Cinderella was not impress at all by Ruran's behaviour, he acted like he didn't owe anyone a thing. She was about to open her mouth when surprisingly it was Miyu who spoke up.
"But you are not strong, you do nothing useful instead put down others," her voice softly pointed out, "Do you really want to be sent away? It can be arranged."
Miyu looked sad, because Ruran was everything that went against what family meant.
"You're not strong," she repeated, "The only reason why you are fine, is because we are family. We wouldn't hurt you, in words or in blows, but you sound like... that's the only way you'll respect anyone, is if they do what you do to everyone around you."
She looked up at Celebor timidly because this was the most she had ever said about anyone, and she didn't like to speak badly of anyone.
"If you need help, Grandpa would be happy to... even if he says it's a pain."
Whatever courage she had lost steam and she began to play with her dress.

Celebor nodded at Miyu, still holding Ruran where he was. "I think I would like that," he agreed. "Though I was also sort of hoping that Ulani and Ulrich could help ..."
Ulani nodded, her jaw set firmly. "I would be more than happy to do just that," she said quietly, anger simmering below the surface.
Though she had a feeling that what the boy needed was to be utterly humiliated before he would even agree to any sort of training or discipline at all.
Rhea clutched her staff tightly. She had never needed it so much before as she needed it now. Curiosity was one thing, intelligence was another, and normally she had no trouble with stopping herself from leeching the emotions of others - but she had never been in a space with so much anger, and she actually found herself having to work hard to channel it out of herself.
"Cindy," she whispered softly, leaning over to whisper in her teacher's ear, "I think I should get out of here ..."
It was just getting to be too much for her, even with her staff ...

Cindy nearly whacked herself on the forehead, she had forgotten that a situtation like with Ruran would affect Rhea. Though to be fair, Rhea had been doing so well that she wouldn't have thought of something like that.
"Of course," she murmured putting a hand on Rhea.
She turned to Celebor and the others.
"We'll be heading back now, we'll talk later, and maybe you can go find Feng, Ryu and Naida, they'll love to know that you're here."
With that she went with Rhea back to the house, though it made her thoughtful. They never did manage to test the limits of Rhea's control because she had been kept sheltered here (which as Cindy noted would drive Rhea nuts). Perhaps this was something they should talk about later.
Miyu waved as the two women left before looking back nervously now. Now that it was obvious everyone to an extent was upset.

Rhea nodded a quick goodbye to her grandparents, and then turned and headed quickly out the door. She felt better almost immediately as she reached the fresh air, but still she had to fight the feelings of resentment and anger that were trying to bubble through her.
"I'm sorry," she murmured as Cindy joined her. "I've never been tested like that before ..." She shook her head slowly. "Let's go home ..."
Back inside the house, things were still a little crazy. Aras seemed to be hiding behind Miyu, Ruque and Kanis were huddling together behind their mother, who was trying to shield them - and Ruran was having a glare-off with anyone who dared to catch his eye.
"You want to hold me here, Dad?" he challenged Celebor. "Go right ahead. I can stick it out. Corrah did the same thing to me. He held me almost a whole day before he let me down. Let's see if you can hold out as long as he did."
Of course, he left out the fact that he had been the one to break down - hungry and in pain, he had finally succumbed to Corrah's correction. But he wasn't going to say that here.

"That's fine," Cindy murmured, "There's probably a good thing to all of that."
If Rhea wanted to go out into the world or more scary onto a hunt she would have to tested. As awful as it sounded there was perhaps a sliver lining to Ruran being here.
Oddly enough in her mind's eye she could see her father hanging Ruran on a hook and going on about his work. Miyu figetted and wished she could help, but all she could do was comfort Aras.

Rhea smiled shakily and nodded. "I thought I was ready for anything," she murmured, "but if not for my staff ..."
She shook her head. She didn't want to think about it. She was quite possibly the most magically powerful person there ... she didn't even want to consider the damage she could cause, taking in the rage that that boy felt.
Ulani looked at the other children who were there, and she couldn't help but feel sorry for them. To have such a wonderful person as Celebor as a father, and Niyana for their mother - she didn't know much about Niyana, but she felt certain that she had to be a wonderful woman - and then to have such a horrible brother ...
"Miyu," she said softly, turning to the girl, "why don't you take the other three outside? Maybe you could see Aliya or Adanedhel and Rose ... I'm sure Ecthelion would like to meet his new playmates."

"Well... as Aragost had once said when you were a child, you are very lucky to be born here. There are not many negtative influnces," Cindy murmured.
And it'll probably be war over there for a small while Cindy mused thoughtfully.
"Will you be okay?"
"Mi... okay," Miyu thought that was a very good idea as she motioned for the other two to come with her.
Suddenly though she paused, she didn't recongize one of the names.
"Ecthelion?"

Rhea nodded, still holding her staff tightly.
"I've never felt such anger," she admitted quietly. "Such ... hatred. It's ... it's sad ... but ..."
She lowered her eyes. "The reason for his anger is not that he hates others so much ... but because he hates himself. For what he is. Half elven. He hates his human heritage, he hates his mother ... but he hates himself most of all. To show anything but anger to him is weakness ... and it is consuming him."
She leaned her forehead against her staff, almost as if she were getting over a dizzy spell. "How could anyone become like that?" she whispered, sounding as lost as she felt.
Ulani smiled at Miyu. "Just follow the river, past Adonai and Shael's house," she instructed. "I'm sure Aragost would be happy to take you there - I can see he's still waiting in the yard for you."
He had never done well with large groups, it was no surprise to her that he hadn't come into the house as well.

"I don't know...." Cindy admitted.
In truth it confused her, Seconds were like a lot of Gaians they didn't particularly care whom they fell in love with. There was however another confusing factor to all of it.
"As much as I'd hate to admit it, he was probably somewhat born that way," Cindy added softly, "We who grow in stages rarely have a 'baby' stage, we are born fully capable of speech and to think for ourselves, though we are children in very sense of the word. We still need guidance, and people to show us right from wrong, but we already have our own personalities."
"Alright, mi..." Miyu agreed though she was still curious as she ushered the children out, "Come on, maybe the mers are there too, and they're a lot of fun."
At least she thought so, though she liked Ryu's calm before than Feng or Naida's bounciness.

Rhea frowned sadly. "But even ... even being inside his head, knowing what he's feeling, and what he's thinking ... I can't understand it," she said softly. "And I don't know what to do with it. What if I hadn't brought my staff with me in there? Sometimes I feel as though I don't need it anymore, that I can keep things out and therefore wouldn't need it ... but ... what if I hadn't had it in there?"
Aras clung tightly to Miyu as she led them all outside, and as Aragost came into view again she tugged on her dress and pointed.
"Who's that?" she whispered up at Miyu, her teal eyes filled with fear.

Now there was that, it was one thing to be able to understand how and why people felt but not being able to understand in a way that made sense to the person. Of course Rhea had been raised here where the values were pretty much the same.
"I don't know, maybe you would have lashed out at someone, maybe you would have felt ill..." Cindy murmured, "The truth is, even when we traveled when you were younger, the chances of running into someone like Ruran or anyone with that much hate or ill intent is rare unless you go out looking for it."
Miyu blinked looking to where she was pointing, and was surprised. She had not felt Yami-san as scary. Not unlike Aras' trainer that is.
"That's Yami-san," she paused and thought about it, "Well.. I always call him Yami-san, his name is Aragost."

Rhea looked at Cindy, her brow furrowed in confusion. "Then the fact that he's here ... that I've actually met someone with as much anger and hatred as him ... it was more likely not to have happened than to have happened eventually?"
It made her feel better, but still, she was worried about her lack of control, especially with her staff in hand.
Aras pressed closer to Miyu. "He's big ..."
Much taller than Corrah had been, even if he wasn't quite as forbidding looking.
Kanis blinked at Aragost. "Are you a trainer?" she asked, tilting her head curiously.

"Yes, you said so yourself he hates himself and his heritage, that is very unusual," Cindy replied, "Yes there could be people who could hold anger and hatred towards other things, but to that extent doesn't happen that often."
She put a hand on Rhea's shoulder.
"Ruran is probably one in a million."
Miyu blinked and looked up, she tilted her head. Now that Aras mentioned it he was very tall (though less tall now that she had grown). He was probably taller than that man.
"It's okay, Yami-san is very kind."

Rhea nodded and hugged Cindy impulsively. "Thanks," she said softly. "I wish I could help him somehow ... but to me, it seems that it would take someone else of half blood to do so."
Aragost rose from where he was sitting as the children approached him, and he made sure to keep his cowl low over his face.
"You are going to see Rose and Ecthelion," he said softly, "are you not?"
All three of the children were in awe, but it was Kanis who spoke up, her tone filled with awe: "How did you know?!"

Cindy sighed there weren't a lot of people, and she doubted Miyu would want to talk to Ruran about that. Lin wasn't really a half blood despite her appearance....
"I know and it would be nice if we could.... I don't know who could get through to him without being rough with him."
Miyu giggled, she was so use to this, but she forgot by now how unusual this was, "Magic," she murmured to Kanis, "And yes, we are..."
