So she was right, her head turned swiftly to see the man that was behind the desk, that led her hear, explain what he was doing. She was stuck here, with James, while Landon, was with another girl. Her head hung low as James passed her to find another way out. This was her worst nightmare. She couldn't feel her legs, and the ground started to tilt at the oddest angle.
Her hand started to shake, and she quickly found a chair to sit herself down it, placing her head between her legs. The only thing that kept her from loosing it was that she would still be able to see Landon, and what he was doing with Steph. Even though Steph was her best friend and all, and she trusted her, and Landon, she just didn't like this situation.
The weekend of her dreams just became a nightmare. It was horrible. The T.V. turned on by it's self, and her eyes lifted to see what was on it, it was Landon! Her full attention went to the screen, and there was Stephanie, it seemed they weren't as thrilled to see each other as herself and James were. Maybe she was over reacting. "This isn't fair." Kaitlyn lifted her hand and touched the necklace that was still around her neck from last night gently. He couldn't just forget about her and leave just like that. This is good for Landon, he needed the resolve. The same resolve that took Kaitlyn a while, but finally she was over James. Even thought a lot of questions remain on why he left her. No explanation nothing. Seeing how he panicked so quickly, made her jealous of her friend. Landon wasn't freaking out cause she wasn't there. Nor was he trying to find her.

Move along, move along like I know you do.. James didn't go long before he slowed. But really! They couldn't do this! It totally had to be illegal! They were holding them against their will!
But the second he turned around to see Kaitlyn like that, his anger abated a bit. She obviously was no happier about the situation then him, just reacting differently to it. She seemed resigned, but not in a good way.
He went back over to her and sat down right next to her, pulling the other chair up closer and put his arm around her, "Are you ok?" he asked quietly. The way she had just been sitting, knees pulled up and head down...
But before he could say anything else the TV turned on, and what did he see? Looks like Stephanie and Landon had found each other. And immediately, he could recognize the signs.
Awkward, yes, very. He could see how Landon tried to avoid checking her out and was failing, and Stephanie blushing, and both stuttering on.
There was no way they had gotten over each other when they were like that.
Nah, they'd be more comfortable, like.... like him and Kaitlyn... Even if he had been thinking about her a lot more lately... ..And even when your hope is gone

Right right, of course she was here with James, Landon knew that. Just like he was here with Kaitlyn. But he was having trouble concentrating on that. You know, especially since he was pretty sure Stephanie was looking him over too. And he was shirtless, with only his trunks on at all... And her in just the bikini...
"Katy?" Landon looked around yet again. "Yeah uh, I don't know... She should be here by now... like, yeah..." had his voice almost matched hers?
He didn't get any further then that before the server guy was speaking up. Landon had completely forgotten about him.
He started to follow, then stopped in at leas some form of realization.
"Wait, what? Us? Our breakfast?" huh? It had looked like he was talking to the both of them! And when addressed in plural when no one else was there...
He looked back at Stephanie, then back to the gate again, passed, no sign of Kaitlyn. Or even James.
Nope, just Steph. And him. And, and... breakfast?
He was rooted to the spot, and not going over there until he got some explanation, because the way his brain was directing him was not what he wanted to believe.

The way James came over to her, and comforted her, was just how she remembered. She actually stopped thinking about Landon, and only thoughts of him filled her mind. He was always there for her, James really was a sweet guy. "Yes... I'm fine..." Not really, she felt like dying on the inside. Her head flashed towards the door when she heard it open, but a girl merely just came in, dropped off their things and left, locking it behind her.
How rude. Slowly she turned her head to look back at James, not it was awkward for her, how close they were. Her eyes looking into this. "I'm... Umm... Going to swim for a while, since I"m already dressed. That is, if this place has a pool." She shrugged out of his arms and started to walk around. Why wasn't Landon more freaked out that she wasn't there? It really hurt her feelings. By the way he was acting, did Landon think he was nailing Steph last night, or herself? That just tore her heart. She didn't even wait to take off her shall, before diving into the pool. She wanted to drown the whole world out.

"What?" She turned on her heels to look at the server guy. Her eyes didn't cling to him this time. No, because Landon was here and he was much hotter.
Sure, this unnamed guy was hot, built and extremely sexy. But Landon held her heart and she felt it pull towards him now too.
"Our breakfast? As in, me and this kid? She motioned back and forth between her and Landon.
"No. See, this is Landon. He's Katy's boytoy not mine." Not anymore. "James is supposed to meet me here for breakfast. I think you're confused."

But it didn't mean anything would happen between them. Just that it might... right?
Damn.
James glanced back when he heard a noise and jumped up as the door opened. The stuff was practically thrown in and the girl he'd only gotten a brief glimpse of was out and slamming it in his face again, and locked.
He sighed in defeat and walked back to the chair. It looked like he hadn't missed much...
And he'd only been sitting down for a moment when Kaitlyn said she was going to swim... was there a pool in here?
Well, James stayed to watch a little while longer, and heard a splash not so far off. Guess so.
He didn't stay for long though, after hearing Stephanie's reaction. He was fairly sure nothing would happen between them. Yet. Damn him for even thinking about it.
Regardless.... he wanted to be out there with Stephanie right now, not stupid Landon- but right now, going to swim with Kaitlyn sounded pretty good too.
He followed just a minute or two after her and pulled the shirt form over his head, diving in just as he tossed it behind him, all at once.
James touched the bottom with his hands before flipping around and coming back up.
It felt good. ..And even when your hope is gone

As soon as her body hit the water, she dove straight to the bottom. Curling into a ball, she sat there. She had enough air, it wasn't like she was trying to drown herself. She just wanted to hear the numbness of the water. Then another splash, opening her eyes, she saw a figure treading water above her. She kicked off the bottom and tickled the bottom of his foot before swimming towards the edge of the pool.
Kaitlyn didn't know why she did that, just that she did. Folding her arms on the edge of the pool, she laid her head against it. This was going to be horrible. Not that James wasn't a good guy, but there was still a lot of questions about him that she didn't know. And a long time ago she accepted she will never know and moved on. But with him here, now, alone, it was hard not to think about it again.
But he was so... So... Desperate to get to Steph. While Landon didn't seem to care where she was. Why couldn't she be more like her friend, it seemed she had multiple guys coming after her, and Kaitlyn can even hold one guy. How horrible.
Tears came down her face, but she submerged her head to hide her tears before coming back up. Treading water with her feet, she took off her shall that she didn't even take off before diving. But she kept the necklace on. She wanted to keep it, give hope at a time like this. But that hope was dying quickly. She came back up, and tossed her shall over the side of the pool, then went to as she was before.

Davie looked at the two, oh no, he wasn't mistaken. "I'm not confused miss Stephanie." They haven't grasped it yet. Oh well.
He turned and got two bracelets. "These will allow you special treatment where ever you are in the resort, we ask that you don't take them off. " Placing them on the table, he smiled and pulled out the seats so they could at least sit while they eat, if they get that far.
"I will be back when your breakfast is finished." With a gracious smile he left them there. He thought maybe by the time he came back there would be more questions for him, but then again, he never knew. It seemed the male was in a state of shock, or something. While the girl seemed, scared. That was just his interpretations at least, didn't mean they were right or wrong.

Landon watched the guy suspiciously as Stephanie started to speak to him.
Ok, so he agreed with her completely! But... yeah, there was a but...
He wasn't even entirely sure what it was, just the way she said it...
But whatever!
Landon was still rooted to the spot as he glanced at Stephanie, then back at the guy when he answered. Say what? So like, they were supposed to?
But that made no sense!
And he never gave them any explanations. And once Landon realized they were just leaving he followed after, "Hey hey, no, wait a minute? Where is Katy? If she's not coming here then where is she??"
no. No. Him completely alone with Steph? Just no... Even outside...
Ok so it shouldn't matter, but them basically alone had been awkward enough! And, and he just didn't think it was a good idea. And what IF Katy was still coming? He couldn't just be eating breakfast with his ex on his and his girlfriend's weekend getaway while he is supposed to be waiting for her.
This sounded like a set up. Not cool. And he really didn't think Stephanie and him needed to spend alone time together. It just... too many memories... too many feelings... too many questions... No.

Uh. Well, hadn't been... years ago. Actually, when she thought about it, lately her buttons were much easily pressed.

"No!" But the server was gone. "What the ******** is this? She groaned.
"Did you do this? Did James? Katy? Just what the hell?" She was so confused. She plopped down in the chair and shivered as a chill ran up her spine.

David was stopped by Landon, whom in which was a total surprise, then Stephine started to go off. "Please calm down. Everything will be alright. Just please enjoy your breakfast, someone else will be alone and explain everything. I don't have enough knowledge to fully satisfy your questions. I will go to the front desk right now and send someone over right away."
And with that he was really off, heading towards Andrew, of course, since he was the brains behind it all. How the hell did he find this s**t out about people he will never know fully, but did he use his crazy techniques on himself? That's what really scared him.
Walking into the doors, and heading towards the front desk, he couldn't help but ask. "In like ten minutes go out there and explain to them what's going on. I can't handle them. I would rather take the other two, if you don't mind. Besides, her hot factor went down three steps if you know what I mean." He didn't like bossy girls, or crazy ones at that.

Move along, move along like I know you do.. Once James had broken the surface again, he swept his hair back out of his eyes and looked around, not seeing Katy. Was she still at the bottom? But before he could even look, he jerked, feeling something tickling his foot.
Ah! It was her!
James cracked a smile, but it didn't last for long when he could see she was still in a pretty bad mood.
He was going to try not to worry about it right now. They were stuck here, nothing was going to happen yet, hopefully at all.... might as well have some fun.
So when she came up again, and after getting rid of the shawl, he grabbed her around the waist and pushed off from the edge of the pool with his feet, shooting them both back- and giving her enough time to plug her nose or breath out against the water, before spinning them both under and coming up a moment later with a laugh, sputtering water. ..And even when your hope is gone

Well that was no explanation at all! Something was definitely going on here.
But it seemed there was little else to do when the guy left, saying things WOULD be explained... and Landon was really hungry...
He sighed and went back to the table, sitting across from Stephanie. He looked up at her then down at the food, then up again.
"No, I think they did this. Did James go to the front desk for like, a gift or something too?" cause if so.. it would explain why he wasn't here either... and probably mean....
He sighed, again and and stuck his fork into a poached egg, his favorite way to cook an egg... odd...
Whatever, he ate it, already salted apparently. Not sure what to say, while there were many, many things he would like to say, or ask...
But then he should probably say something.
"Been awhile since I've seen you without James or Katy around..." he muttered then winced. Yeeaaah, ok silence might have been better. Waaay stupid thing to say. Yeah, last time he was alone with her, they were still together. Since she wouldn't see him, at all, after she dumped him.**************************************** As soon as forever is through

"James!" She gasped as arms came around her waist and she was suddenly being pushed away from the wall. She was going to yell at him, but she knew his intentions and took in a deep breath to match. She stayed under and tickled his foot again, before grabbing a hold of his ankle and pulling him under the water. She started to swim back to the surface for air, using his head as a step to get her there quicker.
Kaitlyn's head broke the surface, and yea, her mood was a little brighter. Air came in through her mouth, not enough air went into her lungs when he pushed her down, but that's alright. It was all harmless playing. Awkward as it was, still harmless.
She swam away from the spot she was, in case he came up for another attack, maybe now would be a good time to get out and eat something. See the list the server mentioned earlier but she didn't want to go no where near that t.v. Upset as she was, that would make it worse. Was landon just using her to get Steph jealous? That was the main question in her mind, was it all a lie?
