Wait a minute. Didn't all the other things kind of dissolve when they died?
The Gearbox popped back onto its feet, popping axe blades out and advancing again.

"Sh-" Michael started, but cut himself off by reactivating the machine gun ring and starting the spray of lead back into the gearbox. "Down! Down, get down and stay down!" he roared furiously. This was just ridiculous.

The Gearbox rammed the barricade that formed around Michael. The Machine gun turned ethereal and stopped firing as the nest reformed itself. It swung an axe blade vertically at Michael.

Michael yelped in surprise and dismay, throwing himself best as he could to the side. He managed to turn it into a roll, but collapsed onto the ground at the end. "Hand up!" he shouted, wishing he had the pistol ring.

Jacobo formed the pistol in his hand and fired upon the Gearbox's joints.

The Gearbox stumbled a little as it tried to turn.

Marten groaned and grabbed Michael's hand, pulling him away from the Gearbox and forming his pistol. He began to fire back at the thing as he ran.

The Gearbox's gun hatch opened. The gun struggled to get through the opening, which refused to fully pull back.

Loud clanging sounds came from within the Gearbox. The gun and several of its legs went limp. It struggled to scoot to face them.

Marten decided to pull Michael to safety before going back to finish the Gearbox.

The Gearbox groaned as it tried to turn, but Marten got Michael to safety without incident. The Gearbox appeared to be mostly immobilized.
