Auren sat on the bench, listening to her. "The nightsky in Latera is diverse to say the least... Lots of blues and greens. Not much else though. The only place that I know that is Holy would be Katrynn, I suppose." he said. "Lots of temples, monasteries, and other places like that."
He sighed, knowing that he would never see his homeland again. If he did, the other Huscarl would instantly know he had mutated and they would be on him like wolves. Even being sane and reasonable wouldn't help. It was an ingrained instinct. Kill the creature before it goes berserk.
"I perfer Alvar, personally. You could always reach out and touch the stars on Alvar." Auren sighed and shook his head. "Oh well... Not like I'll ever see Latera again."
Auren really wanted to meet Vienna's father. Or find out what Vienna had seen and heard.

"Why can't you return? Do you not remember the way back?" she asked while laying into this shoulder and looking up at the stars, "Why did you leave in the first place? If I ever visited there... I don't think i could ever bring myself to leave."

"It's more complicated then that... I can't fly, and as far as anyone knows, there's no gate in Enthelda that leads back to Latera. Then we get into the whole issue where I am a monster. You and I know the truth but they don't. Huscarl can sense each other and when one turns into a monster or not. They would descend on me like a pack of wolves and tear me apart. That's the reason why I had left. Only one other Huscarl was there when I was forcibly transformed, and he's long gone. He also kept my secret to his grave. And I had left Latera as fast as I could."
He leaned his head against hers. "Oh well. No use dwelling on the past."

"I followed but I am under orders and I cant just abandon them a Shadow Demon's orders are enforced, I cannot refuse them." Kalas folded her arms "If u have not forgotten, I was attacked by your realms citizens and guards just because I asked for directions and defended myself. If you don't see the problem with that, then I am afraid I cannot help you. Sinis... Sinis isn't just exploring. I know he is up to something and i'd rather not know what it is..." Kalas looked around. "He is clsoe and I smell him. He is outside this town."

Guen stood in front of Kalas and hissed, "Look, I can't control their actions. I can only tell them to stop; It doesn't mean they'll listen. People are closed minded, they think everything is out to get them, apparently, and when they see someone... Different from them, they attack... i guess..." she scratched her head and rested a hand on her hip, "Is this making any sense? Anyways, what do you think Sinis is up to... He said he was going to the mountains of Rodasia last I talked to him... how he ended up here is beyond me..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "You're not a monster." Oriana protested as she sat up and turned around to face him, "In my mind the only type of monster anyone should ever be afraid of is the type that strikes horror in the heart of innocent people. Which you would never do... unless provoked..." she grinned at that last comment. She wrapped her arms around him and sighed, "Oh Auren... Don't say that about yourself anymore, because it's not true. "

"I beg to differ. You can't say what I look like when provoked isn't 'normal.' I am what I am and I can't change that. Nothing more. On the other hand, I am not a true monster. I just have the body of one. Do I consider my mind to be that of a monster? No." Auren smiled reassuringly, wrapping his arms around her.
He kissed the top of his head and sighed, his mind looking forward to the damn political reality of that their relationship couldn't last. And Auren did not think he was anywhere near close to marriage, or would be on the list of candidates, considering what his occupation was. Though he was certainly wealthy enough.
"Too bad this can't last because of the whole marriage idea." he muttered aloud.

Oriana looked up at him, "Well, tell my father that, and he can change it." she smiled and snuggled into his arms, "The only thing papa requires from a man is that we share loving feelings for each other. He already knows i can take care of myself, I proved that a while ago." She closed her eyes and listened to his heart beat, while thinking about the future they could build together. her father would be thrilled that she found a man that she loved so quickly. Love? I love him already? Her body stiffened and her eyes opened. Remember the last two times you thought you were in love... The first time the man used you, and took everything. The second time... The man didn't even live to the third day... either way, they both died. She stood up from the bench and stumbled backward. tears streamed from her face and she began trembling. "I-It's s-ssuddenly cold...I-I'm going to head inside f-for the night..." she stuttered as she held herself and shuffled toward the house.

Auren blinked at her, confused. Auren stood up quickly and followed her.
"Is something, wrong, love?" he asked worriedly, his wings flaring up a bit brighter.

She jumped, then looked up at him and smiled quickly, "No, I'm fine... Just a bit tired... Need some rest from past events... I still don't have much power left." Oriana tripped up the stairs and caught herself on the door. in a bit of a panic she turned around and tucked a lock of hair behind her ear, "umm... sorry this night ended so abruptly..." she leaned forward and kissed him softly, "I'm sorry..." she looked at him for a moment, biting her lower lip to hold her emotions in. She turned and opened the door, rushing inside and straight up to her room. Damir noticed her run through the hall and called after her, but she wouldn't stop. He looked down the hall and saw Auren still in the Stalls, "What happened?" he asked

"I'm... not entirely sure. I think events of the last few days have finally caught up to her." Auren said, perplexed. He sighed and shook his head, coming in. His wings died down, and for a brief moment, Damir got a good look at his dead wings before he hid them under the cloak. Composing himself, he walked in with a measured tread.
"Oh, and Damir? Don't worry about paying me anymore. And no, its not because Oriana discharged me. Just, don't worry about it. Alright?" he said while ascending the stairs to lean on the wall next to her bed, extending his senses.
It was going to be a long night.

Damir was lost for a moment as he watched Auren ascend the stairs to his daughter's bedroom, "So..." he slurred, "does this mean i pay this weeks, or not?" not bothering to care he stumbled back into the kitchen and continued drinking his brandy schnapps mix, making a toast to the man outside his daughter's room. Oriana barely got in her door before she spiraled down into deep thought. she spent hours pacing around her room, reading diary after diary, and recalling every time she fell in love with a man. The more she dug the more reluctant she was to even bother loving at all. eventually tears of frustration and fear took over and her pacing was accompanied by sobs, which then led to her door where she collapsed up against it and cried herself to sleep.

Auren was tempted to knock lightly on the door but thought that it was one of those times when he should not bother her.
Sighing heavily again, he shook his head, unsure what to do.

At the crack of dawn, Hali was up and on the prowl. she had been so distracted by her mother last night, that she hadn't got to see what Auren and Oriana had been up to last night... But she was sure Oriana wrote about it in her diary! She tapped lightly on Oriana's door, and when no one answered she tried to open it, but the door was stuck. She turned her side against the door and threw her body weight against the door, and heard a thud. the door opened a crack and Hali heard a groan, "Oriana, I'm coming in damnit, so clear the doorway." she stuck one foot in the crack of the door and sucked in to fit the rest of the way in; Turns out Oriana was the blockage... and she looked horrible... "Hells fire woman, What's wrong with you?!" Hali gasped as she scooped her older sister off the floor and guided her over to her bed. Oriana began sobbing something about love, but stopped when she was shushed by her sister, "Just relax Sweetie," Hali cooed as she brushed through Oriana's mangled hair with her fingers.

Auren wordlessly cracked an eye, saw it was Hali and didn't react at all. It was probably better for those two to talk amongst themselves, regardless of them knowing if Auren could hear them or not.
He silently went down the stairs after Hali went in and went to the kitchen to go to his second perch, so to speak, while quietly cleaning up after Damir's drinking last night.
Everything he did was stoically quiet. He was deep in his own thoughts and had an aura of not wanting to be disturbed.

 ~~~~Woah! Two Week Passed!~~~~~ Oriana was counseled by her sister, and soon back on her feet, and as strong as ever. Damir and Vienna got through their temporary problems, like they always do, and decided to go on vacation to Rodasia. Hali moved back to Aquious, Someone had to rule the other half, and is trying to solve issues of her own. And that about covers it. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Oriana just finished the final strokes of her third coat of paint in her new living room, He's right... This color does look nice in here. She thought as she placed the brush on the plate she was using for the paint. she sat down in her leather chair and closed her eyes to take a miniature catnap, before the movers came in with the furniture.
