"When Adin and I were younger, we named this very river," she said, her voice soft. She looked away to the otherside of it, then to her hands in the water bfore speaking again, "We named it Adilyn," as she smiled, tears started to form in her eyes.

Daliah smiled. " That's pretty.. but why Adilyn? " she looked into the water again.

"Because it's my name and Adin's put together. Well, my original name, I mean," she said. Her hands still played in the water. "You know, even though I'm the runt of the litter Dally, I've been through so much. And you'd think that being our elder brother, Lythias would have been our protecter, instead of our torturer, him and father...," her voice had a bit of anger in it. "Just, why me? You know? How were things, before I was born? Were they different Dally? Where they lovable, respectable men? Or still the bastards we know, and barely loved?!"
Jade had no idea where this sudden burst of anger came from, but, it was just there. Since Dally was second oldest, she'd know the way of the family a lot better than Anna or Jade would. Jade kept her hands and eyes to the water, she didn't want Dahlia to see just how angry she really was.

She could see the anger from her reflection in the water and from her tone in her voice. Daliah showed no expression on her face. She had remembered when she was younger.. " When me and Lythias were younger.. he use to be so nice. We would always joke around and do fun things.. but father " she shook her head. " He didn't have much love in him.. Ever since we disappeared i think that's why Lythias and Father were so bad to you.. " Dally shook her head then shrugged. =/

Her anger grew more intense after she took in what Dahlia was saying to her. She stood up, her fists were balled as she raised her voice, "Disappeared?! Dahlia, they-" she stopped, she decided against finishing her sentence. "I don't remember them ever being nice..." she whispered in reply, changing the topic of her sentence completely.
"She thinks they disappeared?" she thought to herself. "No, I saw it, I saw him kill them...they made me..."
She looked back to Dahlia, her eyes now filled with sorrow. "They always acted like I was the black sheep or something. Only you guys and Adin truly loved me. And strangely, that was enough for me, that was all I needed..." her voice trailed off as she sat down, and just stared at the river.

Daliah read her mind.. she looked up at Jade showing no expression. She stood up. " I'm gonna go back.. " she turned her back from jade and started back home quietly

Jade watched her walk away. She got angry and hit the water really hard, it splashed back at her. She moved back from the river a few inches, and sat with her head in her knees and began to cry.

Dally's eyes had sadness in them as she walked back home quietly, not because she had found out that she was killed, but of what her father and Lythias had done to her.. she wished it was her, instead of her sister.
As daliah came back in the house, Adin woke. She looked up at him, with no expression, then went back to her room. Adin wondered what had happened. He looked around for Jade but couldn't find her. He went to get up but had forgotten about his leg, he flinched and fell back onto his bed.. He still ached all over. He tried again and ignored the pain, limping on his leg he walked outside and soon found Jade, who was crying.

She sensed him quickly and grew alarmed. "Adin what are you doing?!" She ran to his side to help hold him up as he stood. "You're not in any condition to be out here like this!"

Adin rolled his eyes. " Jade.. i'm fine, why were you crying? " he said softly as he leaned against a tree near the river.

"I don't think...I don't think the girls know that they died. They probably don't remember, or, aren't suppose to...I just, kinda told Dahlia, and now I think she's mad at me," she started to cry again as she laid next to him by the tree near the river.

Adin paused for a moment.. " Oh.. Jade, i'm sorry. I'm sure they would understand, or atleast Dahlia would understand. It wasn't your fault.. " he hugged her still ignoring the pain. " Everything will be alright "

She didn't say anything more after he hugged her. She was a bit distracted by her thoughts and memories.

The one in all, Severly damaged Adin, got up carefully from Jade's side and went near the river. It was flowing slowly and the water was cool, there was a mist above him in the air. He knelt down and put his hand in the water. " Adilyn " he whispered and smiled slightly.

Jade was still upset, and just laid there in the grass, watching him the whole time, praying that he didn't collapse and fall into the river and drown. She decided it would be for the best if she sat close enough to him. She got up and sat not too far behind him; giving him his space, and some security.
