*Luke stops. He blinks and frowns, remembering the last person he saw fade into the Brink. He looks up at Luana, with sudden interest.* So part of his body was mechanical?

*Luke takes a moment to consult his buzzing mind. No, that was ******** impossible. This couldn't be true --- any more so that a person could be made into a Cyborg. For the thousandth time, Luke wonders if he's losing his mind but....*

Luana raked her fingers through her hair. "How was he? Did he look okay? Do you know how long he's been coming here? Who else was here with you? What-?" She stopped when she realized she wasn't giving Luke any time to answer. She took a breath. "Sorry, I just... I never thought this would happen."

*Well, you're not the only one, babe. Luke put up his hands. He still wasn't sure what was happening, but for the moment he was willing to suspend reality and react...* I dunno, what to tell you, Luana. He looked... He could talk and stand up. I was only in here for a couple minutes.

*Luke ran a hand down his face. He's been having to do a lot of this recently. This whole responsible for what happens to other people, what they do, and say was ******** weak. But whether Luke realizes it or not, he's getting better at it.*
He asked.... He wanted to know if he was dead. Cora told him where he was and what was going on. Then, I disappeared before I could say anything else.

*Enter Luana from Main Room*There was noone else there. Good, she thought. I don't need an audience.She picked up one of the bean bag chairs, through it up into the air, then gave it a hard kick in the direction of the pool tables. She did this over and over until most of the bean bags were in a pile by one of the tables. Then, tired and breathing heavily, she started to pick up billiard balls and chuck them at the pile with all the force she could muster. It was no substitute for the basement gym, but it seemed to help relive the tension that had been forming over the past few days.
