WTF? You just perfectly descirbed the ending to Warrior of Light! What's that you ask? A story I'm currently making. Although, the main charceter doesn't die right off the bat. BTW, Kath is the nessecary dark guy of various shady background who only joins the team because he hates the villian.

I'm not sure. The guy that gets fanatical about comedic things throughout the game, and is actually pretty powerful, and always there to help out. Light hearted though, he's not the hardened anti-hero, or mysterious type.

The Ninja that does battle with the other ninja. No one knows who is the good one, but they both end up joining the party.
Along the way they keep trying to kill eachother, but promise that when the mission is over, they will have their final fight.
