Gar looked at Kon then looked at the man.
"Kon that man isn't going to wake up anytime soon. A day at least before he is conscious again. In the meantime we need rest."
He leaned back closing his eyes. He crossed his arms and propped his feet up on another chair.
"Kon you are too eager. We can only take our situation a day at a time, and this day is over. You need to heal and rest, and I need rest to be able to be on my feet for emergencies."
Gar planned on sneaking back up after the sun set to bury Mirage, but only if Kon was asleep. He didn't want to worry Kon about going out again. He also planned on taking Kon outside in the morning so that he could get Kon some real sun light for a few minutes before going back down to check on the assassin they had captured.

Kon's brow furrowed as he let out a heavy huff of air, only because he knew Garfield was right. He turned back and laid down. He closed his eyes and listened to the sounds from levels up. The waves against the small island, the coast birds calling to each other... the ambiance was constant and calm enough for him to fall asleep.

Gar waited for Kon to go to sleep. Although he also waited for nightfall. He periodically checked the time with his communicator and when he was sure it was dark he left the room. He avoided transforming being as quiet as possible he went up stairs and climbed out of the rubble. He walked over to where Mirage was and looked at her for a moment. Tears fell from his eyes as he walked over to the part of the island not covered in rubble. He dug a grave big and deep enough for mirage in the soft island dirt. He then walked back picking her up and carrying her to the hole gently laying her down. He stepped back and giving her a moment of silence before replacing the dirt over her.
After that was finished he walked over grabbing a slab of stone from the rubble and placing it flat over her grave.
"I'm sorry, I couldn't have saved you..."
He whispered. He didn't know what else to say other than she was a good friend, that she didn't deserve to die... she was a Titan and because of it her life was put into danger. The man will wish he was never born, but for now he wouldn't speak about the situation at hand. Gar went back down the moon center sky and sat down without ever having disturbed Kon or the unconscious man. He quickly went to sleep, resting for the next few hours that he could before the sun would rise again.
((I am not going into the details of what Gar did since I am sure he wouldn't even want to remember that he had to bury a friend sweatdrop ))

-Day 5-
Kon blinked awake. He didn't know what time it was.... he only knew that he had slept for at least a few hours; that's how he felt. He wasn't sure whether this meant it was day or night... Conner hadn't personally seen the surface, or the true extent of the Tower's destruction. He turned his head to see Gar sitting in the chair next to him... and the man against the wall.

Castel finally woke up with a splitting headache. It took a moment or two before his vision began to clear, and he found himself bound and gagged. After looking around and listening, he determined that he was alone at the moment. The assassin guessed that he was underground from the ambient temperature compared to the sound to the generators on the same level. Carefully, Castel began to work his way out his his bonds...

Gar's ears perked when he heard Kon move. Although Gar was trying to rest he had a hard time trying to sleep with everything that was on his mind. He looked over at Kon after checking the time on his Communicator.
"Kon I think we should go outside. You need some real sunlight, and there are a few other things we need to do on the surface."
He stood up putting his arms in the air and stretching. He let out a gasp as he leaned forward trying to get ready for the hike up through the wreck of the place. He looked over at Kon to see if he was ready to go as well.
"We need to be careful, and it's been awhile since you have last walked anywhere so we need to take it easy k."

Kon was sitting at the edge of the 'bed' by the time Gar had said his last sentence.
"Ready."
He still watched the unmoving assassin...
So it was time to go. Kon slowly pulled himself off the table and his feet touched the floor for the first time in months... he was stable, at least enough to boost his confidence a little.

"Let's go."
Gar walked out the door leaving it open for fresh air to come in. He walked up the stairs quietly with Kon following behind.
He turned the top corner of the last flight of stairs before they reached the surface. Around the corner a small beam of sunlight shown through and Gar could hear the sound of seagulls. He took a deep breath smelling the ocean air that blown down a little. He looked back at Kon to see if he was able to keep up easily enough.
"We have to make our way around some rubble and climb through. It's a pretty tight fit but it's manageable. Are you ready Kon?"

Conner kept up well, at least for the first time walking in a while. The sounds from the surface steadily grew clearer as they continued up the stairway. They arrived at a breach of sunlight, and Kon nodded to Gar. He was rearing to go.

Gar climbed forward through the mess of things with Kon not far behind. He paused in a few places and pointed to parts of the rock that was too loose or would fall if you grabbed it and showed Kon how to avoid it. He then came to the end pulling himself out and standing strait up near the entrance of the mess. It wasn't too long and they were out but that might of took a lot of energy out of Kon. He bent over holding his hand out to help Kon up.
"Your good."

Kon gladly accepted the help as he was pulled to his feet. He could feel the warm morning sunlight giving him energy as they stood, the bright San Fransisco peering behind the city. Conner's head tilted back, his eyes closed as he enjoyed the moment.
Then he opened his eyes.
The Tower was in ruins, and no amount of sunlight could dampen the blow of the sight. Kon took slow steps through the destruction, barely believing that anything could have created such a crater where the Tower used to stand tall.

"Oh, Kon I need to show you something follow me"
Quickly Gar transformed into a Canary flying towards where he had found the memorial that Star had carved into. It's one of the first things that Kon had to see. He fluttered his wings paused and looking back before flying towards the slab of rock.

Kon found himself to be jogging after the small bird. Maybe he stretched it, because by the time he stopped where Gar had landed, he was already tired. Conner's eyes set upon the stone as he read what was carved. After several moments, he looked at Garfield.
"Last...of the Titans."
Kon looked away, down to Starfire's signature at the bottom of the slab of rock.

Gar flew down transforming into a human and landing next to Kon with a pwf to the ground. He stood strait up and looked at him.
"I think that maybe... We should add something to here. Maybe our initials."
Gar suggested looking at Kon and then at the stone. He wanted to add something, that a titan would know, so that they knew that Kon and Gar was alive but without actually saying it was them.

Kon knelt next to the stone, and brushed his hand over the surface. There was plenty of room under Starfire's 'signature' to do something... he wasn't quite sure what.
