Kiara's telepathic scense went into overdrive when she came within range of Vane. She groaned as his mental pain became her own. She threw up mental barriers to dull the blows and struggled to catch her breath. She rose to her full height and went to Vane's side. "Hey my little warrior," she said. She put a hand on his brow and felt for a fever. She sighed in relief when she found none.

Kiara was stunned. She felt his sincere feelings and also felt surprise radiating from his 'mother'. She threw a quick glance at her quickly and smiled down at Vane. "Why would I not?"

*He sits up more when he felt his pain vanish all the way.He hugs his mother.The only woman he known as his mother.Vane stands up a little then moved slowly and hugs her.He was friendly even though he was very shy*

Kiara froze. She felt Cobolt and Thom waiting for Vane to get burned at her touch. But for some strange reason, her inner fires calmed down and she had better control of them thatn she had ever had. She hasitantly layed a hand on Vane's back and returned his hug. Cobolt and Thom remained tense to jerk Vane away if she reheated.
