He searched but... the children had changed so much in so little time. he could no longer tell with certainty which were his. he slumped, exhausted, against his mate, regret in his eyes.

"I cannot..." he started to tell her that he couldn't find their other children. But... she wouldn't even remember them, why burden her with that pain? He glanced at Vesi and gave her a small sad smile. "Come rest with us, sweetie?"

Edric blinked, then winced. "Ah, I suppose we should go hunting then," he said. He wasn't letting Nector donor. It wasn't healthy for her to feed more then one.... and.... well... she was his.....
