Lexi sticks her head into the mouth of the den and puts the fish down so that she can talk, curious for Lera's welfare. She's obviously never had pups herself, this entire thing is a new experience for her.
"Lera?" She calls inside. "Carmen and I brought some food..."

Kamali was just in view of the den, his steps slowing and stopping, head tilting to the side, curiously looking about. He went to the den mouth (ah ah. like cave mouth? see?) and sniffed. He could smell lera. And.. unfarmillur scents. His tail gave a few wags "Lera?" he called quietly, wondering if he was even allowed around here.
edit: Kamali blinked, almost jumping back as Carmen came next to him, and he looked up at her sheepishly. "Hi Carmen. Is it okay to talk to Lera yet?"

He was walking around the den, and looked around the area. God, it sucked that his mate wouldn't let him near her. Sighing, he would take his post at the front of the den. Sighing, the black wolf would give off a small yawn.
He would lick the blood from his lips, becuase he had a kill of a bunny that was darting by. He had fresh meat, and munched on a bit of snow. Sighing louder, he would plop to his butt before laying down and curling up. This was SO boring. His onyx eyes would flash slightly, before he closed them to listen to his surroundings. There was a light hoof print from a bit farther away. This was so BORING.
He needed something to do, I mean, honestly. Sighing again, he would open his eyes and move a bit closer to the den.

*Carmen followed up to the den as she saw Lexi poke her head in... instictly something was telling her they shouldnt be their.. Looking down she tried to give a comforting smile to Kamali*" In all honesty.... i am not sure. Mothers have a tendancy to have... mood swings >>" *Carmen thought she heard something nearby*

Kamali's orbs went wide "Oh" he managed. "I think i'll wait out..side." he gave her a smill wolvish grin, stumbling, backward, out. Bumping into Haku he turned and sat. "Oh, hello Haku.." he murmered, looking a bit embarressed.
((dunno if that made much sense.))

Lera didn't hear what they had siad, but their voices awoke her. Her head suddenly rose, her golden eyes wide open; peering through the darkness. At first her brain registered "threat" and she drew her lips back in a loud snarl, her pups clinging to her side.
But then she saw who it was...and immediately felt nothing but guilt. Her incticts and protective nature was starting to weaken, due to the pups growing in size. Lera gave a high pitched whine and apologize, "I am sorry..." she said, laying her head on the ground in the chute area. She looked to the three wolves, two with fish in their mouth. Carmen...Lexi...and then little Kamali. She had not meant to growl at them.

Lexi jerks back slightly as Lera snarls, rapping her head on the roof of the den (which makes her look a little comicly dirty as she tries to salvage her dignity.)
"It's alright...I don't imagine this is very relaxing..." Lexi blinks into the interior of the den, smelling the young pups. "How do you do it? All cramped up in there?" She sounds awed at the sheer patience involved.

Huh...do what? she thought at Lexi's questions. It wasn't like feeding pups in a confined space was hard, they weren't too big themselves. "Er...what do you mean?" Lera asked softly, not quite understanding Lexi's question. She turned briefly to guide a wandering pup back to her middle. How she adored puppies; and to think that she was their mother. It overfilled her with joy.

"Stay in here I mean." Lexi looks around trying to indicate the den it's self. "I mean, pups are wonderful and they're so cute, but how can you not feel...cooped up?" She fears she's about to really put her foot in it, but she can't imagine just sitting here for so long nursing pups.

"Oh..." lera said, thinking over what Lexi had said. Lera was eager to answer any questions the young she-wolf had, bets prepare he anyway wink
"Well, I suppose part of it is instinct telling me to stay by my pups, and not move...at all. But I believe another part if that I want to be here. I want to proetct my children, I want to take care of them. These little balls of fuzz fill me with so much joy it's just...I don't want to leave them..." she finnished, her voice soft.
This was Lera's first litter, and as a young mother she was determined to do her best at raising and taking care of the little ones. She shifted a bit, streatching out her leg, the little bodies starting to explore around her stomach and forelegs. They had slept and eaten; if was play time now! Well..play time on a newborn scale.

"Well I don't find joy that filling..." Lexi jokes, settling down and nudging the fish with her nose, tail wagging as the puppies begin to play. "I hope you don't mind fish, I thought you'd be tired of rabbit and we haven't been able to get enough paws together to go after a deer it seems like, but I'm sure we'll be able to soon...

Tobias was shocked. Lera had given birth? She was pregnant? He seemed to remember her stomach being larger, he supposed it had just never registered. Feeling rather stupid, he followed Kamali, watching from a little farther away. More pups? He definately smelled some different scents. Tobias supposed that taking care of new pups could be fun. He saw Lexi going into the small den, but it seemed to be a girls-only affair. Shyly, he stayed behind, wishing not to disturb the new mother.
((Short post, I apologize! I also apologize for not being on a lot lately.. I just happen to be quite busy with life lately. ._.; Theres exams and lots of end-of-semester projects, as well as trying to switch my schedule around for next semester, and trying to get a job because I need to save up money for a trip in april, and family problems, as well as volunteer hours and personal problems. xD So that is why I haven't been on lately... sweatdrop ))

Lera gave Lexi a grin before turning her head to her pups. She daintily piched each one up and placed them down in the middle of the den utop eachother. She gave each of them a few legs before rising and crouching, heading down the tight chute. It was an issue: food couldn't eaten in the den; there wasn't enough room.
Lera's eyes squinted at the brightness of the outside worlf. Her pelt was covered in dirt, from being inside the den for an extended period of time. She vigerously shook her body, attempting to rid herself of it before looking to the fish. She was once again fiulled with hunger. Lera had never eaten fish before..."Thank you," she said looking to both Carmen and Lexi in that before bending and eaten ravenously. Fish was good! o_o or perhaps she had just been eaten for a long time...?
Once she had devoured the two fish (and rather quickly, She was dman hungry) Lera gave the two she-wolves a grin before turning to Lexi. "Would you like to see them?" she whispered, feeling much at ease once she had eaten.

*Carmen couldnt help but listen and look into the den as Lexi and Lera spoke. Staying silent as a mouse she didnt want to disturb their talk.. was it the fact she was afraid to speak? or was she horribly curious. We arnt really sure... Looking around Carmen noticed another come closer, another male. She had never seen this one though.. she felt herself bristle for a second. But then she smelt most of the packs scent on him. Figuring that he was a pack member she didnt know she proceaded to relax. Sending him a nod she turned her head around to listen to the others... man did she feel like a easedropper.*
(( *tackles jelly* its fine! life does that sometimes :3 ))
