Kia nodded, "Why would I take it off?" He suddenly wanted to kiss her, for no reason at all. He just turned a little more pink in the checks as the thought flashed through his mind. "Sorry to rush you out of that room. The smell of all that blood was... um... We ran out of blood packs..." Kia mumbled the last part. He hoped she would understand.

Kia then had to ask, "So... um.. when are we to get picked up?" He steered her to start heading down the stairs, but then thought better of it. Reaching under her, he scooped her up, picking her up at the knees. When she showed signs of protest, Kia just smiled. "I think this is safer. I fear you would probably fall down the steps." He took the steps down, and as her view moved, she could see into the kitchen, and the mess he had made earlier. Kia had forgotten about that, and the door of the fridge still hanging barely on its hinges anymore.

Kia was blushing once again, as he followed her gaze. He didn't mean to leave it like that, but he had gotten so tired afterwards... and then the shower...

"I still think I went a little overboard. It really was either that or... well..." He was finding it hard to keep eye contact with her. He was trying to tell her he almost took more of her blood. He almost killed her if he hadn't ran out when he had. He had barely managed to bandage her up without taking a bit in to her...

All the while, these emotions played across his face. The desperation. The sadness. All the while, he was smiling at her. Her eyes where sparkling with such life. Hard to believe looking at her eyes that she had come so close to death not that long ago. "How is your arm doing?" Kia shifted the conversation, as he landed onto the main floor. He didn't put her down though. He liked holding her. "You need something to eat, don't you?" Kia just realized something she said earlier about werewolves needing more food, especially when they need healing. He still wasn't putting her down though, as he stood at the bottom of the stairs.

Kai realize he was just standing there holding her. "I... ah... guess I should set you at the table then. Don't worry, I'll find something. You just relax for the next half hour and leave things up to me." He took a few long strides over to the table, which was spared any devastation. "You like you meat raw, right?" He gentle let her legs fall to the ground, without forcing them. He didn't know where he was hurt, besides the arm and her neck. He offered to help her sit, but sitting was the easy part. You just let gravity do its thing. He did pull out her chair for her though, so she didn't have to try and move it on her own.

"I'm sure some of the meat from the fridge is still good, only been... what? A few hours? Maybe?" He wasn't certain. It could still be good, but then again, it could have spoiled already. He didn't like to see all those supplies go to waste.

Kia looked at the mess. "Oh. Guess that is a good thing then. So, how rare is rare?" He questioned, as he was sincere about making her food. He was actually hungry himself, but she was injured and was in more need for it.

All the while, Kia couldn't help but to play with his necklace. It sparkled in the light, depending upon the angle he had it at. It also smelled faintly of something, but it wasn't anything he could define. He hadn't moved yet from his spot, when he should be near the other fridge to see what was in there. He just felt the... something... need? The need to be near Kalia. Maybe he was going too far into the necklace gift, but Kia really hoped it really meant more than as protection.

Kia noticed two things. Kalia was falling asleep, and she was fighting to stay awake. She could sleep for a while at least, till their ride showed up. To help her, Kia walked over to the fridge with the meat. "Don't worry, I'll have something for you in no time." Really, he was going to take his time and let her rest. They could always eat on the way in. Quietly, Kia set up what he needed to cook the meat. He was going to leave her's more red than he would have liked, as last time he fully cooked the meat. He wanted it to be something she would enjoy, even if he would hate it. Also, he wasn't wanting meat this early in the morning.

It wasn't long till Kalia's food was done, as it really didn't need much work. Just a little searing to preserve the flavor and to warm it up really. He hoped Kalia was sleeping though. She needed her rest more than the food. He was cooking up enough for her, as he recalled the size of his own meal, and how much she ate last night.

For himself, he just found something in the cupboard that looked good for breakfast. He was eating as he cooked her food, so he could probably hold her meal in the car as they made their way to the council. He tip toed closer to the table, a plate with some meat set up. He bent down when he was close to look at her eyes. If they where open still, he would place the plate in front of her, if closed he would figure a way to make it portable for the car.

Kia gave in. He placed the plate in front of her, and then took a seat across the table from her. "I hope I did that right. I seared the meat, so it should be more raw inside, yet contain all the flavors of the meat as I didn't cook it fully." He finished what he was eating. "And all that is for you. I ate while I was cooking." He was looking into her eyes now, for they seemed to be rimed red. "On the ride there, do me a favor." Kia opened his statement, giving her a moment to hear him. "Please. Sleep." He was smiling at her still, as he watched her eat. He never noticed those eyes till he was carrying her down the stairs. They were full of life, but where very guarded as well. They also seemed to show loneliness and maybe a little despair as well.

How long had she lived alone? However long it was, it seemed too long. She needed friends and people whom she could depend on. She needed to stop being the loner and trust someone other than herself. As Kia thought this, he tucked his hand under his chin. He was very intent on watching her eat, without realizing it. If he had only been stronger, he could have prevented her injuries. If he only knew what he was, he was sure he could learn to become stronger. He couldn't wait for the council to see him, but at the same time he wished this moment could last as well.

Then he thought again, was he dressed appropriately to see the council? A flash of panic went through him. When he picked out his clothing, he hadn't thought of that! "Kalia? Do I look... decent... enough?" He hoped she was understand what he was asking. He felt like a fool for not thinking of this sooner.

Kia gave a sign of relief. "I thought I was under dressing for the occasion. When I grabbed my clothing, I didn't consider where I would be going." He actually liked what he found this time. The pants fit right, as he finally found a pair in the bunch his size. He also liked his black sleeveless shirt. It was close to the clothing he came here in, except they where windbreaker pants. And his shirt was black instead of white.

Kia was fingering the necklace again, wrapping the chain around his pointer finger. It seemed odd to be wearing a necklace, especially one that was given to him by a girl. It seemed, special. Even if it was only meant to protect him, it was special to him. In the four years he could remember, no one had given him anything like this.

Kia was rather surprised at how fast she seemed to recover, then again, he was sure she was still hurting. Was she showing him a side of herself she hide from others? He followed her, noticing how she walked was different. He accepted the jacket, as it was slightly chilly outside, but not bad. This morning would have been a good morning to go for a run. Too bad he was confined to the house, or in any place he wasn't to be seen by the towns folk.

Kia nervously slide into the seat beside Kalia. He was nervous, and was taking it out on the chain of the necklace. He needed something to pull, and the chain worked for the cause. Kia sat leaning against the door when it closed, as he needed the door's sturdy frame to keep his arm from shaking. Why was he so nervous? Maybe because he was about to find something more about himself? Maybe he was about to meet another dead end about his past?

All he was hoping for at this point was for it to be good news. He was tired of bad things happening, as they were happening too often as of late. "So... ahh... your last name is Naturai?" Kia was trying to work his nerves out by idle chatter. He was nervous, and it showed in his pasted on smile. She was pulling the tough girl act a moment ago, and he would understand if she wasn't in the mood to talk at the moment. He just had to relax Everything would be alright as long as Kalia was with him. He was safe thanks to the necklace... or so she said. He hoped that was really the case. Kalia was honest and upfront with Kia so far. He had no reason to doubt her now.
