Brindle watched her ambush hunters go. It would be difficult without Calyn as a second runner, but she would have to manage. Creeping slowly away from the forest she came upon the herd they had been tracking. A group of Oryx, great antelope the size of small horses, with sandy coats and markings on their white faces. Each animal was equipped with a pair of long, sharp horns that curved neatly over their backs. Carefully Brindle scanned the herd, looking for any sign of weakness among the grazing beasts. Suddenly luck found her as she spotted an older male who was wheezing slightly. The problem was, he was in the middle of the group. She would have to deliberately spook the herd to even have a chance of singling him out. Carefully she picked her way over the hill and around to put the herd directly between herself and the ambush. Then, taking a deep breath she stood up. Those who saw her first started and shied away, moving slowly to her left and the open plains where they could out run her. She began to pad forward, her eyes never moving from her target. The oryx eyed her, its wheezing growing worse with stress. Like lightning it bolted, breaking away from the herd. Perfect. Brindle was after it like a shot. Herding it slowly towards the trees. It turned and feinted, trying to confuse her but the tigress would not be shaken. Finally it relented and galloped toward the trees, where it sought protection in the thick underbrush. Brindle slowed but followed, waiting to help her ambush hunters if they needed it.
Zephre chuckled at the cub's question. "Moves? Well, lets see if I can remember what my father taught me...thank you, Jasper." He was touched that the cub would say so, taking the opinions of children very highly as they were known for honesty. "Maybe," here he spoke softly again, but directed his voice at the den leader so she could hear him. "Maybe we could beg Bianca to let us play outside...then I can show you all I know."

Cirro ran with the other ambushers, Mira close behind him. The subordinat glanced at the others, and flicked his ears, before followed Seph. He saw the tree the snow leopard was heading for, and quickly followed, tail twitching. The clouded leopard unsheathed his claws, leaping for the trunk and beginning to climb it swiftly, reaching a low branch thick with leaves. He crawled along the bough until he found a good spot, near Seph, able to see the trodded ground below him - once the Oryx Brindle had singled out ran beneath them, the ambushers would be able to drop down and take it down. Cirro settled down to wait, his tail helping with his balance, his large clouded markings camoflaging him among the foliage.
Jasper glanced up, turning from Konya to Zephre, bright eyes eager. He opened his mouth, about to say something, but then closed it again, deciding he could ask questions after Bianca had allowed them to go. If she allowed them to go.
Sahari peered over Daniel's shoulder over to glance from Zephre to Bianca. Her tail flicked and she shrugged, gesturing to her leader that she didn't mind if they were let out. She slowly dislodged herself from Daniel's side and padded over to the den's entrance, quickly looking around; it was pretty quiet, actually. Of course, that did not rule out any ambush, but the silence was one familiar with this sleepy mid-morning, not one of an unnatural setting.

Mira scurried up the tree after them. She found another branch, lower than the others. She perched on the edge of the branch, muscles bunching under her skin. The tip of her tail flicked back and forth. She planned on useing her favorite method, instead of leaping onto the creature she would position herself so that she could simply drop down and land on it. When it came into view she would hang from her back feet from the tree limb, using her tail as balance. If the creature was big enough she would grab ahold of it before dropping from the tree.

Kiros ran into the forest just as his fellow ambush hunters did. Without stopping he took a giant leap and landed in a tree that would most deffinately allow the first attack on the unknowingly Oryx. He settled a little and waited. It wasn't to long befor he could hear Brindle chasing the Oryx into the forest and so he became relaxed but alert at the same time.

Konya chuckled at jasper and let him go. "That might be fun for the cubs as long as they don't get in trouble, what do you think Bianca." She layed her head between her paws, looking at the den leader. A few of the cubs that were 'attacking' her climbed on her head or went over to Zephre. "Lets go outside, lets go outside." They kept bugging him about it.

"If it is still light out when the hunters return, yes, we can go out. But, until then, stop asking," Bianca said with a hint or motherly annoyance.
Looking outside the den, Bianca watched off into the distance.

(Terribly sorry if I shouldn't. But I have to take it to get back in, and sorry for being gone so long. I was waiting for the council thing to be over and then I got distracted and yeah....)
Armine was booking it through the trees. He'd overslept again. "Damn youngin's. Never bein' able to wake one old cat for a hunt. Don't they have any respect for there elders?" Raced through his head almost as fast as he was running. He was glad to be a cheetah, they were great. He could smell the other hunters that had passed through before him. And he knew what the usual plan was. There was an ambush in some part of the forest, most likely the direction he was coming from. Strangely convenient, but he liked it.
He could see everyone waiting in the trees, and oryk coming at them. The trees had parted perfectly for him. It was practically a miracle, now he'd show those damn youngsters. He sped up a little, judging his timing. Just as the prey started to jump the first barrier of brush, Armine leapt, jumping from his running position. He had timed it pretty close to just right. His claws reached out and his teeth were bared. The eyes of the oryk bugged out in fear. Armine's lit up in joy. "Take that you youngsters." Armine thought as he tackled the oryk out of the air, his teeth clamped onto it's throat. He twisted before they even hit the ground and Armine landed upright, holding the oryk from rolling more. He let the limp head fall to the ground, "You guys couldn't do that? Or wake me up?" Armine looked upset, but he was feeling good. Proud. Mentally laughing at the younger cats.

Cirro leapt from the bough he crouched on, onto the limb below him, on which the leafs hid Mira from view. He simply nodded to Armine's catch, eyes bright but emotionless. He was slightly disappointed he hadn't been able to help, but he didn't speak up. His tail twitched, and he glanced at his friend, their mottled pelts blending together, they were so close together. He noticed this and shifted away slightly, eyes slipping from Mira's back to Armine's. The Clouded Leopard wondered where Brindle was; were they to catch more prey? Or was this it? He frowned thoughtfully, thinking over this instead of asking.
Jasper frowned, disappointment owning his face. He opened his mouth to whine, but then closed it; Bianca had told them not to ask anymore. INstead, he turned and trotted back to his mother, settling by her forepaws. "I'm bored," he complained in a low tone, nose twitching twice, the movement making his whiskers flicker.

Mira had to physicaly and mentaly hold herself back and pull herself back onto the branch. Her bunched muscles didn't losen and she pulled her lip back, growling a little. She had wanted to help not just stand by. Her attention shifted to Cirro, she could feel him next to her on the branch and felt him shift away. She glanced at him breifly before shifting on the branch and glaring at Armine.

Kiros said nothing as he lept down from the tree he had been waiting on. He was dissapointed that he did not get to provide his skills to the hunt but was also slightly angery at Armine for ruining a perfectly good ambush by showing off. Kiros usually had the utmost respect for Armine as he was a skilled and decorated hunter, but he was very dissapointed that Armine had let his childish ambishions to outdo the younger cats. Kiros simply walked away keeping his eyes to the ground heading to where Brindle would be coming from.

Without a word or a sound, Seph leap from the branch he had been waiting on. Not onto the ground like the others, but instead he'd chosen to pounce on Armine with enough force to knock the old cat over! for paws over the cat he bit his ear, somewhat playfully "Dang you old bag of bones! I was looking forward to this as you ruined it!" He said, moving his head to make it look like he was tearing at the old cats ear.
((Finally caught up...sorta, so I'm back))

Kiros stopped and whirled around to see Seph pounce on Armine. He quickly dashed and pushed, mor like tackled, Seph off of the old cat. He pinned Seph to the ground with his puma strength. "Show more respect Seph." He said as he let up and stepped away from his comrade. He turned and started to walk his previous route.

Seph just stuck his tongue out in the direction of Kiros "Why show respect to someone who hasn't earned it?" He stated rather then asked. Letting his tail flick near the tip a moment and lazing back to see if he could spot Brindle coming yet, he yawned slightly. After that he just rolled onto his feet, stood up, and waited patiently. Brindle was coming this way anyways, might as well just wait for her, besides, not like they could leave the kill behind to meet up with her.
