Personal Log: Aquinas
Artificial Intelligence UNSC Iron Sunrise [IS.ACTUAL]

I am quite bored now, in this suit of armor. Though I had always read that the [MJOLNIR] wasn't too much different than the systems of a ship, it is not true. I cannot do anything, except perhaps provide navigation points. At least in the [UNSC Iron Sunrise], I had millions of ways to stay occupied. But now I am already feeling useless.

Regardless, I must follow my orders, and provide the little bit of help that I can.

::: 1stSgt Freeman, York
::: UNSC Iron Sunrise
::: Unknown location; open fields and hills near the makeshift encampment

After eliminating the sprinting Jackal, Freeman, utilizing the high grass, went prone and crawled forward and slightly to the left, changing his position so that he would not easily be located and killed by one of the few surviving Jackals. The First Sergeant wasn't far from the Covenant sniper team; he was certainly within their range, seeing as they were armed with Covenant Carbines and Beam Rifles. He wasn't keen on the idea of sustaining more wounds, and the thought of death didn't appeal to him all that much, and so he moved to a location approximately 10 feet from his original spot.

Freeman heard and acknowledged the Corporal's words just as he reached his destination. "Copy, Brown. Suppressing the Kig-yar," Freeman answered via COM system.

Freeman pushed off the ground with his hands, one of which had his sniper rifle clutched tightly in it, and lined up his next shot while crouching in the grasses. Looking through the scope of his weapon, Freeman scanned the clearing. It seemed that the Kig-yar that remained had scattered and found some cover. He dropped down to the ground once again, aware that exposing himself for too long when snipers were present was one of the cardinal sins of combat. He waited for just a moment, then unveiled himself again and for a third time searched the clearing for targets. Perhaps there were no Jackals left. Perhaps they'd all been eliminated. Perhaps a few had been left alive, but had retreated upon realizing that they were outnumbered.

This theory was disproved very quickly. Freeman saw some movement in the bushes along the side of the clearing. He kept his crosshairs on the bushes for a few moments, then ducked back behind the cover of the tall grass. Lying on the ground, Freeman addressed his allies.

"It looks like some movement in the shrubs along the side of the clearing. I don't have a clear view. Anyone have a visual?" Freeman said into the radio.

Fire Team Echo
> UNSC Iron Sunrise: Crash Site
> ERR.UEG_1707.TIMESTAMP ANOMALY

Surprisingly enough, for the duration of the travel through the crashed Carrier, Fire Team Echo had not encountered many more covenant forces. In total, only Grunts and a handful of Elites were found, and easily eliminated. A small scouting force. Nothing more. But seeing as how the leader of said scouting force-- the very daring Elite who was now held captive by Caden-072-- it would be very likely that more Covenant would be on their way soon. But Team Echo was no longer in any sort of rush, for the hangar in which their ride out of the Sunrise was just ahead. Everything was going smoothly now, and hopefully it would continue on until the UNSC forces got off this strange structure.
"Pelican's all set to get us. Others are inbound to pick up equipment and supplies." Aquinas informed Caden-072 quietly. The AI monitored the group's status quietly, insuring there were no hidden injuries or any other sort of problems. All were in good condition though, save for Poole, Carlson, and the Elite. But she could care less about the last of the three. Because of that alien monster, the Commander might have been hurt further. And he was already in bad condition.

They finally reached Zulu-214, the Pelican had been patiently waiting for them the entire time. As everyone began to load up the passenger bay, Zulu watched, grinning like a child. But as soon as the Spartan entered, carrying the Elite, the smile faded.
"Oh no no no no. No way in hell you're bringing that thing in here."
"We're not leaving it behind, Zulu-214, it may hold vital information about this structure that we can use." Aquinas replied.
"Alright ma'am, but if that thing wakes up and starts attacking everybody, it better not get me."

A few moments later, the Pelican lifted off, and Fire Team Echo began their trip to group up with Team Gamma, and the others that had probably already joined them. Commander Poole hung limp in the seat he was carelessly strapped into by Kumar for the first few minutes of flight. But finally he stirred, groaned loudly, and looked around. Blinking heavily in an effort to get everything to focus, his gaze drifted over to the Spartan who awkwardly held the still unconscious Elite. Frowning slightly, he blinked more, until he finally realized what it was. "What the <********> is that thing doing here?!" He exclaimed suddenly, and loudly enough to make him fall into yet another coughing fit. This time, blood splattered onto the floor. "Commander, we're taking it with us to hopefully get some information from it."
"You couldn't run this by me?"
"You were unconscious, sir--"

The Pelican jerked upwards suddenly, and a yelp came from Zulu-214 in the cabin. The pilot turned his head to face his passengers slightly. "Sorry about that," he said with a little laugh. "I think I'm seeing things. One of you might wanna come up here and make sure."
