Cat smirked and arched her eyebrow. "Are you sure Ghost Rider would approve of you taking time off in the middle of this kind of a crisis?" She leaned forward very slightly. "And for girls, no less. Tsk, tsk."

Cat's smile faded a bit, and she filled the silence by finishing up her crust. "We'll see," she said, scooping up her plate and moving over to the sink. She didn't think Ghost Rider cared how much he'd cost Danny, which was a pretty depressing thought, even for her.

Danny got up, put the rest of the box back in the fridge, and walked over to Black Cat. "Think it over, why don't ya?" he said, then, surprising himself, he kissed her. It was a quick kiss, but it still happened. He turned around and walked out of the kitchen, that voice of doubt in his head screaming at him.

Cat set the plate down, ran a hand through her hair, and sighed softly. Like Spider-man hadn't been enough. She wondered if she ought to swear off of men altogether; it would definitely be easier. Of course, the fact that she was interested in one man... and was having conflicting feelings about another... could that be considered a sign of progress? ... Either way, staying in the kitchen for another minute or two was probably a smart idea.

Danny walked out into the sitting room, and Logan looked at him, asking, "The Doc got anything good to eat?"
Danny replied, "Of course. He's Doctor Strange."
Logan said, "Heh, good point," and walked in the kitchen. He saw Black Cat by the kitchen sink, and sniffed the air twice. Slight hint of frustration, or was that confusion? "What's wrong, Black Cat?"

Cat regarded him cooly. "None of your business," she said evenly, and left the kitchen without another word. So much for any one room staying quiet; the whole place was much too crowded for her taste.

Funnily enough, she was in the middle of telling herself the exact same thing. What was the big deal, anyway? Danny could take care of himself; she wasn't his babysitter. If anything, it was the other way around... Sadly enough. And she wasn't interested in Danny. Not really. He was nice, and he was looking after her. Unfortunately, he was also very ordinary, in and of himself. Ghost Rider was anything but... which would have been great, if she was interested in becoming involved with a vengeful spirit.
The real truth was that she'd get bored of Daniel Ketch before the week was out, and that would hurt him. That was what was bothering her. She didn't want to hurt his feelings; he was sweet. The kind of guy she wished she could be satisfied with. So... The next time it came up, she would just tell him that... there was too much going on. That she couldn't split her attention like this, not in the middle of whatever-the-hell was going on here. And she would stop flirting with him. Period. No more flirting for Felicia.
Stopping in the middle of a very unfamiliar hallway, she blinked and looked around. ... Just how big was this house, anyway?
