Andi:
"It's not so much what they have to do with each other," Andi says as she opens the box and pulls out a drawing, done in a childish hand, of a conical, bump covered creature with a rounded top and a stalk eye, "as what they have to do with me." There appear to be more such drawings in the box, along with a number of spiraling images that are harder to discipher.

"Like I said earlier, when the Earth moved last year, and all those planets were in the sky, I recognized the creatures that decended upon us. They said that they were called Daleks. But I knew that already. They were the creatures of my nightmares. They always have been." After staring off into forever for a moment she shakes herself and continues. "And then they were gone. The Earth moved back and it was like it never happened...Except for the people they took...The people they killed...."

Suddenly, all of Andi's attention is on something she has uncovered in the old box. Transfixed, she pulls out an old pocket watch, dangling from a long chain, covered in circles and symbols on one side.
"I had almost forgotten." she says as she clasps the watch between her hands and leans her forehead on her thumbs. Her eyes are closed and she almost looks like she's listening to something. As she sits back up and opens her hands to look at it she continues, "It's like I was...waiting...or it was. I don't know, it's just..." As she speaks she releases the catch on the watch.

Kathryn reaches out, alomst crying as her husband pulls her close.
"Andi wait- "

But it's too late for that. The watch is open.

((Iris awakens just in time for the fireworks! Fantastic! Nearly there folks. thanks for putting up with all that.
Oh yeah, if you were wondering, the spiral drawings are young Andi's attempts at depicting the Time Vortex. They're a little confused because, not only is it nearly impossible to do that, her human mind can't even properly comprehend it.))

Andi doesn't really notice Iris, or anything else but her watch really. There is a swirling, golden light come out of it. In the mist and the light there are pictures, sounds, smells...She can see a great city under and orange sky, and she can hear a voice coming from within it. Her own voice, younger but somehow so full of knowledge. It's singing. Calling to her. Waiting for her.I f she can only find it....There!

When she turns her eyes back to the rest of the room something has changed. She seems to be somehow more than she was and yet... younger almost. There's a youth about her that's incongruous with the knowing in her eyes.

"Almost. You see Professor, I really am the age that I look. I was only 10 when Master Thiren brought me here. At this point, I've been human longer than I've been a Time Lord. It was the War. No one really knew how it was going to end and several civilizations had already been wiped out. He was just trying to protect us. Like London during the Blitz. They sent the children to the country to protect them from the bombing. He thought he'd be coming back for us though. Professor, what happened? How did the War end?"

"Well from what I gathered from my other self was that the timelords are gone but I managed to get more information, not much but just enough to know that the timelords and daleks were suppose to be gone but I guess you were one of the survivors like the daleks have." The Professor told her wondering if he should investigate the war more. "How much do you know about the war?"

The Doctor stumbled back out into his TARDIS. "Damn elarians." he muttered, regaining himself.

"I can't believe I got stuck back there and the others had to go on ahead--"
The Doctor cut off, noticing for the first time that he was alone.

"Oh." said the Doctor to himself. "Well, I suppose it was the most likely thing to do." He stepped up to the center of the TARDIS, pushed a few nobs and buttons and selected his next destination.

Iris looked over to Andi's mother. "I'm so sorry for this ma'am." She went over to the older woman to hug her. "I know what it's like to see something like this." She was thinking of her own mother, who Kathyn kind of reminded her of.

Iris shook her head. "Wait, you taught? I didn't-" Iris thought about it for a moment. "Oh yea, I remember now. Your voice must have been very soothing. I think I actually had coffee that day."
