"Ao-chan, would you like to try some of my bento?" Momoko felt bad about having some of her lunch and wanted to share as a way of paying her back.

"Sure, thank you!" Ao-sagi smiled broadly at Momo's kind offer. She knew that the younger maiko had a hard time in classes lately, and there was no better way of relaxing than sharing a meal with a friend. She wiggled her nose, making a funny, gluttonous face, inhaling deeply. "Smells gorgeous! What have you got there?"

Kyoku clapped her hands together as she walked to the front of the room, while carring a package smelling of food.
"Alright girls! Luch break is over, let us proceed."
Kyoku settled herself on the raised floor in front of the girls. She pulled out from the package at box. As she opened the box she pulled out three small plates. One had some grilled fish, the next had noodles with vegtables and the third was empty.
"Using my lunch, i will demonstrate the proper way to serve a meal for your patron should he order food. A maid will bring in the food on trays." Kyoku held up the dishes with food. "What you do is take it from the trays to the plate." She held up the empty plate. Then kyoku picked out some black laquered chopsticks from the box and started to effortlessly fillet the fish and then moved to the noodles, separating a portion, winding it into the chopsticks and moving it cleanly to the empty plate. Then she slid one chopstick under a pile of cut fish, using the other to hold it and moved it to ontop of the noodles.
"The goal is to make it neat and easy to eat, try hard to spill food anywhere."

Tora went to the corner of the room, at hearing the word, 'lunch break', to where the bags were. She pulled hers, a pink silk bag with pink cherry blossoms, from the neat pile and walked over to her spot and opened the bag. She pulled out a silk cloth and laid it in fron of her. She pulled out a rice ball wraped in a napkin, then a pickle, an assortment of nuts and a piece of chocolate. She began to eat quietly and quickly.

Makoto watched closely while cleaning up her own food. She tried to practice just a bit with her left over food.

Tora quickly put her food away and watched the demonstration with awe. She made mental notes on everything Kyoku-sama did.

Kikaru watched her older sisters demonstration. Be neat, be clean, be elegant. Her hands were folded in her lap, as she had already finished her lunch and had cleaned up.

Ao-sagi and Momoko rushed back into the classroom when they saw the sensei coming back and settled themselves at the table they had used in the exercise before. Oh no, why does it have to be fish! Ao-sagi thought as she saw Kyoku-sama filleting the roasted dish with grace and ease. I bet I get the portion full of bones that will have the patron choking on it... I just know it! She sighed almost inaudibly.

Iyasu hurried over to her seat and readied herself for the next lesson. With interest carved into her facial features, she watched her Onee-sama give the demonstration and made notes to help her remember them later.
