Paladin 2012

"Auntie?!" Farskon asked worried, and ran up to her. He looked at the cloak he had taken. And his eyes widened. This was the cloak of Lyonel. Farskon put it on himself to make sure it was not tainted. He grinned, Vaswedes had given him something useful.

But instead of keeping it. He gave it to Scribbler."Feathers, you should have this; it evens things out." He grinned, as he had Galahad's Cloak. (Though it was sown into pants.)

Farskon reached down, and shouted."Vigoratus!" He pumped in soul energy. And sighed in relief as it healed Emma. The glow emerging signaling it's working.

He then collapsed, and silver fluid began running down his mouth.

Emma leaped to her feet after Farkson healed her, cursing under her breath. "Overextending yourself, boy, is not wise." She put a hand against his chest (still damning her physical weakness) and pushed her own magic into him.

"...!"
Silver fluid...not good, not good at all.
Emma seemed to be stable now, if a little tired.
Scribbler grasped the cloak, nervously flinging over her shoulders, and took a deep breath, channeling almost all of the soul energy she had. Not much...but hopefully it'd work and stop the leaking.

The small amount she pumped into the paladin was somehow amplified by the cloak over her shoulders, mixing with Emma's magic as it sought to heal the tear.

"We...need...to regroup," Scribbler manages between pants.

The Paladin sighed with ease. And got up slowly. He spat out a bit of silver fluid into the grass which instantly turned silver; and emitted a glow.

"Sorry about that," Farskon said awkwardly.

Emma took her hand away from the Paladin's chest and sat back on the grass with a sigh, breathing heavily.

"Scribbler is right..."

"How about we eeeeeeh how you say put an end to that?" Said the tone of Vaswede's but it was a Uniformed Soulless. His eye's glowed purple.

((Battle Ready!))

"...Not you goons again."
Scribbler regained her feet shakily with a snarl. She may have very little soul energy left, but she still had her ink.
The ink was currently being flung into tiny slivers at the moment, each small crescent blade aimed at the Soulless one...and to make matters more interesting, the ink was likely poisoned.

((Editing...oh, this is just miserable.))

Emma tried to get to her feet and failed horribly, allowing the Soulless to take her by the hair and begin dragging her away. Oh, she kicked and bit and scratched, but none of that seemed to help her as her feet left furrows in the earth.

((Somebody please get her out of there...))

[Paladin's roll]

"Let her go!" Farskon shouted, and drew his blades.

"On one condition," The uniformed Soulless said, in Vaswede's mocking voice. He shuddered as the ink poisoned him. But he still had time.

"I already know it," The Paladin replied hatefully.

"Oh you do little dove?" It asked, putting a dagger to Emma's throat. The Soulless would die from the ink soon, but it could still stab Emma.

Farskon nodded, and then the Soulless grabbed the Paladin.
They both disappeared in a flash of purple light.

"Farkson, no!" Emma cried from the ground as the Paladin vanished. "You idiot!"

But he was gone already. Emma's fist thumped against the earth as she bowed her head in defeat. "Damn."

Panicking would do no good now, and neither Enchantress nor Paene were ready to fight. Scribbler was regretting not dicing up the Soulless while she had the chance. But...they were still alive for now. There was still hope.

"We're going to get him back, right?"

Farskon? Farskon, are you still there? she tried to tap into the connection.

There was no response. He was either too far or gone.

"FFFFF...."
No answer. Not even a hint of which direction...either that or the room was warded against mental speaking.

"We'd best find some shelter, away from these patrols..."
And figure out how to find the little dove.

Scribbler took off the cloak, attempting to formulate a plan.

"My grounds would suffice." Emma said softly, staring straight ahead as she spoke. The struggle to maintain her composure was a great one.

At her side, her hands had curled into fists.

"Okay."

Scribbler willed herself to relax her grip on the cloak. "Thank you, Lady Emma."

She had an idea...but it would have to wait a little.
