aura went from dark and seething to glowing in a matter of moments, but she covered it as best she could.

Eh?
Scribbler walked back to Farskon, giving a curious glance to Emma. Something happened just now, and she wasn't sure what.
Two somethings, actually.
What's going on? Did you guys find something?
PostPosted: Fri Dec 11, 2009 9:51 pm

"This is the Battle of Souls," He said quickly,"I can tell; the events that have been happening; the biggest battle in the War of Kinds."

He gasped,"That also means two others of the Seven are here."

Emma, despite her recent positive discovery, felt a twitch develop in her eye. She marched over to a column and struck her head against the cool marble without a moment's hesitation.

"Bugger, bugger, bugger."
PostPosted: Fri Dec 11, 2009 9:57 pm

"..."
A hand went to Emma's shoulder.
"Stop it...you'll lose more brain cells that way," Scribbler murmured ironically, despite fighting the urge to join the enchantress in column abuse.
The inkmancer had a feeling they would be needing all the brain cells they could muster.

"Two of the Seven?" she threw back to Farskon, curious.

"I'm going to try and knock myself out. Maybe I'll wake up and this whole accursed business will be over."

Emma's hands were gripping the column on either side of her head. "Somebody is going to die soon at my hand."
