Auren cursed his luck. He was supposed to be on frakking vacation repairing the harm that that b***h Savannah caused, not trying to fight two... probably three Huscarl, where was number three, anyways? And now he had this damn Shield Einherjar occupying his time.

Auren couldn't batter through the opposing Huscarl's defenses. The man was too quick, too tough, and wasn't getting tired. The Einherjars continued to duel, sparks flying in every direction as blade met blade... with the ringing impacts echoing through the area.

The way it sounded, it was like someone was trying to jackhammer through a bell.

Avel nodded once to the sniper Valkyrie, who immediately aimed at Auren's back, pulled back on the longbow that was as long as she was tall, and let loose with a single arrow, a high pitched whistling noise announced the arrow's flight and was right on target. Rayleth dodged out of the way, like a viper as Auren found himself flying forward, watching a black streak implant itself into the building nearby. Looking down with a bit of shock, he now had a ragged hole that he could stick his hand through in his chest.

Auren took two steps forward, trying to balance himself on the percipience of the building before following off unceremoniously, landing with a crash in the street. Unmoving.

Avel drifted down and landed in front of the downed Huscarl. Looking back, Rayleth dropped down from the edge of the building.

"Is he dead yet?" the Einherjar rumbled.

"He's about to die." Avel said as she prepared a coup de grace on Auren.

Arvanna watched helplessly, she had watched Auren for weeks and knew he was the exact opposite of what the true monsters preached. Auren wasn't like what they had described. Not at all.

"No... please don't..." she croaked, not realizing she spoke the native language.

Kaiser looked on helplessly, trying to will himself into action, to save the man who killed him for his own good.

C'mon Kaiser, Now or ******** never! he screamed at himself as he willed his body into moving.

The two Huscarl looked back at Oriana then at eachother, confused. Why was this woman coming to the rescue of this monster?

"Is she mad?" asked Rayleth to Avel.

"I'm... not sure. Is she? She seems pissed off though." Avel responded, distracted by Oriana.

"Well, the Sage didn't listen to you, so maybe she can translate or something." Rayleth suggested.

Avel nodded, then pointed to Arvanna who froze in her tracks like a caught deer. "Sage, come here and translate." Avel commanded. Arvanna meekly came and stared at the ground.

"What's her problem? Doesn't she see that the monster needs to be killed?" Avel asked Arvanna.

Arvanna shook her head. "From what the woman's sister said, they're engaged and on vacation." said meekly

Avel snorted derision "Is that so? Tell them that this thing is a monster and needs to be killed and that they have obviously been tricked by it.""


Arvanna turned to Oriana hestiantly, "...The Lady Avel says that the former Huscarl is a monster and needs to be put down and that... you have been tricked by it."

Arvanna relayed Oriana's words.

Avel burst out laughing. "Sure, little girl." she said derisively. "Sage," she said with the utmost scorn. "If you make up one more little fairytale like that, I will see to it that you will never be allowed to leave your academy again. Understand?" she scolded Arvanna

"But, Lady Avel... She didn't sound tricked!" Arvanna protested.

Auren stirred, his body slowly pulling itself back together. He started to get to his hands and knees, not at all focused on the fact that there were two Huscarl above him. He could feel that Oriana was close, and he wanted to see her, hold her.

Rayleth planted a boot on Auren's back and forced him back down.

Kaiser looked Hali with a devastated look. "Hali, I can't do anything that would put any of them at risk, either Auren or your sister. I'm sorry."

Arvanna looked at Avel with a pleading look. "Lady Avel, I don't think she's kidding. She's a very powerful spellcaster. She can do things that I can't... and I'm considered powerful for us!"

Avel growled and backhanded Arvanna non-nonchalantly, knocking the girl to the street.

Rayleth was thrown off and rolled with the hit, landing on his feet in a crouch despite his injury, it sealing before their eyes. The armor wasn't a part of him and therefore didn't.

Avel looked at Rayleth and then back at Oriana with a growl.

Arvanna repeated what Oriana said and Avel sighed. "Such a waste." she muttered as her sword started vibrating again. She was done dealing with this fool ice caster and intended to kill her right here, right now, then to kill the damn monster that was semi-conscious.

Avel raised her sword to swiftly execute Oriana, finally ready to finish this matter.

Kaiser balled his fists and shape shifted into the grey and black tiger, roaring with rage and pounced on Avel, biting into her neck.

This didn't come without cost, as Avel didn't fall over with the six hundred pound beast on her. She grabbed Kaiser by the head and jabbed a thumb into the shape shifter's eye, putting it out.

She then over the shoulder threw Kaiser, dumping the wounded beast into the street where he growled and thrashed in pain.

Avel was dead on impact with the wall, the corpse twitching once or twice.

Rayleth survived somewhat, his crumpled form was busy trying to stitch itself back together.

Arvanna started crying instantly, smelling of fear as she really, really didn't want to die like this.

"Y...yes..." she wheezed out between sobs and Oriana's choke hold. She kicked futile, her body wanting to do something but it had no idea what other then to grab at Oriana's black ice hand and try to pull it away from her throat.

Auren blinked as he managed to stand up slowly and examined the carnage. Limping over to Oriana, he touched her shoulder. "Oriana, hey, hey... settle down. Leave her alone. She's just a sage, she's harmless. Okay? Easy..." the Huscarl cooed to her.

Layselez appeared at the top of the building where Rayleth and Auren dueled and aimed her longbow at her and the Huscarl, pulling back on the massive bow, screaming at the top of her lungs

"DROP HER. RIGHT NOW."

Kaiser looked up with one eye at Hali helplessly, reverting back to his humanoid form and clutching his missing eye.

The Sword Huscarl pulled back further on her bow, releasing that deadly diamond tipped shaft. The arrow gave a slight howl then stopped as Auren threw himself bodily in front of Oriana, the arrow punched clean through him yet was diverted enough that it went into the ground rather then through Oriana.

The Huscarl slumped to the ground motionless again.

Arvanna slid to her knees and bawled her eyes out, the naive girl completely unused to the very violent going ons of the Realms.

Kaiser stopped writhing in pain as the water poured into his ruined eye.

"Don't... don't worry about it..." he said quietly, letting her cry on his shoulder. "Things like this are bound to happen one way or another. 'Sides, would you reeeally want to go looking for my eye? Do you know how gross that would be to find it if was actually pulled out?" the Shapeshifter said, trying to comfort Hali.

Oriana smiled and the ice that was once on the roof came up around her and lifted her from the roof. The ice quickly closed, so she couldn't fly away, and she was stuck in a hollow glacier.

"Should have left while you were still alive you stupid b***h."

The walls of the glacier began slowly closing in on her until her body was closed tightly against the ice. The ice continued to push tighter and tighter, by now it was impossible to breathe; bones began cracking slightly.

Hali laughed slightly through the tears, "I'd just look at the task ahead and suck it up...But i would wash my hands thoroughly afterward."

she saw what her sister was up to and saw Auren on the ground, "Oh no... what happened now..." she looked back at Kaiser and knelt beside him. She stuck out her tongue and narrowed her eyes. the snow turned to ice and formed a cup shape. her hands tensed, and the cup began to harden. she clenched her eye lids tight and the glass began turning to ice. after a few minutes it hardened fully, and her vision was spinning. she got more snow and turned it to water as she filtered it through her fingers it began to sparkle, "Drink this slowly... i'll be back after i help Auren." she handed the glass to Kaiser, picked up her trident, and ran Auren's aid.

Just as Oriana was about to finish that stupid b***h off she got a Trident stuck in her arm. she looked over and the pressure of the walls released slightly. after yanking the trident out of her arm, she tossed it back to her sister, who snached it out of the air and said, "If you want me to heal your fiancee, no more killing..."

Oriana frowned and grumbled, "Fine... I'll just break all of her bones instead." just as she said it the ice orb walls crushed her legs and arms, then dropped her gravely suffering body back to the roof.

Hali put her hand over his wounds and used the soft bed of snow underneath auren as her water source. she filtered it and transfered her healing properties into it. she then flossed the water through his wounds and watched as they slowly began to shrink, from the middle out.

Oriana knelt down beside him and brushed through his hair with her long icy nails, "Auren... you crazy man... The arrow wouldn't have harmed me." She wanted to hold him, Kiss him, cuddle him, but knew that if she did... she would probably kill him, from how cold she was.
