"No you didn't, I wasn't watching where I was going." Varnis looked at Halo's eyes for a moment. He saw that there was something wrong with them, but couldn't tell he was blind. He never did run into another blind person before anyways. "There is a tavern right over there." He pointed into the direction of an unnamed tavern that was hastily built for the villagers. "In the new section of the city."

"Do you mind helping me walk there? I can't quite tell where you are pointing. I can't tell one part of the city from the others, it's all the same to me."

"I wouldn't mind if I didn't have to meet some one shortly before the battle starts." Varnis replied as he turned back and looked at the bell tower once more. The figure was standing at the edge of the tower looking down upon them, waiting. "If you turn..." Varnis held onto Halo's shoulder and turned him so he was facing the building. "And walk straight forward, you will walk into the building (Walk through the front door, not into the wall or something.)."

Mia was flying above, when she saw Varnis and Azeal stop. Mia then landed next to them and folded in her wings, so not get in anyone's way, and looked at the strange man that had stopped them. She then thought to her self, "I wonder who this man is, they don't look like they are from around here." She then noticed that he was blind, "that's weird, I wonder how he can get around so easily." Mia stood there staring at the man, and listening to their conversation. There was just something about him that made her distrustful towards the man. After a while she turned to Varnis. "Hey Varnis we are in a hurry, are we not? Tell one of Alcorve men to help him to the tavern, we need to go."

Halo began to walk towards the tavern slowly. Trying to make sure he didn't run into anything, or anyone and knock him off course. But he heard someone mention Varnis. Halo yelled out "Varnis" hoping he would respond, to let Halo know where he was positioned.

Waiting until Halo was walking towards the tavern, Varnis started to walk towards the bell tower when he heard his name being called out. Looking behind him, Halo was headed in the same direction. "Just keep going straight, you will get there in a few more steps. And good luck with finding your friends." He turned back, and after a moment of thought "After this is over, Maybe we can help you find them?" He started to run off towards the bell tower, hoping to get there, and be gone before the battle did start following Mia's advice.

Halo heard the voice of the man who had ran into him, after he had called out his name. The person who had helped him, was one of his targets. Destiny was surely against him, this is why God must be taken down, to destroy destiny. There was only a couple options, the man was standing there watching him to make sure he entered the Tavern safely, and just coincidently spoke up after he spoke. Or, that man was actually Varnis, and thought that he was speaking to him. Except, if that was the case then didn't he notice that never said his name.

"I'll just stay here, hopefully either they will show up here. Or you come back." Halo shouted when he entered the Tavern and turned around hoping that Varnis, or who ever he was heard him.

"Odd. The darkness should have sent us to the village. Perhaps it brought us here so that we would meet our companions here?" Erik knew that the Darkness had a mind of its own, and wanted to help people, not ruin them.

"We should be back after the fight... Can't take too long." He replied to the very faint sound of Halo's voice as he got closer to the tower.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~((Skip boring stuff))~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Standing at the top of the tower, the robbed man stood at the window, looking out. "So... you brought two friends with you..." He turned and looked at the three. His face still hidden by the hood. "Maybe they will believe me, if you don't."
Varnis stepped closer to him. "And why should I, I have no reason to. I never saw you before."
"And yet, you are here." Varnis shut up at the comment. "You may not remember seeing me before, but thats because you where just a new born when they took you away. You have the blood of a Fire Lord running through your veins."
"Then why can I not control fire, only Air magic?"
"Because... They never showed you how... Let me tell you a story." He looked at the three for a moment before starting. "You where taken from me when you where two years old, before you where able to learn how to control your magic. The air nation had their assassin kidnap you, and kill your mother. They knew you had great potential the day you where born, but always hid it from you forcing you to learn how to control the air to your whim. Because of this, you lost your control over your fire magic. By the time you where five, they sent you to the puny little village, to live with Markis as your father. Each year you where sent through four trials, you remember them don't you? Trial of Fire, Water, Air, and Earth." Varnis didn't respond. "No? Of course you don't... He wiped your memory of them." He pulled out a marble sized orb, that started to grow to the size of a softball. "You may want to hold him for this..."
Mia stood and watched as Varnis talked to the robbed man. She had no idea to what was going on, but she didn't like it. She didn't know much about Varnis, and Mia was amazed at what the robbed man was saying."Could all this be true? If it is, I can't imagine what he is going though." She kept quite, she didn't know what to say. Mia just stood there, listening to their conversation.
Sara shook her head. "Wherever we are and for whatever the purpose, I know not where we are." She said before scanning the nearby area. "Maybe we should find somewhere to rest, or atleast take shelter for the night?" She asked still a bit confused about their travel through the inky blackness.
---------
Azael had her sword nearly half out of it's sheathe when the man had revealed. She wasn't sure what to think, she had just met the two and one turned out to be a Fire Lord's son. A group that had been nothing but the epitome of everything wrong in the world in her view. But she was a good judge of character and she didn't think Varnis, despite having just met him, is necissarily evil. Still it was better with her on guard. She left the bade half out of it's sheathe and darkened it's shine.
He had noticed that Azeal had her sword half drawn and sighed. Raising his hands, to show he had no weapons, he looked at them. "I have no weapons, so no need to be so on edge. You have my word, I will not harm any of you, unless you strike first." He waited for a second before lowering his hands. "Now... Please hold onto him so he does not get hurt, you will even see the truth as well." Looking at them, he placed his other hand on top of the orb, and waited for them.
Varnis was silent as this was going on.
"You are correct. We may find Varnis, and the others as well." Erik set off towards the city.
Sara nodded. "I assume you know where we are, if not where you wanted to go?" She asked softly before following Erik's footstep's down. As they made their way down and into the city faces stood out in odd places, lines before governmental buildings. She thought she vaguely remembered a couple of the faces but since they were in a city and definetly not at the village she decided she was looking for faces she wished she could see. She shook her head and waited patiently for one such line to move out of the street.
--------
Azael sheathed the blade and moved her hand from the hilt. She didn't trust the man but it didn't matter at the moment he held all the cards. She leveled her cool gaze at the man before staring at the orb. Something was happening she could feel it, she just wasn't sure what.
((You two aren't taking the hint... Oh well...
Take a look at the front page. More information is being added.))
"You two won't hold him then? Fine..." With a wave of his hand, rings of fire appeared and shot towards Varnis, pinning him to the wall. There was no smell of flesh burning, suggesting that he wasn't being burned, but just being restricted. Placing his hand back on top of the orb, it started to glow. It became brighter, until it was blinding, but everyone that was there had an urge to look into the orb as it glowed. Slowly, figures started to appear, and voices can be heard.
A woman with tears of joy held a baby in her arms as a man, that wore the same robes as the one that they where talking to now, stood besides her smiling. "My son..." She said as a tear rolled down her face as she smiled. "Lets name him Varnis." The man said as the mother cradled him in her arms. "That sounds like a wonderful name, Ryion." She looked up at him, they both where smiling.
Five days had passed, nothing of note happened during these days until night. Glass shattered from a few rooms down, and crying could be heard. The mother woke with a start, and woke Ryion before running down the hall to where Varnis lay, sleeping. A women, wearing blue and white robes; almost as if they where like the sky and clouds itself, stood there over his crib, watching him. "They will be pleased with him... I can feel his energy, so strong at such a young age." The door swung open as a dagger flew between the cracks hitting the mother in the chest. "No!" A mans voice came down from the hall as foot steps became faster, and louder before the door was shattered and Ryion stood in the door way as the woman picked up Varnis. "Ahlara..." He shot out a fire ball at the woman, which seemed to vanis before his eyes as a great gust of wind blew through out the room. The man fell to his knees with tears in his eyes as he held onto the woman crying.
"What now?" The woman was standing in a great castle that rose above the clouds on top of a giant mountain. There where three people sitting in chairs in front of her, as if it was a throne room. "We keep him here for a few years, teach him our magic, and only out magic until the time is right." The person sitting in the center chair spoke. There was no way of telling if it was a man or a woman. "Very well, I shall teach him." She said with a bow, and started to walk out of the room. "Wait." The one in the middle spoke up once more. "Send him to Markis once he forgets about the fire magic, do not let Markis know of his origin though."
A few years had passed by. There where a few days of Ahlara showing him how to use Air magic, and defend himself. Her teaching him, and forcing him to forget the fire magic. At the end of five years, Varnis only knew how to use Air magic. Waiting for night to come, she teleported to a small village that was hidden the the forest. "Markis!" She whispered harshly as she was by a window in one of the huts. A small grown came from inside. "If its not important, leave me be..." A mans voice trailed off. Sighing, she teleported inside of the hut, and woke the man. "I said-!" He looked at Ahlara, then was quiet for a moment. "We need you to take him. Teach him only Air magic, and give him this test. "She pulled out a few materials, and a paper with instructions on it. "He will not remember the tests." She had Varnis walked up to Markis. "But whe-" He didn't get to finish before she vanished. Sighing, he gave varnis one of the extra rooms, made sure he was comfortable, then went back to bed.
More years had past, each one showed Varnis sitting in the middle of a room. All four walls had a symbol of each element on the wall. Fire to the north, Water to the south. Wind to the east, Earth to the West. Each one slowly started to glow as energy seemed to be drained out of him, and flowed into the symbols except for the wind. The other three glowed brightly before they faded disbursing their energy into the world as Varnis fainted in the middle of the room, and waking up each day in another room.
It seemed years had passed for the four that where in the tower, but it was only a minutes or two. Varnis convulsed as this was going on. Once finished, he stopped and was released by the restraints. Falling to his hands and knees, he had tears on his face. "I... I remember now..." Varnis felt weak. "My life... Its been a lie all this time... Markis has lied to me about everything. And you are my real father..." Tears streamed down his face. He know knew the truth, and could tell it wasn't made up to try and make him think that this was. It really IS the truth, he could feel it. So could everyone else who watched.
"Markis didn't lie to you, the Air nation did." He looked at Mia who was from the city that Varnis was in during the five years. "You are my son, and you can end this war, but I need your help first. I may be the fire lord, but I did not order the fire nation to attack. My second at command did, I trusted him with the military, and it was a mistake. I am trapped in the dungeon in my city. He rebelled, and wants to destroy all others, thinking that he is superior to others. I am here because of the pendent you now wear around your neck." He looked about worriedly. "You must master the other elements to defeat him, he is powerful. with your friends, and mastering all of the elements, you can defeat him, and bring this war to an end!" Voices could be heard coming from the orb once more, but this time they seemed to be echoing off of stone walls. "I must go, I will contact you at a later date." He vanished as the orb dropped to the ground, and started to slowly roll towards the window. If it where to fall, it would shatter on the ground below.
