Shane smiled, a sneaking suspicion that he was about to be tested in the back of his mind "Well, it's fairly straightforward in behavioral traditions, as well as the whole Alpha, Beta thing" he opened the door for Saiya letting her choose to enter first or not "But body language is a little harder to read unless you're in wolf form.." he shrugged and waited.

She arched an eyebrow at his easy acceptance of her Alpha status. She smirked and nodded her thanks as she entered. The guy behind the counter gave a nearly unnoticeable sniff and glared at the girl. Saiya snorted in his direction and glared back. It only took seconds before he went back to reading his book. She quickly got what they came for and went to the counter. She purposly brushed against Shane within the man's view.
The man arched an eyebrow but simply started ringing out the purchases. "34.58 Saiya." She handed him the money. "Gabriel is still angry with you." Saiya snorted and moved her hand when he tried to brush against it with his. "Gabriel can rot. He's no pack of mine." The man narrowed his eyes as he dropped the change in her hand without touching her. "No one's your pack." He smirked at her curled lip. "Must be lonely." He smirked as he pushed the bag towards her. "Not lonely enough for you to have a chance in hell." She said with a smirk of her own as he let out a growl and she grabbed the bag turning her back on him. She made her way out of the store and looked to Shane. "And what did we understand?"

Shane kept a straight face, even though inside he was laughing hysterically "Well, I'll say it now, that was fairly easy to read, even if I hadn't read your book" he smiled as he followed slightly behind her "There was plenty of tension there, some due to the fact that he's obviously jonesing for a peice of a--, then you having other plans" he stuck his hands in his coat pockets, relaxing a little more now that there wasn't a fairly big werewolf within arms reach of him "The touching, a sign of affection, correct?" he asked, glancing at Saiya for confirmation.

"And protection in your case." She said as she fished a piece of jerky out of the bag. "Consider it like marking your territory, only without the peeing." She said making a face. She bit of a hunk of jerky and chewed it as she considered it. "Him touching me was an attempt to state to you he had claim. Which he doesn't. The first part when we walked in was a forced acknowledgment of my Alpha status. Most of the local pack don't think I should have that status since I'm considered a runt. But as our nice little friend back there pointed out, I'm not part of a pack so I'm automatically an Alpha." She offered him a piece of jerky from the pack as she took another piece.

Shane nodded, accepting the jerky as he spoke "Well, that does make sense, being an Alpha if you don't have a pack. It allows those who aren't happy with the current pack to switch if they preferred the other..." he stared at the jerky for a minute "Runt huh? You seem fairly un-runtish to me.." he said absently, biting the jerky.
Mathis stumbled down the side-walk, laughing and singing the bawdy drinking song again. He was headed for Kay's place, more for a place to crash that was nearer to Moe's Bar than his own little corner of the Alley.
"sChug the bottle, mount the shaddle, la deda la deda..." he giggled and bleated as he nearly fell on his face. He'd grabbed a light-pole just before he'd tripped. He stared at it blearily, wondering why his head was so fuzzt "Dammit..." he muttered drunkenly. He slammd his head into the pole, leaving a good sized dent in it as he stumbled off, his head worse than before.

Saiya laughed. "You've never seen a normal Were. Frankie back there is average height for a Were. 6' 5" At least for a male, 5' 11" at least for a female in human form. I top off at a whopping 5' 2" in human form. In wolf form I'm just as small by comparison. You'll get to that part in the book."
She groaned as a scent came to her on the wind. "Mathis is smashed again." She sighed as he came around the corner. "Been having fun without me again I see." She laughed as he stumbled and swayed. She shoved the bags at Shane and grabbed Mathis, steadying him. "How about we take this party up to Kay's hmmm. I think I saw a couple beers in the fridge." She said as she motioned for Shane to go ahead through the door so he could push the button for the elevator while she made sure Mathis didn't kill the walls again.

Shane looked at the drunken drummer, curious as to how much it took to make him stumble around and start singing off key in such a manner. He shrugged and went inside.
Mathis smiled at Saiya idiotically "Hey Shaiya, how'sh it goin?" he picked her up easily in a bear hug "Shuch a cute little were-puppy" he stumbled and almost fell, but he did let go of Saiya, throwing his arms wide to steady himself like a tight-rope walker.

Saiya yelped as she landed roughly on the tiled floor. "If you weren't drunk I'd punch you for that." She informed Mathis as she shoved him backwards into the now open elevator. She cringed when he dented the wall with his head. "I'm so not paying for that." She said to Shane as she kicked Mathis' foot out of the way and shoved Shane it. "I'm too sober for this." She commented as she pushed Kay's floor.
Once the doors opened she pushed Shane out, grabbed Mathis by one of his hooves and started dragging him down the hall. "Way to sober for this." She motioned for Shane to open the door. "We're back and we brought a present." She said as she dragged Mathis in enough that the door could be closed and then stepped over him taking the bag from Shane as she entered.

Kay sighed when Saiya entered with Mathis in tow. Smoothly standing up he glided over to Mathis, easily lifting him up and slinging him over his shoulder as if he were a child he headed toward the kitchen. "I'll make the coffee..."

Saiya smirked as she threw Rick's pocky at him. "I got a better idea. I know what'll sober him up." She took him from Kay and walked over to their practice area and set him in his seat behind his drums. She picked up her base and strapped it on before tossing Mathis his drum sticks. She set a base for Mathis to follow "Come on drunky follow the leader." She laughed.

Kay laughed as he grabbed his guitar and slung it on. He added a fast paced melody to match, doing a spin kick in slow motion he hit the cymbals trying to startle Mathis awake. "Come on goat boy, think you can keep up?" he teased, trying to get Mathis ralied up as he started embelishing the melody.

Saiya rolled her eyes as she matched his pace with her base. "And don't sing till you sober up! You make my ears bleed when you're drunk." She warned.

Shane smiled Hey, a private look into the practice of Dark Nova he chuckled as he saw Rick pounce on his pocky and sit infront of one of the speakers. Hannah shook her head and settled on the couch, as did Shane.
"Mmmmmm, pockyyyyyyy, nurrrrrrr" Rick munched on a stick of pocky, listening to the half-band. They were still missing their singer and the keyboarder wasn't joining in.
Mathis looked at his drumsticks "Whooo, time to play!" he bleated and tapped on his head a little, then bounced a stick off of the single snare "Shushhhhhh" he giggled and made the 'shush' sign with his finger in front of his mouth. He did play though, even with the drink affecting him.
