The necromancer nodded his head listening. He pulled some clothes out of a small trunk for him. They included some very...elaborate clothes, all in crimson red colors. It was as if they were blood. He then looked at him for a while. "I know it's...a horrible thing to ask of you, but there are those out there...who know who you are, and are powerful. You are powerful even in this state my lord, but not powerful enough yet to challenge them. This world has changed. Power has lowered in the masses, and risen in the individual."

He nodded a bit. "You'll be able to meet up and find me though my lord. That I have no doubt of. I will be in that building we left, I'm sure you'll be able to find it. You are Vas after all. Simply come to it and go down in the elevator on your right to the basement. You will be led to me from there my lord."

Alcinia looked out from where she was waiting within the wings of the stage. It wouldn't be long before it was her turn to perform as well. She fluffed the black feathers of the boa that encircled her neck and breathed out slowly. Even though she hated to admit it, she always got just a teeny bit nervous before actually performing. She shifted from one foot to the other, uncomfortable standing in those red stilletos partially encrusted with tiny red gems. They kept digging into her feet, and her idleness was more than enough to make her very aware of the pain.

She felt a shiver run down her spine while she waited.

Odd...

Something wasn't right tonight.

((Please don't hurt me if it's too graphic! Or something! I'll edit it and make it more PG if necessary. *hides* Lyrics shall be in italics and parentheses))

Finally...

She watched the performers heading off stage towards her. They looked exotic with the pointed ears, extreme amount of stage make-up and remnants of their outfits filled with rustling green bills. The sweat glistened off of their skin as well as the body glitter that caught the stage light. The three of them looked tired, but had enough energy to throw her withering looks as they passed by. Alcinia arched an eyebrow at them in response, with a demeaning glance of her own as a corner of her red lips tugged her mouth into a scowl when one purposely ran into her shoulder to throw her off balance.

The other performers weren't exactly fond of her, knowing of her siren blood. They attributed her popularity to their customers as a result of her magical voice. It wasn't fair, not to them at least. In the end, it even resulted in higher pay. She grinned, placing full confidence in her ability to charm, with or without her voice. In her mind, there was a great distance of sexual prowess in between her and her fellow elven dancers.

The subtleties of seduction were in her hands to use and manipulate to her whim. And in her mind, that was enough to wind the audience around her little finger. The voice was just an added bonus; a means of security, if you will.

The lights dimmed low, cueing her to enter on the stage. Her heels clicked against the stage floor as her dress and boa flowed about her. Additional footsteps came in from the other side, setting something at center stage with a heavy thump and scuttled quickly off.

Alcinia stood behind the microphone, poised and ready to sing. She ignored the atmosphere around her, the leering gazes peering through the darkness in front of her, the malicious glances from the stage wings, that cold shiver up her spine that she had felt earlier when waiting in the wings...and most of all the fact that she was in a strip club, singing her magical voice out to a group that would not understand it as true music. That it was only a method to seduce and raise sexual excitement. Just like her, it was only a tool. They wouldn't even know her real name, but she didn't even know which one it was anymore anyways.

"And now, ladies and gentleman," came the smooth masculine voice over the sound system.

Here it is...

"I present to you, one classy lady..."

Get on with it...

"Our singing night siren of club Cythera..."

Now...

"Cassandra!"

The spotlight flashed onto her form at the mention of her name, lighting the stage but keeping the audience in the dark. A smooth jazzy melody flowed out from the speakers, enveloping her and the audience in its repose. She was poised, her hands on the old-fashioned microphone with its silver ridges. The black feathers tickled her neck, flowing over her breasts and dipped down to her crotch, serving as her only cover for the extremely sheer red cocktail dress she was wearing. It glittered in the stage light and dripped down to her ankles, leaving one huge slit on her left thigh. Yes, she was only a tool...

"I'm just a baby in this business of love..."

But then again...that was show biz and thoughts like that really didn't matter too much.

Ears that had long since been deaf to magic tuned into the siren's voice, the sweet melody and pitch as the ghost could tell this would be worth listening to even though she had only sung the first line.

But that nagging feeling would not leave her be, she had 'haunted' this place quite a bit, and had always felt it her duty to warn the special occupants of danger should it arise. Now, with the siren onstage, and those waves and throbs of evil coming closer and closer with each moment, she was gone from the crowd, up on the stage, and whispering in the siren's ear, for her ears alone.

"Evil is near... heed your instincts and run.." This wasn't the first time she had given this warning in this place, and last time the poor girl went into a state of hysterics that made the other girls think she had gone quite mad and not believe a word of what she was trying to say. There had been rumors of course, about a bodiless voice that would whisper to the dancers about things just before they happened.

This time, Nika was not sure, but she knew that if it was coming anywhere near here, all these mortals would be in danger. She would never wish the same kind of lonely existance that she had on anyone but the evil, and even then it had it's limitations.

The Ghost just hoped this one was built of more solid stuff..

"Evil is near... heed your instincts and run.."

Eh?

Her eyes widened in response.

In that brief interval in between the first line and the following part, she had heard a voice. It was faint, yet, she was fairly positive that it had been there, that chill of apprehension growing stronger than before. She shivered and really considered it, abandoning her performance in order to run away...and throw the audience in a frenzy, but not the good kind...and give those vultures standing in the wings a reason to ridicule for the next month.

No.

Alcinia strengthened her resolve and stood her ground. If anything, she was very prideful and wouldn't allow herself to be placed in such a position for ridicule. Besides, it was all only a coincidence...right? Right?

((Again, please don't hurt me if I'm being too graphic! *hides* Just tell me and I'll try to fix it.))

Her body moved to the music, hips swinging side to side to the beat as the sequins on her dress caught the stage light to reflect back to the audience. One hand slid down to the base of the microphone while the other cradled it as she let her voice flow out from her throat, enveloping the room with her dulcet tones. The melody of the song was smooth and sensual; she adjusted her voice to match it.

"I'm a mover, a shaker, like Mack the Knife," she sang out, continuing the rhythmic swaying of her body.

"I can take your last dollar with a throw of the die." She accented the lyric with a swift movement of her hand towards the audience and pressed her body up against the microphone stand.

"I've got a gift for winning from heaven above..." She slid her body down the stand as well as the hand that cradled the base of the microphone while keeping the other at the top; she kept her face staring up toward the microphone.

"But I'm just a baby in this business of love." She slid up slowly until she was face to face with the microphone again, singing into it with hooded eyes.

"I'm a smooth operator in all affairs." Alcinia moved to the side of the microphone, disregarding her need for it since sirens inherently had superb projection, and started walking towards the audience. She kept in time with the music and accented the swing of her hips as she approached the edge.

"Sophisticated," She spun...

"Debonair," ...and accented the song with a flick of her hair.

"I've got all kinds of fancy stuff."
She bent over and shimmied softly, using the music to imply the existence of her...assets.

"but I'm just a baby in this business of love." Alcinia stood up straight, lifting up part of her skirt to reveal the tanned leg underneath as she cocked an eyebrow at the audience.

"I'm just a baby," she crooned, swaying to the music as she turned around a bit, placing her hand on her backside.

"Nobody ever spanked me."

She turned again towards the audience, bending over and backing up a bit as she pressed her hands to her chest as if they were bound.

"Somebody save me...
Cause I'm just a baby in this business of love."

The siren made her way around the front of the stage scatting and brushing nearby heads with the tips of her feathered boa. She would move to the beat, snapping her fingers along the way. The movements shifted the boa, teasing the audience as to what she was barely concealing from them. As she waited for the next verse, her eyes hovered from face to face, occasionally winking or licking her lips to wind them more securely around her fingers.

Then she saw him in the back, intently watching her; the feeling of fear flooded her and she nearly faltered in her step.

Watching the crowd from behind the singer, she frowned to herself, though no-one could see her. It seemed that the Siren wasn't going to listen, and place all the people in that club in mortal peril.

'Bloody pride..' She thought to herself, then, the waves became stronger, and she was able to spot the 'source' of the vibes instantly, like a moth to the flame she sort of glided over to him, his bath-robe looking very odd indeed in a club such as this, and the ruby eyes staring profixedly at the singer. Nika became distressed, which was to say that a few peoples smiles about her dissapeared as her emotions surrounded her like an aura untill she was but five feet from the strange and dangerous man.

She appeared behind him, dressed differently and her hair now a startling blondish-white color. It had many outer layers and hung loose down her bare shoulders from the tank-top she wore. Bright green eyes peeked out from long fluttering lashes, heels making her appear taller and the shorts skirt making her legs look longer. She surpressed a grimace at her appearance before concentrating hard and picking up a tray from the nearest table. She was dressed as one of the waitresses now, her face full of smiles as she greeted the man, her voice a soft, sultry, musical sound.

"May I get you something to drink sir?" She asked with a girlish edge to her new voice. She would have loved to get into his mind at that moment, except she was concentrating too hard on holding the solid tray in her arm. None of this showed on her face though, she had to try and get this man out of here somehow!

No, this wasn't it. The woman... the siren, wasn't singing to her full potential. Still, despite that her voice was truly grand. For a moment there the boy was almost enthralled. The memory of his sister flowing within his thoughts. The song itself though... was rather degrading; it seemed so to the adept at least. Vas smiled as he locked eyes with the beautiful siren. The magus just had to have her. No, not as a lover, but a pet. Oh, the man standing in the midst of people with naught but an open bathrobe on was quite angry; he did not like the nature of that song. Too slutty within his mind.

At that point the attention wandered from the beautiful singing siren to a nearby incorporeal image of a woman, floating behind the young lord. Thoughts swirled within the magus's head. No she didn't have the clear mind. Of course not. Within insanity Vas had found salvation. As he mentioned before to his ghastly companion, all truth was seen and known. The recently released prisoner suddenly twitched. That pissed the living hell out of him. How could someone even think of trying to deceive someone as great as him? Preposterous.

"What do you want female?" the master hissed "Why is it that you seek to chase me away from this place? A fear of my divine power perhaps?" That eye, the blooded right eye... it looked so curious and rather strange, so very strange. Trying to resist the temptation of swatting the specter, Vas simply took his right arm and held the left one. Being angry was not a good thing. Not a good thing at all. Even if the power wasn't fully restored the insanity reigned as well as ever.

Hybrid stared at the map and began to touch a few areas on it. He would wait for all the members of his party to return, then they would go out to meet his friend and his pet. His eyes stared at the map and then it slowly faded away as he turned back around to assess who was still there at the moment. He contemplated for a moment and then took the blades Zaniah had left him into a room, leaving those who had stayed there.

Sounds would emit but only echo in the room as he was fixing them up. It was a process no one else would be allowed to see. After all, that would ruin the greatness of it right? He was a adept man, at least in the art of magic, and so that made life somewhat easier for him, if nothing more than a shell of what it could be. Hybrid was literally concerned with very little at the time being.

His eyes stared down as he worked the metal into a sharpened point, the hammer that slammed into the blades was covered in ruins, and glowing continually. The blue glow brightened with every fall of the hammer, and then finally the ringing would stop. He looked down at it and nodded his approval. He lifted the now glowing weapon. It had a few ruins in a strange language upon it.

He would walk back out the weapons in their sheaths and set it at her place at the table. He himself would walk back and wait to see if anyone else wished to see some weapons. They would be of the best quality he could offer at the time, with short notice at least.

It had taken a moment just to get the man's attention, but then when she finally did, it was to get a look of utter loathing and contempt. Purely white eyes stared back just as full of hate as she placed the tray on an empty table and her form shifted, almost as if she was blending into the air it's self as her body shimmered and changed.

Auburn hair was the way it had been before, and her clothes were moderately decent once again as she 'walked' over to him, her milky eyes seeming to shimmer with hate and loathing as she spat.

"Fear? I know what you are, undead scum! There's nothing on this plane you can do to harm me. You should know that 'all knowing one'" She said the title like she was tasting something horrid. She herself was angry, angry that he was here, angry that he would try and just take for his own pleasure. Without having to concentrate on the tray anymore, her 'mind' moved, flowed towards his and slipped in to find... chaos.

He was completely insane, his own mind was not even capable of organized or rational thought. Reeling as if struck, a hand flew to her head as she withdrew, glaring before melting away into thin air. Able to throw a taunt from the few fragments of his mind she was able to decipher..

"You can't kill what's already dead Val... and your sister's bones scream for vengence you worthless worm." Okay... not a very nice ghost, but she had protected those she had found worthy of protecting since coming to this world, and she would continue to do so till she was swept home.

Dissapearing from the naked eye, she also projected that she was simply 'not there' to those about her, so they ignored anything they might have felt, heard, or seen as, every now and then the spectral popped back into sight.

Nika made for the stage once more, gnashing her teeth as she approached the siren one more time, instead of a slight whispering, was a harsh voice in her ear.
"If you don't get yourself and those bloody elves out of here right this moment, you will be enslaved and they will all die!" She was THROUGH playing around, the contempt and the stench of evil on the man was enough to make her lash out, causing a few stage-lights to pop and break.

Arkus had simply been sitting in the room, and Hybrid left, sharpening, assumingly, Zaniah's weapons. He crossed his arms and watched as Hybrid returned, and he still continued leaning on the back two feet of the chair, propped up with an elbow to the next table, a hoof up on the one he sat at.

"So, Hybrid." He said, looking at the man with a discerning eye, as Hybrid brought back Zaniah's weapons. "Indulge me. I wish to see what you have in store for all of us. I must admit that it would take some effort to find a weapon that is useful to me.. if I do say so myself." Arkus was proud of what he could do with very little. His bare hands and hooves and horns his only weapons.

Though perhaps there were a few things he could improve upon. Ranged combat was certainly not his strength; he often had to take cover in the face of those contraptions called 'guns.' However he often overcame that.

Also, there was a small matter of how huge he was and how easy he was to hit. Arkus vaguely remembered minotaur ceremonial armor. It included sheathes for the horns, plates upon the back and chest, chainmail on the rest, for the most part. Gauntlets that had claws instead of regular fingertips, special hoof 'boots,' if they could be called that, which made a kick from the minotaur much more deadly than it already was.

However perhaps his greatest weakness was this thing known as 'magic.' He had no idea how, why, or really any basic understanding of it, and he did not trust it at all. The main reason why he didn't trust Hybrid was that he reeked of magic, employed it on a regular basis. However were he to come across something useful that was indeed magical, he would have no quarrel with using it. Such was his somewhat hypocritical view upon magic.

"Show me." He stated more than asked. "You've caught my interest." He chuckled, grinning a bullish grin.

come to speak to them as she turned away to sing her next line.

"To ensure--" she started, but was cut off with a harsh voice hissing in her ear, startling her. It wasn't long before voice was followed by a few screams as well as her own when some of the stage lights above her popped and broke, glass falling down from above her. Alcinia flung herself backwards and placed her arms above her head, protecting herself from any fallen glass.

What was that?

The club itself started to illuminate, the lights slowly turning on as the crowd chattered in surprise and discontent. Alcinia looked around, some of the audience members looked quite peeved while some just looked frightened.

"Sorry, ladies and gentlemen, we seem to be having some technical difficulties," said a voice over the speaker system. She could hear the people backstage shuffling about, trying to get everything fixed up and organized.

The siren's gaze scanned the audience where she saw that man again...he looked angry and she felt herself shiver because of him.

"If you don't get yourself and those bloody elves out of here right this moment, you will be enslaved and they will all die!"

All of the bad vibes and atmosphere pointed towards him, and she felt herself shiver again with fear.

I could care less for these people...my conscious perhaps?

Alcinia bit her lip and stood up. She steadied herself and started to sing, weaving magic into her voice. She sung in her native language, urging the audience to quickly get out of the club and allowing them to crowd near the entrances, very close to where the mysterious man in a...bathrobe? was. Her eyebrow quirked up when she thought about it, but continued to focus her voice on putting as many people between her and the scary man in the bathrobe.

She fled off stage, slipping off her shoes and grabbing a coat as she got inside.

"Alcinia! What's going--" came a voice to her right as she shoved past him, cutting him off. All she really wanted to do was put as much distance as possible between her and that man.

The siren sung to them as well, urging them to leave but through the main club entrances, merely increasing the amount of deadweight to block his path to her.

I won't let him get me, I won't let him get me...

She continued to shove past fellow performers and staff, heading for the nearest exit.

((Crap.. gotta remember what Zaniah was doing last now xd ))

Holding tight to the towel as she made her way to her room and changed into a pair of close-fitting, tough old jeans. The drow looked into the same mirror she had just two days ago, her life having been so much different and simple then.

After she had applied new, CLEAN bandages to her wound, she slipped on a bra and a plain red t-shirt, drying her hair with a quick ruffle of her towel. She came out of the room bare-foot, to find food on the table, and Cale sitting at the opposite side of the table. It was simple, just some pasta and tomato sauce, but it's importance was not lost on Zaniah... 'What the... he NEVER cooks..' came into her mind as she furrowed her brows. Blue-flecked ebony eyes looked on with caution as she settled herself at the small table with the man.

She started putting food on her plate, though not feeling especially hungry anymore as a thought popped into her head. 'This is the last meal I'm ever going to eat with him..' And on that note she had a very silent meal with him. Then, letting out a sigh she put her fork down and sat up straighter, facing him with a calm face.

"Cale, I'm going to be staying somehwere else tonight..." When the man grunted his aknowledgement, Zaniah went further.. "I'm not going to be coming back." She pushed away from the table and went back to her room. She grabbed a back-pack from her closet and began to stuff clothes and her 'tools' into it. She did not see Cale's shocked face, faintly heard the fork clatter to the marble floor, then the scraping of the chair against the floor and footsteps as she finished grabbing the last few things.

Her door flew open just as the drow had finished closing her back-pack. As he grabbed her arm and turned her around, she twirled suddenly and drove a deceptivly dainty hand into his gut. Coughing and gasping, he sunk to his knees and doubled over. The drow left the room with a determined look on her face, as if she was trying very hard no to let something show.

"DON'T try to stop me Cale, you'll understand someday. Don't forget to watch the news tonight.. Goodbye.." And with that, she was gone out the door, her helmet, keys, and jacket gone from their places and speeding off on her bike. She felt horrible, she had just hit Cale, and left him without giving any reason as to why she had left.

But she hid it all, under a stony glare and a stoic face, as she headed back towards the bar.
