Else was pulling her cart down a broken path in the forest. after being completely ignored by lord Dagon she was upset to go home empty handed. she would have to explain to the professor why she doesnt have his large sum of money. her hood was down and her velvet ears hung by past her shoulders. she looked tired and worn from pulling the massive cargo.

Anabel removed a small glass dish of a fruity paste that had as many colors as her kitchen walls. "This is a fruity paste that is usually eaten with this. it's very good and one of my favorite traditional dishes..." she placed the paste down and placed some bread on a plate next to it. "Enjoy!" she said as she snagged a piece of bread dug into the paste.

Sensing a trespasser in his territory, Vaine dashed across the forest, not stirring a single leaf, and paused behind a tree near her. He listened briefly to her mumbling about her hardships, and placed a foot out to stop her cart, "Well, well,well... What have we here?" he asked while stepping out and placing one of his hands on the cart, his ruby ring flashing in the sunlight peeking through the forest tree tops.

the small hairs on Else's neck rose, i knew i should have had an escort she thought to herself. in one motion she pulled out her dagger and turned to face the robber. "step away from my cart." she told him with a fierce pinch in her voice.

He chuckled and stepped out in front of the cart, "Ha! How cute... You honestly think that will do anything to me?" he cooed, amused by her meaningless efforts to scare him off, "You're the one in my woods... technically I should own this cart you've wheeled onto my property."

Else slowly put her dagger away," then may you please let me through?" she asked, her tone now completely different and her face looked gentle. "I have important cargo" sounding insistent to leave

"It's like staring into a rainbow..." Vermillion took a piece and did the same tasting a small piece of both first, after the explosion of fruity flavors in his mouth he took a bigger bite. "mmm, its delicious, like having a bowl full of fruit in a single bite, a rich a lively story, and was there a special occasion for such a dish to be served? Like a holiday or season change, because this seems so extra special to be an everyday food. Then again I don't know a whole lot about fairies either, and do forgive me if I sound silly at any time just now."

"What kind of precious cargo? It seems to be burdening you." he looked around the cart, allowing his curiosity get the best of him.

Anabel giggled, "It's usually used during our spring festival, when we celebrating the passing of winter. Also it's at weddings, and sometimes used in the fall months too..." she took another slice and dipped it, "There is more traditional human foods, like turkey sandwiches, and a small salad, If you're still hungry after this." she offered as she finished up her second slice and took the tray with many small triangular turkey sandwiches.

Else jumped to the cart and she pulled the tarp tightly over it. "no peeking! if you want it you buy it!" she shouted and scolded him with her finger.

He stepped back and gave her a suspicious look. the old rusty gears in his ancient mind began turning, and he realized one thing... he could never turn down a surprise, "Alright..." he sighed while placing his hands on his hips and staring at the tarp as though if he glared at it harshly enough the tarp would melt, "How much are you asking for this mysterious object that your traipsing through my land?"

"you couldnt afford such a thing." she scoffed, then the thought crossed her mind if she could sell it to him, then she could go home with the money and say she sold i to dagon. Else looked back at the man with a smirk "fifteen million"

He stared at her with a look of curiosity, "you expect me to believe that an item worth fifteen million would be so carelessly transported by such a pathetically weak morsel such as yourself..." he looked at the tarp in disgust and snorted, "four million."

Else laughed, more at herself than anything "your right, my master is a genius but has no common sense." she shook her head at the thought of him, and her droopy ears swayed on her back. "i can assure you its worth that much, you can have it for ten million but i cant go any lower," she said to him in a bored tone

He smirked revealing his long pointed fangs, "Alright... I can see you're in more of a pinch than I... And I happen to have the money to throw around. Ten million and a guaranteed safe trip home." the vampire stepped forward and offered his right hand to her, "Deal?"

Else looked relieved now her master wont torture her for months because she screwed up. "thankyou, but if you could just write me a check, and take this damn cart off my back that would be enough." afterall she did live quite a ways away
