A howl echoed through the caverns. It reached the ears of Rosemary, Alya, Nam, and Kryxel with equal volume. The origin of the voice was not discernible, however.

The howl chilled the blood in Nam's veins, the smirk that had arisen on his face at Kryxel's words was now gone. Still and his heart pounding, trying to escape from his chest, Nam tried to ignore his fear and asked, "What with? I don't have any money or much else worth anything."

((breakfast, dinner and then tea!))
Alya followed Rosemary quickly shuddering at the sudden coldness of the caverns. She jumped when she heard the howl and looked at Rosemary
"do you know how long it is until dark?" She said looking at the stump of the candle they had left

"No idea," Rosemary replied, wandering around. Then, suddenly, she was gone, and echoing screams filled her place. The candle was dropped, however, so it rolled over to and revealing the girl-sized hole in the ground. It looked like a large slide, though there was no way to tell what lay at the bottom, however far away that was.
The predator crept through the caverns, glancing from side to side every now and then. It smelled... axe....

Alya heard the screams and her mouth opened wide as she crawled to the hole, picking up the candle
"Rosemary!" She cried out, scared and frightened as the candle gave out finally leaving her in darkness, even more scared
"Rosemary" She whispered

"Ack - don't come down!" Rosemary shouted up from wherever she was, the echoes finding their way up to Alya. "I'm ok! But... I'm... stuck." A brief pause, then a fit of giggling. "I'm stuck in a hole!"
Rosemary wondered what she would do now.
Screams attracted the attention of the creature. It swerved suddenly, never stopping movement but now heading in a different direction. Screams... food....

Alya giggled as well after Rosemary put it that way
"I'm scared, the candle's gone out" She said quietly not knowing what was going on around her or what was coming

A scream echoed through the corridors, reaching the small room of Nam and Kryxel. "Did you hear that?" Nam asked stupidly. It sounded like a small girl, probably that one he'd seen or the Duke's daughter. A stone of fear sank in his stomach and his blood ran cold as he took the things down from the door as he decided what to do. "Someone's in trouble," he explained, shaking as he turned the doorknob, hoping that Kryxel would come with him, though wouldn't blame him at all if he didn't. Every step would be a struggle on his own, but he went. No one would die if he could help it at all, which, he reasoned, he probably couldn't.

Rosemary sighed. Then a small yelp could be heard through the darkness. After a few moments, Rosemary announced, "I'm still all right. Just... fell...."
Actually, Rosemary was stuck inside the slide. It tapered to a point too thin for her to squeeze through - she would have to try and kick at the wall to get out of the closed space. Hopefully, the other side of the cavern wall was hollow.
"Maybe... you could call for help?" Rosemary said slowly, forcing her voice to show no fear. "You don't carry around any spare candles?"

"idiot" kryxel picked up the flashlight and followed nam and the girl.. rosemarys screams. he held the axe and patch in one hand ready to light and torch whatever was there.

Nam smiled and started after the sound of screaming that bounced off of the cavernous walls.

kryxel cut in front of nam and rounded the corner "oh hi alya...but i thought i heard rosemary here too." kryxel then saw the hole in the ground
"rosemary?"

Alya nodded nervously as she had jumped out of her own skin when they had appeared. She pointed to the hole in the ground gald of some light
"She's in there" She said giving a shiver, the caverns were very cold, or at least they were to her

Stephanie was picking at her food when she thought she heard something.
/Oh, I must be so hungry I'm hearing things./ she thought, /Wow, I wonder if I'll be able to find that passage again tomorrow.../
She started eating as she thought about where the staircase could lead. She hadn't really gone far because she had snoozed after the stair broke.
