Mori was about to yell something back when the man let four arrows flying towards her. Quickly she thought of the metal she had chosen. Just seconds before the arrows made contact with her soft skin, she coated her body with that metal causing the projectiles to bounce off of her. She then released the defensive move.

"How dare you say that. We have done nothing wrong!" The mage yelled at him. "We have to run for our lives, trying to keep from being hunted like animals. You all are the sinners. You kill so easily. What for? Because you hate the powers we were gifted with. Well here's some news for you! You are just like us! You have powers like us! So you have no right to be killing us." Amoria would not stand for the treatment she was receiving.

Iliad smiled as Sabine emerged from the door. His eyes traced her steps all the way from the bathroom until she took her seat at the table. He grabbed his fork and smiled when he heard her speak, "Yes, lets eat." He continued, "I poured you some apple cider, I'm not sure if you're one for it, but its better than plain old water." He took a sip of his own drink and began to eat the food he made.
Iliad continued to eat there without saying another word, not because he was trying to be mean, he was just hungry. He looked up after he was done and realized that they just ate in silence. Feeling slightly bad about it he appologized, "Sorry about ignoring you, I was kinda hungry." He sighed and rubbed his stomache, "I guess I needed a recharge after that partly hellish day we had yesterday." He stood up, grabbing his plate and cup. "It would have been totally hellish, but I met a certain someone that day so I can be too upset." He walked over to the kitchen and put his dirty dishes into the pale, along with the pan and other utensils he used to cook breakfast. Walking to his room he said, "I hope you forgive me for not waiting until you finish, but I've got to take a shower now too, see you in a bit okay." Iliad opened the door to his room and walked through.
He looked around and sighed, he hated getting up early, unless he had too, and from the looks of it the sun was barely up. Before he picked up his things and headed to the bathroom he stripped all loose clothes and dumped them into a hamper. This included his vest, shirt, and pants, leaving him in his braies. He shook his head, grabbed his towel and exited the room, heading for the bathroom.
Iliad stepped in and closed the door behind him. Iliad closed the door not because he was afraid Sabine would come in, in fact it would please him if she did, but he didn't want the noise of the shower to annoy her. Iliad hung the towel on the rack and stepped into the shower. Turning the water on Iliad sighed, knowing it was the start of a new day and began to clean himself with the expensive soaps he had aquired from a linen closet of a noble house.

Sabine -o- Winters

At first after they had started eating, the silence had been... okay. After a while though, Sabine felt it becoming a little awkward. They were both eating so it wasn't like it was purposely being that way, but it just felt weird. Before she even had a chance to speak, Iliad had left the table and headed to go have a shower himself. He had apologized for ignoring her, which she accepted, but this... was different.

She stood from the table when she was done with her food and placed the plates and silver wear into the basin to be cleaned later. She wasn't in a mood right now to do it, and she'd make sure that Iliad didn't, but it would get done. She finished off her cider before heading back into the bedroom to properly fix herself up. She closed the door, before undoing and redoing her dress so it sat right on her body. She clipped her belt around her middle, and the bracelets around her arms. After that, she looked around on the floor for her boots and pulled those on as well. She ran a hand through her tousled hair before placing the circlet back around her forehead. When she was done she fell back against the bed.

Part of her still couldn't believe that she had spent the night with him; alone in a bed together. It wasn't as bad as she thought it to be, and he was very warm. Maybe... maybe he'd stay with her again tonight. She bit her lip at the thought of asking him. What would he say? Curse these nightmares...

Sabine sighed and sat back up, grabbing a pillow and holding it close to her chest. She felt a smile coming to her face, and blush to her cheeks as she inhaled the almost intoxicating smell of Iliad. What was that cologne? God! She was such a girl! She tossed the pillow back down on the bed, and got started in making it. At least right now until she felt the energy to start on the dishes, she'd get some kind of work done. She folded the quilt which was half hanging off the bed, and fixed the sheets and comforter. After almost elegantly making the bed, she walked from the room only to hear the water stop from the bathroom.

"He's probably going to go off and do his own thing today..." She thought as she sat down on the couch, acting as natural as she could, and not as if she had just molested his pillow. "It's a good thing too. I have some errands to run... and someone to see before the day is over. I don't want to bother him if he does have things to do... and I don't think he would want to come with me."

Iliad was now one hundred percent awake, he was also dripping wet. With a shake of the head to clear some loose water, Iliad stepped out of the shower. He grabbed the towel and began to dry himself. The worst part of the process was his hair, he loved that it was long, but keeping it from becoming unsightly was annoying, as was drying it after it got wet. Once Iliad was dry he wrapped the towel around waist and exited the bathroom.
He saw Sabine sitting on the coutch and smiled, "You look comfortable, thats good, this is your house after all." Iliad said as he went into the room. To his surprise Sabine had made the bed, nicely too. Iliad's version of a made bed was one with the pillows near the headboard and the sheets not too wrinkled. He smiled and began to get dressed. After he was fully dressed he checked out the new belt and leg cape. It would hide his blades and bag of goodies perfectly, the more inconspicuous he was the better, the fact that he was wearing all black today helped with that as well. Before he left the room he went into his dresser and dug around until he pulled out his cologne, the same his father used. Iliad dabbed some around his neck and wrists and shook his head. God, I'm, if I have one sin it must be Vanity... or Lust... I'm not too good when it comes to Greed either, atleast I only have three out of seven... He chuckled slightly, not caring to count how many of the seven virtues he had. After tying up his hair with a black ribbon he exited the room.
Iliad took a quick look around the room and saw Sabine still sitting down. He sat down next to Sabine, putting one foot up on the small table infront of them. "So, do you have any plans for today or are we just going to wing it?" He asked. He didn't want to seem intrusive, but he really had nothing to do. If she didn't want Iliad with her today he could always go out hunting for the princess again, trying to see if he could make some loot off of her head, or maybe give that up all together and stick to robbing nobles, he had more luck with that anyway.

Sabine -o- Winters

(( Oh Man... I am having MAJOR writers block. Might look like a lot... but really it's horrible lol. Something DRASTIC and DRAMATIC needs to happen. Like another battle haha))

Sabine gave a smile to Iliad as he walked out of the bathroom, none the wiser that she had smelt up his pillow as he was showering. Perfect. She nodded and felt a small blush creep up her neck to her cheeks as she saw him just wearing a towel around his waist. So... he had the body to go with the self loving attitude. Hell, maybe she would too if she had one as well. She shook her head and smirked though before sitting back on the couch.

"Oh yes, extremely comfortable."

When he walked into his bedroom and closed the door, she let out the small breath she had been holding. Her heart was pumping in her chest again rather quickly. Damnit... now he was going to know something was up for sure. She attempted to calm herself down before Iliad walked out of the bedroom, making himself comfortable on the couch next to her. When he asked about what she had on the go, she nodded.

"There are a few things that... I need to do. You know... rebel underground stuff. After all... I'm still looking for the Knights who killed my father so I can kill them. After that... I was think about going to the edge of town by the farms. See the old house, or whats left of it, visit graves and everything. It's been four years today..."

She let the sentence trail off before shaking her head. She really didn't want to get emotional right now, when she figured it would happen later. She did however find herself leaning a little into Iliad, that delectable smell of cologne that had doused his pillow reaching her nose. She closed her eyes and sighed, her heart beating quickly again. God... that smell... was so good.

Iliad puckered his lips and hmmed, "Hmmm, so I'm guessing you don't want me to tag along with you, I mean all that sound a bit personal," He cocked his head to the side, trying to remember the exact date of his fathers hanging. He had no idea, infact the memory sometimes had snow, and others it was bright and sunny, the only constants were the actions and the words, the exact setting varried wildly. Iliad looked back at Sabine, she was... leaning into him. Iliad thought it was because she was sad, maybe looking for comfort. He smiled and tried to cheer her up. Iliad reached his hand out and lightly lifter her chin with two fingers, "Hey, cheer up you, don't get all sad so early." He smiled, "If you are starting to feel sad just remember this, I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere soon, alright?"
With that he stood up and re-cracked his joints. "Well, since you're going to have your special day to mope around, I guess I'll go and do what I do best." He walked over to his work table and strapped on his blades and bag of goodies. They were hidden perfectly by the cape, just like he thought they would be. He took a step towards the door and called out to Sabine, "Hey, the key is in my room ontop of the dresser, lock up when you're ready to go." Iliad took another step and turned back once more, "Really though, try not to get too down on yourself, and if you're feeling sad come to the Noble district, I'll make sure to keep an eye out for you." He opened the door and called back to Sabine over his shoulder, "See you soon beautiful." Iliad walked out and closed the door behind him.
Iliad looked around, it felt weird to be alone again, with out Sabine. Iliad tried to shake the thought as he climbed up to the roof tops, but it persisted, a deepening sense of lonelyness. God, since when was I so helpless? He asked himself as he made his way from the middle class district to the noble district. Iliad made it there in no time and looked around, trying to find his next target. Iliad couldn't do it though, instead he sat down and looked out at the sky. Its like I can't go on without Sabine. Her smile, her voice. Her voice is like a beautiful song, and song makes me soar high into the sky! He said, shooting his hand into the air when he thought the word sky. He chuckled and let his hand fall back to Earth. Way to be dramatic there Iliad. He thought, slightly embarassed and thankfull he didn't say what he thought outloud. Even on the rooftops he wouldn't risk someone hearing that the great player Iliad Alexander Bell couldn't get a girl off his mind. Iliad sighed and began to bounce his heel, though since he wasn't standing it was more of a weird fidget.

Sabine -o- Winters

Sabine felt her chin being lifted and her eyes opened to find Iliad's intent and warm ones looking down into hers. She smiled a little, happy to know that someone was there. Hell she wasn't sad... at least not yet, but it was nice to know that someone was thinking about her, and making her feel safe.

"Thanks..." She said before sighing and leaning back against the couch.

She felt the cushion next to her move and out of the corner of her eye she saw Iliad stand and crack his joints. He was leaving now then. She watched as he placed his blades under his cloak as well as a bag to put the things he was looting inside. She made a mental note about the key before he left.

"Be careful okay..." She called out to him after hearing him say he'd cheer her up if she felt sad.

And then... she was alone. The only sounds filling the room was that her her breathing and the grandfather clock ticking away the seconds. Sabine sat there on the couch, mulling over her thoughts, before shaking her head. All of her thoughts were about Iliad! God! He had only just left. When had she let herself get so... attached?

She grabbed her sword, and placed it on her back before standing, walking to the bedroom to grab the key. She needed to get out of the house... do something to keep her mind off of... Iliad. She felt a small smile coming to her face as his name came across her mind.

"You're hopeless... simply hopeless." She thought to herself as she locked up and headed in the opposite direction toward the edge of the city where the poorer people lived and the forest began.

Amoria grit her teeth. "You're an idiot. The fact that you're family is dead is their own fault and you're fault that you didn't protect them," she snapped at the guy. A small flag went off in her mind, forcing the female to calm herself down. "People like you should just go die."

Standing up, Ria closed her eyes and put herself into a extremely calm state. Everything started to slow down until time came to a stop. When she opened her eyes, everything had stopped. "I am not in the mood to die," she said ina flat voice before flipping on her hood and leaving. Time started back on track, and nothing was really left by the young mage.

Iliad stopped bouncing his heel and sighed. "Am I so pathetic I can't go on without a girl?" He stood up, slightly angry at the thought. "No." He said slashing the air with his hand. "I was Iliad before I knew her, I'll be Iliad after she leaves." Iliad picked out a house and set a course for it. "I can't deny I enjoy her company, it is a nice change of pace." He jumped from the edge of the building he was on and caught the window sil of a building quite some distance away. He began climbing up it, "She does not define me though, only I do, me." He made it to the roof and began to run again. "Not my name, not my father, not my mother, whoever the hell she is, and nothing else." Iliad made another unnecessary long jump and caught the railing of a balcony. He shot a look down as his body weight and forward momentum threatened to pry his hand off of the rail and smiled. He didn't feel lucky to make it, it was skill, he aimed for that railing in the first place. Iliad looked back up and pulled himself onto the balcony. "I might sound selfish, but hey, this is my story after all."
Iliad swung open the balcony door slowly and quietly, peeking through. No one was there, he could tell by the eerie stillness in the air. He walked in quietly and closed the door behind him. The soles of Iliad's boots were made from boiled leather, virtually silent, and perfect for this trade. Iliad crept through the house, picking off small things, and putting them into his pockets. He didn't bring a bag, he didn't plan on doing a full blown heist, so instead he stole what was small, and the most valuable things were usually the smallest anyway.
Iliad reached the end of the hall and found himself at the top of a grand staircase. He whistled at the sight of all the marble, Stumbled onto a gold mine huh, gonna have to make a return trip sooner or later. He took a few steps down and looked at the wall the stair case led up to. At the top was a large, marble plaque, depicting this family's coat of arms. It was a shield, and ontop of it stood a lion. Magestic, standing on its hind legs with its paws in the air and tounge out. Facing the opposite way was a falcoln, wings spread. Dividing the two was a sword down the middle of the shild. The rest of it was ostentatious decorations, mostly feathers and wings fanning out to the side. Below the plaque stood a rather large oil painting of a rather young woman holding a rather long hilt. Since the painting was only waist high Iliad could not make out how big the sword actually was, but judging by the hilt he wouldn't be surpised if there was some guy beneath the girl holding the sword for her whille it was being painted. Iliad then cocked his head to the side and smirked, Holy hell, thats the same girl at the restaurant yesterday, the one with all those swords. He shook his head, I guess she is holding the sword by herself then. Iliad was about to turn and continue his raid when he noticed the plaque underneath the painting. It was not as big as the one above it, but it was still quite large. It read: Zellana Garnet Bell, and was framed by the same frilly feathers and wings as the plaque above. Huh, Bell, you don't think... He smiled and shook it off.
Turning Iliad faced the painting and tried to find a resemblence. Same skin tone, he had seen her just yesterday so he knew the painting was recent. She also looked to be his age, had the same blonde hair, and the same half smile. Iliad shook his head and went back up stairs, There is no way, I'm the only child of a thief, and besides, Bell is a common last name. Iliad made his way into the bedroom. Iliad chuckled, the bed was barely made, just a sheet tossed over it to make it look neat, but he could tell by the mountains under the sheets that it was still unmade. He walked around, searching for a jewelry box. Soon enough he found it and began to rumage through.
He pocketed some of the jewels, diamond earings, a few rings. He left the garnets like he always did, a superstition his father gave to him. Just then Iliad remembered the girls name, Zellana Garnet Bell, could dad just have been not stealing them out of guilt? Iliad shook his head and continued to go through. He pulled out a ring that bore the family crest. He left it, not because he felt any connection, or so he hoped, but family heirlooms never sold well. Seeing nothing more of value Iliad closed the box, and put it back where he found it, eyeing the new ring he found, gold with a red ruby stone. He liked it because it had the name Bell engraved along the inside. Hey, her fingers are most likely too small for this ring anyway. Iliad thought as he stood to exit the room, mad at himself for justifying the robery of a ring.
On his way out he noticed something under the bed. He walked over and picked it up, it was a diary. Iliad felt wicked for even holding it but couldn't contain his curiosity. He opened it up to an early page and began to read. "Mother's health is getting worse, I think it is time I asked her my question, before I loose my chance." He flipped a few pages and read again. "I asked, she says my father was a thief, how weird, I always felt like he was some kind of war hero, died in combat, guess everything is not what you think, the great General Bell, had a baby out of wed lock with a crook, I wonder if I'll ever meet him." Iliad dropped the book and could feel his heel bouncing, for how long he didn't know. How can I deny that, same surname, she never knew her father, I never knew my mother... could she really be, but she looks just as old as me, maybe we're twins. Iliad felt his brain start to rattle, God, first Sabine, now oh crap, whats her name, Zellana, right. He stood up and put the book back where it was and left the room.
If there is a God I must have punched him square in the face in a past life. Iliad thought as he made his way to the balcony. He would deffinatly be revisiting this house, just not in the same way he had originally thought. Iliad opened the door to the balcony, closed it behind him and jumped to the next building, disappearing into a maze of roof tops and alley ways.

Zellana looked around, she had just finished her dinner and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Saddly she was also lost in the Theatre district. Taking a quick look around she saw something she had been looking for all day, a clothing shop. Perfect, I can order some clothes and call it a day. She thought happilly as she walked into the shop.
A small bell rang as she entered and a few heads turned, she felt like sinking under their stare. It was obvious that Zellana wasn't as girly as she should be, as if she was a boy playing out the role of a girl. Still, she had a right to do girly things like go clothes shoping, even if in the place of her purse stood 6 gleaming swords. She walked around and smiled, finding quite a few things she liked, a red and black dress, a pair of silk gloves, and more. She raised her hand into the air and called for a tailor. She spoke at the pale man came over, "Yes, I would like you to take my measurements and tailor this dress, those gloves, and a few other things, please follow." She began to walk around the store, pointing things out that she wanted, she might not have had many girly qualities, but she knew how to waste money well enough like one.
After she was done she stepped into a dressing room so the tailor could jot down her measurments. She pulled her leather loops off, the ones that held her swords, and hung it on a hook on the wall. It protested slightly but the copper hook would hold. Going to the back she held out her arms and let her mind drift as the tailor and his measuring tape spaned her body, jotting down numbers here and there. Looking around Zellana seen fabrics hanging about, it reminded her of nothing in particular but gave her a feeling of comfort. Knowing what something was made out of was a good thing. A quivering voice brought her back to reality. "Done ma'am." Zellana nodded and replied, "Thank you, I can't wait for it to get done today, but when you are ready please, deliver them to this adress." She wrote down her address on the mans pad and turned to leave. "Have a good day sir." Zell heard the man call out a similar pleasantry back to her. Putting the leather loops back on she left the shop.
Zell looked up at the sky, the sun was setting. With a sigh that turned into a yawn she decided it was time to go home. She walked up to a young woman and asked her directions out of the district and was soon put on a fast track back to her house. She made it there in no time, angering her to no end. I was walking around in circles for hours... She thought bitterly as she headed upstairs to her room. She put up her swords on the rack, not bothering to combine the swords. Zell pulled off her shirt, kicked off her boots and stepped out of her pants. She searched her dresser for a night gown but could find none. "Argh..." She moaned as she grabbed a big, loose shirt she had for just such an occasion. Slipping into her bed she quickly fell asleep.
Upon waking up Zellana went through her morning ritual. She threw her sheet over her bed, and rushed into her bath room. Zellana got dressed in her full Guard outfit. Her greaves and gauntlets, which were engraved with the Order of Light crest, over her regular black, leather pants and white shirt. After her uneventful day yesterday she had hoped she would find a nice battle today. Zell grabbed her swords and combined them into the one Strife, putting it at her back. Zellana left the house and headed to her Guard tower.
At the tower she was given instructions to patrol the edge of the city, where the farms and forest started rather than the usual buildings and houses. She accepted the orders and quickly made her way out to that part of town. Making it there she began her patrol. It was rather boring, just walking around, but maybe, if she was lucky, she would catch someone trying to sneak into the city, or maybe catch a criminal trying to sneak out. Hopefully she would find a rebel and be able to test her battle skills. All those seemed unlikely, but a girl could dream.

Sabine -o- Winters

The walk to the edge of town wasn't as long as she had predicted it would be, even after stopping in at the local tavern to try and find information on those knights. Nothing yet. Sabine had left the tavern feeling... well down. Not only had no new leads, or any sort of information come into light, but she was once again going back to the house that she had pushed so far back into her mind. The one house that she hardly expected to be going back to... but did every year. She walked along the now gravel roads heading to the farm houses, her feet crunching on the way. She had remembered walking like this all the time she was told to go into town. The soft sound of children laughing and playing in the fields brought a small smile to her face. She used to wish she had siblings or friends to play with when she was that young, but even the farmers were snooty.

As she rounded the corner and walked though the man made path to the fields she came across the ruins that used to be her house. Barely standing on the burnt supports it had, walls caved in, roof gone. It looked so much better in the older days, but that was when things were sort of good. She looked down as she neared it, two small plaques by the door frame. One for her mother and one for her father. The names were as clear as day, as were their faces in her mind.

Richard Winters... an honest man, with a short well groomed beard on his chin and white hair on his head, tied back with a black bow. For a poor man, he had always dressed his best, just in case something better came along.

"Never assume..." He had said to her once, his light blue eyes full of warmth as he winked. "You never know what could be knocking at your door, and if it's opportunity, then you want to look your best."

A smile came to her face, remembering all the times she'd sit there and help do up the clasp like cravat around his neck. She always had to stand on a stool to do it, since he was so tall.

And then... there was her mothers. Anne Winters. Sabine had only known her for a short period of her life... till she was nine, but she still remembered what she looked like as if she was standing there in front of her. She wasn't very tall, not much taller then Sabine was now. Her black hair hung down in ringlets around her shoulders, a blue bow on her head. She wore a dress that was suited for their lifestyle, but like her father, she always tried to look her best. Her grey eyes were always full of happiness, and her face even at her young age bore wrinkles from the amount of smiling.

As Sabine stood there looking down at the graves she felt tears sliding down her cheeks and landing in the dirt below. She fell to her knees, her hands curling into fists. How did it get to be this... how did she end up alone? Oh right... it was her fault that her parents were dead.

"I'm sorry Mother and Father..." She choked out, before wrapping her arms around her waist. "I... I took everything from you. If I had listened... and hadn't been so defiant... you'd still be here. God I miss you. So much."

She placed her forehead against the top of her legs, curling herself up into a ball, trying to hide herself away from everything. The shame and guilt of everything on her shoulders, bringing her down. It hurt... everything hurt. Her heart felt as if it was breaking all over agian. As she sat there in the dirt and dust, her mind flashed back to the days that they died. Her nightmares... the things that plagued her, but the things that kept her going.

"I'd... I'd give anything to have you both back... I don't know how I have the strength I do. I'll avenge you though... I will. I'll kill the bastards who kill you father. I promise..."

User Image "alright well lets find a place to go." Echo started to walk out into the street making sure though that Ira was right behind him. losing sight on her would not be good at this moment. i thought popped back into his head. oh ******** if those 2 people see me? that girl might be a problem... well actually with Ira around i should be just fine.

They continued walking down the street towards echo favorite eating place, the tavern. yea it was a bar, but it had a section that acted as a restaurant for hose that didnt want to drink. The people that worked there knew echo preety well and always helped out when he was down. though he wasnt sure if they would be so welcoming now.

as they made their way, echo made sure his armor mmade absolutely no noise. With every piece of armor locked down tight, they literally were to close together to make noise that normal armor did.

<..:::Ira:::..>

Ira followed beside Echo. She noticed they were heading towards a tavern. Her face remained neutral. As they walked a child ran into her and she looked down at it. The little girl had a fearful look on her face as she met Ira's gaze. Ira smiled and patted the child on the head then resumed walking with Echo. She heard the child giggle and skip down the road.

User Image echo looked back and looked at Ira. "everything alright?" he thought it wouldnt hurt to check up every now and then and also take a look at their surroundings.

after walking for a bit they came up to the tavern that echo always ate at. the bartender greeted Echo and Ira, giving echo the slight salute. he knew echo wasnt a guard anymore but echo was a great customer. echo walked over to a table and took off his helmet and arm pieces.

A waitress walked up with a smile on her face. "hello there Echo its nice to see you here again. what can i get for the two of you."

Echo smiled back "Thanks Leilia, I let you order first Ira im still deciding what to get"
