The only problem Senritsu had with what Sukotto was saying right now was, well, what he was saying. Where exactly was she supposed to be paying attention to? Apparently not her hands since he made that incredibly clear. Perhaps her feet? Or what if he was referring to the tree beneath her feet? Of what if she was supposed to be thinking of something completely off topic? No, because then she’d be unfocused on what she was doing at the moment. Huffing a bit in frustration at what exactly she was supposed to be doing, she just went on trying to do it the way she had done before, making sure her feet weren’t slipping and keeping quiet and to the side. A mere observer of Sukotto and Shisei’s little spar match. It seemed her hypothesis of Sukotto running low on chakra was correct as his creations of clones ceased and he became a little more intent on what he and Shisei were doing. While she was finishing up her last few hand seals, she realized she‘d completed all of them without falling or even slipping once. Smiling to herself, she completed the last one and let her leg down proudly. Now, she'd try one last time, and try to increase the speed of the completion of her hand seals. Bending down, she checked on her ankle, making sure she wasn't putting too much pressure on it too quickly.
Melding the Skills Sukotto has asked Senritsu to combine her previous training sessions by trying to preform hand seals while balancing on a tree branch. DC: 38 1d20(12)+Ninjutsu(17)+Focus(11)= 40 2/3 Special: If you roll under 8, you lose 7 health.

Senritsu thought about it for a while and really couldn’t come to a certain reason why Sukotto would have her do this particular exercise in a tree. If anything why didn’t she do it somewhere a slight bit, well, less dangerous than on top of a slippery tree beside a near sheer cliff. Perhaps he was attempting to silently assassinate her without anyone else being the wiser. Smirking to herself as she sad down in the tree for a moment, giving her ankle a bit of rest while she could. Another attempt at doing the whole one footed stand in a tree would have to wait to be done again. Another good go at it would definitely be decent enough in her own opinion. Hopefully it would be good enough for Sukotto’s liking as well. Well, it would have to be. One more good run is all Senritsu would be giving to him on this. Her gentle hands began to massage the formerly wounded ankle, feeling that it was beginning to swell a little again since she’d tried to do the training much too early. Earlier than her ankle would have liked at least. It seemed her ankle had a bit of a mind of its own. Thinking about that little animation of her ankle popping up with eyes and a mouth, chewing her out on starting to stand on it again, just made the Uchiha giggle to herself before clearing her mind of the silly thought.

Getting herself back into position in the tree, the Uchiha knew that giving another try before taking a little break wouldn’t be too harsh on her ankle. It was beginning to throb slightly as she stood up on one foot again. Silently, she thought to her ankle to just wait another second or two just to allow her time to try again. This training was seriously starting to get on her nerves. Which was incredibly surprising. Senritsu rarely got annoyed this way by an inanimate object. At the moment Senritsu was vowing to herself never to do another exercise where it may cause her pain or injury. At least not as severe as this was. They were to be going on the mission soon and Senritsu didn’t need to be hurting herself like this. She’d have to make sure to be ginger with it while they were still training. She could only wonder exactly why she was being forced to continue doing more advanced pieces of the trainings she’d previously done. Why couldn’t she do something different? Sighing all of her discontent away with the situation, she began to finish up doing the hand seals all over again. This time trying to go about it a slight bit quicker than she had done with her previous tries. As soon as the last seal was finished, she smiled and closed her eyes. That was it. That was all she could give.

Slipping herself gently out of the tree, Senritsu looked back at it and thought about whether or not she should go back and check on Fuki that she’d left at the Estate. A sharp inhale in her lungs could be heard as she gazed at Sukotto. She’d forgotten to tell him about the dog! Oh well. Perhaps she should leave it as a little surprise whenever the two returned to the Estate later on? At least she wouldn’t have to tell him then. Maybe he’d think it was a somewhat late birthday present? Wait, did he even like dogs? It was something she’d never taken into account before. “Um, hey, I have to go get something, I’ll be back as soon as I’m finished.” It’d probably be best if she went and checked on the dog at least once more before she left. Just to make sure the other female of the Uchiha’s didn’t do anything to her.

Picking up the books next to her feet, she tucked them beneath her arm and waved to Serena and Sukotto, not that she expected him to return one in the particular predicament he was in with Shisei. With that, she turned and began to lightly limp her way towards the trees that would slowly take her back to the Village, and from there, the Estate. She wouldn’t be jumping any fences to make the trip shorter, so it would be something she’d have to endure and take the long way around. Maybe a quick pick up of a bit of food would help her out. It was lunch after all and the small group may be a little hungry. Then again, like she’d though of before, Sukotto was a workaholic. It’d be amazing if she’d even get the chance to mention it before he’d have them off doing something again.

Besides, even if she did pick something up, it may not be what the others want. If Senritsu had a choice in breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it would all be sweets and candies. But, that would make her teeth bad, and she hated cleaning them as it was. Having to do triple duty would just end up getting on her nerves and she’d end up losing all the love she had of her precious treasures. As much as she delighted herself in her babies, There’d be no way it’d be worth having to clean her teeth so often. Bringing the books around from her side to her chest, she wondered when exactly she’d have the time to read them. Perhaps when they were finished with whatever it was the mission was for.

Growling lightly to herself as she made her way through the maze of trees and bushes, she wondered why Sukotto just had to keep the mission details a secret. She’d be really angry if he ended up telling Serena and Shisei everything about it while she was away checking on the dog. Maybe she should pick up her pace. Looking down at the books in her arms, she thought back to what she’d read before. Genjutsu was something she would be learning, she knew that. As well as Ninjutsu. Perhaps not a lot, but still. It’d be something essential to the progression of her improvement. As for exactly what it would be that she’d learn, she would have to wait until she was able to read more.

As for one of the Jutsu she wished to learn, she knew that she would need to rack her brain for the name of the Jutsu that required a scroll to hide things easily. Scratching the side of her head, just behind her ear, she just could not remember what on earth it was called. Senritsu wanted to slip open the book in her hands to quickly search for the name, but if she did that she wouldn’t be able to watch where she was going. And the way she was at the moment, she’d probably end up tripping and hurting herself again. It seemed she was getting hurt quite a bit this year, much more than she had in the last few years actually. It, well, plain sucked. Being a Shinobi in the field would only mean she would be getting hurt a lot more often. Perhaps not because of a tree or a lion, but an actually human being.

Senritsu was nearing the village slowly. It was taking way too long for her liking, but her ankle was still a bit too tender to walk too quickly, much less run the way she normally did. Now that she knew the Shunshin no Jutsu, she’d be able to run a lot faster than if she were to just run the way she always had. Too bad she couldn’t use it now. It would have made this so much easier, and a lot faster. Her thoughts began to rotate on themselves, thinking the same thing over and over as she continued to walk. At the moment, the trees were beginning to become less and less frequent, and Senritsu could see the end of the greenery not too far up from the position she was currently at now.

The low slide to the back of one’s joint was perfect, but the Uchiha was faster than the Orochi. His stronger frame leaped into the air before the dread hair was close to contact. It was only then that the serpent youth had an idea of what the male may have been trying to do. If done at the precise time, the hazel eye teen would not even need to counter attack. All he had to do was let gravity take over and his form could crush the boy underneath. It was crafty if that’s what he was planning. As snake student’s body entered into the shadow of Sukotto’s falling skeleton, the pale fingers interlocked again to make the seal of ram. Just as the smaller body was about to be splashes by the larger ninja, Shisei’s body disappeared and it’s place was a jumble of leaves, twigs… and a bird nest? Yes. The youth would have to bless his prodigious eyes for scoping that nest out when he entered the aerial baseball slide. He would also need to thank his brain for thinking of that change in the last minute.
Shisei’s body was now above, precariously on a tree branch high up. He let his form fall and similar to the Uchiha would let gravity do most of the work. His one exception would be to release his left elbow into the back of the Uchiha. Shisei heard his superior say be careful of using the jutsu with elaborate items and things as it could give away his position. As ivory skin began to contemplate his choice, maybe a bird nest was not the best idea. Yet it was fly at the moment, he did the best with what he had. Hopefully the sharingan wielder would only realize when it was too late. Shisei also had to hope that once he landed, hopefully elbowing the boy in the back, that his body could make a quick sprint from the area. There was one angry bird swooping down above the maverick kid to get back her eggs and nest.

After Shisei replaced his position with a few random pieces of brush, Sukotto allowed yet another grin to pass across his face. He was quite happy to see the youth do so well when it came to actually performing the jutsu after having had a bit of difficulty with making the hand seals sufficiently stealthy. As he neared the ground, Sukotto's trained eyes caught site of a bird's nest, which caused his smile to fade away. It was obvious that one of two things had happened. Either Shisei had merely picked a random collection of debris to switch positions with, or he had consciously chosen the bird's nest to switch spots with. For the time being, the Uchiha would assume the former, as he didn't have time to deeply consider the situation. To make sure that he didn't land on the nest, the Uchiha landed in a wide-based stance, placing one foot on each side of the bundle of twigs and collection of eggs. Already knowing exactly where the boy would most likely be coming from, Sukotto didn't take the time to check for him, swept the nest up in his hands, and kicked off hard, moving his body and the nest backwards and safely out of the way of the Orochi's aerial assault.
After having moved out of the way of the serpent youth's assault, the Uchiha nodded at the boy. "Well done, Shisei. You have become proficient enough with the technique to successfully use it in battle." With that said, Sukotto climbed up the tree that Shisei had taken the bird's nest from and gingerly replaced it about the same area that the boy had attacked from, figuring that that was where the nest had been located. "However, I think that you need to work on picking out your substituted objects a little more carefully, so for the next little while, I want you to scope out some items that you could replace yourself with, without giving your position away too easily, and still managing to remain close enough to perform a sneak attack." After speaking to the Orochi, Sukotto waved at Senritsu as she leaved, wondering what it was that she had to do so suddenly. He then made his way over to one of the trees that jutted out from the cliff's face, hooked his legs around a sturdy branch, and allowed his upper body to fall below the branch. From this position, Sukotto would perform sit-ups, which would hopefully awaken his body a little, as he had been quite worn out from the near-constant genjutsu training. While he did the sit-ups, he would form the Ram seal, restoring his chakra at the same time.

Since he didn't really need to observe Shisei's training, Sukotto was able to focus on his own training a little more. Becoming a squad leader had proven to be a slightly more busy task than he had anticipated, and the Uchiha would have to make sure that he still maintained his own training, while assisting his squad, else his skills would lose their edge and become dull. If this were to happen, then his squad wouldn't be able to rely on him if they were faced against an opponent who proved to be too powerful for them to overcome without Sukotto's help. He hoped that he would eventually help them all to reach a point in which that hazard would nearly vanish, but all three of them were a long ways off from that, and would need to be guarded until then, especially if they were expected to go out on missions which could lead to encounters with unknown foes. Keeping this in mind as he worked out, Sukotto decided to review a few situations that he could possibly prepare his squad for. He wouldn't reveal any of his strategies to them until they were actually on the mission, as their limited time to train was vital and didn't offer him any time for such matters. Until the mission began, they all needed to focus on becoming more powerful individually, and especially as a team.

The first situation that entered Sukotto's mind was having the team run into an opponent who was more powerful than himself. Unfortunately, if this were the case, Sukotto would have to rely on his three teammates instead of himself, which was a frightening thought indeed. He knew that they were all strong in their own respect, but to be able to fight against an opponent who was more powerful than himself would be quite a task. The Uchiha planned on developing his genjutsu further when he had taken care of a few matters, so that would offer him an additional tool with which he could support the team. If he couldn't manage to take down the enemy with his Phoenix Flower, then he would use some sort of genjutsu to weaken the enemy so that his teammates would be able to more easily bring this opponent down. This sounded like a good idea if things were perfect, but Sukotto felt as though his genjutsu wasn't where it needed to be to be truly useful. Additionally, he didn't actually know any genjutsu techniques that would be able to weaken an enemy in the way that he had planned to, and he definitely wouldn't have time to invent or learn any before the squad left for their mission. Sukotto could attempt to invent one during the mission, but it would be a difficult task, and something that would be hard to complete while training the team at the same time.

Shisei’s body plummeted to the earth. He tried to drive his elbow in the back of the boy, but Sukotto’s speed was too great. Even with only the few seconds of time before contact, the Uchiha managed to move out of the way leaving the small skeleton to collide with solid earth. “Ow ow ow…” the Orochi youth muttered between clenched teeth as he rubbed his lower back and tailbone. His other palm rubbed the back of his neck and spine. A landing similar to a kite that lost its air and crashed to the earth, Shisei’s entire body was in pain. To add to this ache was the bird from above. It made a dive bomb into the serpent kid’s face and began to peck away. After a minute it flew back into the sky where its nest was now placed. “Well that was a stupid move… ow.” little snake reprimanded himself as his hands rubbed his sores. After the avian assault, Shisei’s body was now on his stomach, eyes closed with one hand holding his nose. The last place the pesky flying chicken pecked. The other arm massaging his lower spine and the end of it. The dread hair will have to make sure to be wary of displacing nests and homes of woodland creatures.
As his form lay on the dirt, the Orochi youth heard the voice of his superior. He wanted him to practice the jutsu some more. “I don’t have time for that…. I need to learn more jutsu.” the scaly child breathed out. His obsession couldn’t be satiated. Especially since all he had was two. Not even all the academy techniques were learnt. Yet his body was tired at the moment. The injured back of the child made him lose his energetic burst and momentum brought on, by the use of jutsu and physical movement. Now that the ivory skeleton was stationary, Shisei could feel just how tired his body was. His breath puffed in and out as the golden orbs just stared from its low level view out into the distant. His head looked at all the weathered stones on the ground. The young eyes stared at the. There were decent enough sized ones the child could use to displace his being with for the jutsu. Stones on the floor would be much harder to figure out. His face then turned towards the cliff so his eyes had a great view of sky. What time was it? Was it mid day already? Even if his progress was phenomenal for a boy his age, barely a teen, it wasn’t enough. It would never be enough as long as he was behind.

As the sun stood high in the sky Shisei wondered just how close a bird could get to the sun. Who close could it get to that thing of seemingly infinite distance before its wings began to burn and it would fall back to the ground? As his form lay there the serpent youth still questioned his situation. Why was he playing catch up to a bunch of trash? Those who even had no use for jutsu had probably known more than he. They’ve all probably began to move on to learn other, new stronger techniques. Yuki’s brats were probably learning clan specific techniques while the serpent youth could not learn any. What Orochi were left to learn from? Most likely none. There was probably a foundation of techniques of the Orochi clan lost forever now. If the maverick’s progress was not quicker in learning jutsu, then he’d always be behind. As one of his fingers began to play with a lone blade of grass protruding through pebbles. So then what was the point? What was the point in anything...
