Eyes flicking between Jade and Alek, Ashierra did her best to hide the sudden rock in her stomach. He had only been hit by the door! What was all this? "Well apparently you feel you know me well enough to poke at it." She said, irritation simmering underneath her words. This male was more trouble than... than... she didn't know what, but he was a lot of it.

Yes, he would be that stupid. Jade shook her head though a small smile of faint amusement lingered on her face as she stepped over Alek and waved to Ashierra. "I'll be out and about." She laughed faintly as she disappeared down the hallway.
"Do I?" Alek blinked innocently enough as he poked her hand once again, "So...whoever you are, you won't slap me for taking your help then?" He smiled lightly, barely watching as Jade left the room.

Ashierra looked up in surprise. "But-!" Jade was going to leave her alone with Alek and his memory loss?! No way! Jade was quick, though, and already down the stairs. With a huff, she looked down at her hand that was still hanging in the air being poked at. "I offered it, didn't I?" She said, a tiny bit gentler than before. If Alek really didn't remember for the time being, she could be a little nicer until he got better. When his memory returned, she wouldn't even play that it might never, he wouldn't remember this part, right? "Do you feel hungry at all? There's still some food left in the room. Still hot." What an odd change, sarcasm to politeness.

"I guess." His hand warm to the touch was still tender from the day before so he had to hide a small grimace of pain as he pushed himself up. Alek's eyes sparkled happily as he heard the word 'food'. "Still hot too?! Great!"
His fingers squeezed gently at Ashierra's hand before he let go. With a purr the cattaur went into the room and sat by the tray of food. "Looks good..." Looking back Alek frowned, "Have you eaten yet?"

A warm sensation shimmied up Ashierra's spine when Alek squeezed her hand. Maybe being nice would be dangerous even in the male's current state. He may not act quite the same, but he still looked the same, and the effect on her was the same. "Not really. I had a little bite before you got here." Her hand brushed over her stomach when it reminded her of her appetite. She padded back to the bed and sat down. After a moment of hesitation, she patted the spot next to her with her hand. The bed wasn't very big, but seating was limited in the room. "You can sit if you like." Then she immediately stuffed a slice of ham in her mouth to focus on something else. What did you say to someone with memory loss?

Alek literally bounced onto the bed yet somehow managed to keep everything on the tray as he went towards the food. "Well then let's eat together, since there's plenty to eat!" His hands moved like lightning as he stuffed random pieces of food into his mouth and ate them. He really was starved!
Flushing the cattaur tried to slow down as he remembered manners. Not that it was important considering the circumstances noted Alek silently as he sipped at his water.
"So what's going on Aas- around here?"

Trying hard to not laugh at Alek's lack of table manners, Ashierra shook her head. "Are you planning to leave any for me?" She scolded, a hint of play underlying her words. Smirking at the male's blush, she tore into a thick slice of bacon, missing Alek's near give away. "Right now? Breakfast." She said simply. What's going on... That was a good question. There were so many areas that single innocent question could apply to for her. She thought back to her training. Keep a clear head. Take it one step at a time. "How does your head feel? That must have been some hit to knock your brain out so much." Then she added softly, speaking to the bacon in her hand. "Whatever there was of it to begin with." Her sarcasm was returning. That was a good sign.

"Maybe, maybe not." Alek balanced a piece of toast in his mouth, "It's rather good after all." A small spark of flame jumped from his hand to a piece of bacon turning it black. With a satisfied purr the cattaur polished that off and leaned back to watch Ashierra.
"My brain?" Alek's words shook as his eyes looked about the room hastily. "I guess it must've hurt. I can't really recall." With ease Alek stood up from the bed and crossed over to the window to look outside. "At least the weather's pretty today."

Ashierra smiled gently when Alek performed magic. At least he could still do that. Hiding the smile with a mouthful of eggs, she nodded. "It's very good. We'll have to thank Jade for getting it when she comes back." Can't recall? Surely his head should still feel the smack of the door though? Wait. Thank... She looked at Alek as he got up to look out the window. She needed to thank him. More than once. She flexed her injured hand, feeling the crack of burned skin under the wrappings. She owed him a lot right now it seemed. Getting up, she followed him to look out the window. "Yes, it is nice out." She hesitated, fighting within herself, before asking; "Would you like to take a walk? The fresh air might help your head."

"Ah, we'll thank whoever you just said is." Alek smiled politely and pushed back against the small shock of breeze. Stetching the cattaur paused before looking over to Ashierra, "A walk?"
"Sure!" His smile grew and Alek nearly ran to the door, "Let's go!" While holding the door open, the cattaur did a small half bow and motioned for Ashierra to go ahead, "Ladies first."

Ashierra turned in surprise at Alek's enthusiastic reaction, her head cocked slightly. She hesitated a moment suddenly, leaning out the window and looking around. She pulled back inside feeling silly. No one would be bothering them after yesterday's show. She brushed at her hair with her hand as she walked to the door. "Thank you." She said, allowing a small smile to show. Downstairs, she noticed some of the tavern customers giving them curious looks, as if they knew about the fight, but she headed through to the front door without slowing.

Alek's eyes ventured over the tavern before he finally went outside of the building. Several of the customers had been giving them looks, and Alek realized that they better leave soon. 'Pity. I really was beginning to like it here.' With a shrug the cattaur walked from the path.
"Where to?" He asked Ashierra before grabbing onto her hand, playfully. "Shall you lead or shall I? Hmm?" His tail flicked mischievously in the air behind him. This was going to be a day for fun.

Inhaling deeply, Ashierra tried to think of this as a new day. Unfortunately, her injured hand was a constant reminder of her stupidity yesterday. Luckily, Alek grabbed her good hand. Still, she looked down in surprise. It felt so nice... her hand in his... Uhg! She attempted to slip her hand away. She couldn't allow herself to connect with him! Least of all when he wasn't himself! "I'm thinking I will. You're apparently not your old self yet." She paused. Would Alek have tried to hold her hand? She shook her head before looking around. "This way." She said, marching off a direction. They'd be passing the dinner she had been to with Jade, but she was not about to go in. She wanted to see what was beyond the village. Looking for their next move after leaving. Or, maybe, her next move.

Alek frowned and with subtle pressure kept a hold of Ashierra's hand. He wanted to enjoy it while he could after all. "Okay. So where are you taking us?" He asked, his soft words brushing against Ashierra's ears as he leaned close.
Fire sparkled in Alek's eyes as he looked around them. "Beautiful." The word left his lips carefully and held more than just one subject. Still it was hard to read him since he was looking innocently at the scenary around them.
He hoped that somehow he could- well no he wouldn't think of that. Alek closed his eyes before opening them again. He needed to focus.

With a sigh, Ashierra relaxed her hand. If he must hold it, she wasn't going to let herself enjoy it! At least, not consciously. "Where? It's a surprise." She said flatly, though it wasn't really a lie. She didn't know where they'd end up. The word had the effect Alek had probably been hoping for. It shimmied up and down Ashierra's spine, tickling her senses. "If you see anything you like- I mean, a store you want to stop at! If you want to stop anywhere to look, just say so."
