Katie's instincts were more in tune as she licked her lips.. Forgetting herself she said, "I think I see a tasty bird.." She had not quite seen exactly out the window due to the blizzard but she had noticed wings..

"Well what do you know. It's back", Emily stated. Emily griped her sheath knive's handle and grabed one of the throwing knives in her pocket, thankful Katie hadn't noticed them yet.

finding the catch on the bottom of the window, kiana pulled the window open, almost falling off before spreading her wings for balance. pulling the window the rest of the way open, she flew up about twenty feet then dived into the window opening. she stood up and dusted herself offthen turned to look at the two girls in the room. "sorry to burst in on you like that, but my wings will only keep me warm for so long in a blizzard like this one. i was starting to feel a little too stiff if you catch my drift"

((We are in the basement..lol.. so you could say that kiana flew up and then fell down and curved in through the window of the basement.. n.n;; ))
Katie's jaw dropped, then instincts first came in as she licked her lips--a giant tastey treat. She then regaining her concious self, closed the windows.

Emily was still very perterbed about the last time she encountered the bird, so her response to the intrusion was quite hostile. "Fly away birdie, before I swat you out of the sky", she said quietly and evenly. As she said those words she pulled out her sheath knife while at the same time pulled out a throwing knife out of her pocket. Her bright green eyes flashed with silent rage. This time, the bird wouldn't get the better of her.

Michal sat up and looked over to her "calm down doll, If not for me you would have froze to death out there, he said picking up her dagger and spinning it in his fingers. "What you need to be thinking about is why your working for the military, who wants halfbreeds gone or test subjects," he said now standing up and tossing some wood into the fire pit which was full of coals now. "truth is i dont want to hurt you, but i may not have a choice, depending on whos group your in, because unlike you i went Awol when i found out the truth," he said. then he tossed her dagger to you, "I'm sure you heard of me from Terry" michal said pulling on his coat and putting his helmet in his back pack, then looked at her, " I'm Michal J. Caboose". he turn and started walking towards the door,"stay warm kay" he said in a kind voice.

((ya we'll go with that idea, i guess i got the wrong impression from previous posts. oops))
Kiana looked at the girl who had drawn a knife with no concern, in fact, she looked rather unimpressed. She calmly drew the longsword belted at her waist and one of her longer boot knves in one quick, fluid motion, like the expert she was. 'you know, i was trying to help. you were freezing, and i knew i could keep you warm for at least a little bit. and besides i'm only half bird. peregrine falcon to be precise."

Jacqueline grabbed her dagger as the man turned for the door.
A life serving the government was the only life she knew. They had raised her from a child and made her what she was today- what was wrong with who she was?
“There’s nothing wrong with what the government has made me,” she hissed, her back turned towards the man. “And Terry hasn’t mentioned you,” she added. “I only met him at the beginning of this mission, and we’ve never exchanged words that weren’t wholly professional.”
Jacqueline eyed the fire, its flames licking at the wood and crackling as she felt the heat that radiated from it. Her hands were balled into fists and she gripped her dagger tightly.
She turned her head too look at Michal. “Thank you for helping me,” Jacqueline turned her attention back to the fire, “But if it’s a government order, I won’t hesitate to kill you.”

" well then talk to him about me, unless you'd like me to stay and chat with you a while." michal said turning to face her, " the truth is that i was rasied by the military after they killed my father and now there hunting my sister." then Michal cringed a bit as a knife wound on his torso, " the truth is regardless of who you are, I'd still like to be your friend" He said before turning and leaving.

Taking her arm out of the sling to grab her throwing knife was a serious mistake. So, instead, Emily slipped the throwing knife back in her pocket and put her arm back in its sling. Emily made sure she was in a position to fight with her other knife if needed. " I'm not so sure I buy that excuse. Try again.", she said.

Out of all the times to be hungry, in the awkward silence, Katie's stomache growled rather loudly. She blushed a little, "Eh.. How about we discuss everything after food..?" She said turning to Emily and the bird girl--who was making her mouth water at the thought of birds...

Emily thought for a moment. She coulden't fight as well with an injured arm, so she put the knife back in its sheath. "Fine", she said. " Doesn't mean I have to be nice to the bird brain though". Emily thought when she got the chance, she would dispose of the bird so it wouldn't pull a fast one. She also hoped that later, she woulden't have to do the same thing to Katie either.

The half-breed was walking down the street when his slightly-pointed ears picked up the sound of breaking glass nearby. Slipping into an alley, he moved without a sound towards the source of the noise, arriving in a relatively spread-out residential area. There was glass on the lawn he'd stepped into, and a broken window pane leading o the basement. Sunlight still glinted off of the unstained glass around the edges, so it was probably here that the sound had issued from. He walked forward, his naturally inconspicuous nature and stealth abilities allowing him to get right up to the window before he was noticeable. He grasped the edge of the window pane and lowered himself down into the basement, his fingernails extending slightly as he saw the half-bird in front of him. He was good at suppressing his instincts, but none of his kind were perfect. "Did I drop in on something important?"

Emily, now quite shocked that the house was being filled to the brim with half-breeds, was now getting very mad. " You know, I'm getting very tired at people breaking down windows and drawing attention to themselves. CAN'T YOU JUST KNOCK ON THE FREAKIN DOOR!!!!", she yelled. "I'm trying to hide from the government agents at the mall that I saw and guess what happens. Two buffoons decide to break into the house I hide in to get out of a storm, without realizing they could endanger everyone inside the house!!!". Emily then stormed out of the room, leaving a terrible mood in her wake.
