Colche and Aubrey Reunion!

One day was like any other for the blue eyed cheetah girl, that was the way she liked it though, life being exactly the same. In a way, she had isolated herself from the rest of the world that she had once known almost frightened to join in this group of people whom she didn’t know. Her small family had vanished in the haze of these people and she barely spoke to anyone any more. Since leaving her duplex behind, really the only people she had spoken to were Richard and Jordan, they were two people she liked and trusted, which made for short, though interesting conversations.

Sitting upon the pale sands, her dark tipped ears twitched a she listened to the rolling waves as they kissed the sand, she wondered when Richard would show up today for her lesson, she wondered if she should go and wander across to see Jordie again, she contemplated nothing and everything in a quick moment only to fall back on the sand with a content sigh and a scratch at the cast upon her leg. Said cast had become very raggedy now and it wouldn’t be too long before her black claws had ripped it off completely. The pain there had almost entirely ceased and she knew soon e
she would be able to run again, which delighted her. The last thing on her mind strangely was the woman whom had rescued her, though she always kept a thought for Aubrey, she knew she was busy, the islands population was huge now, so many new people that had been rescued.

The sound of an all-terrain vehicle could be heard in the distance. Bigger and more intimidating than the typical Jeeps, they were slower, but covered. One rumbled rather close, up on the sand. There were two guards that got out first, looking around before finally nodding at the last passenger inside.

Aubrey stepped out, taking a deep breath of the fresh beach air, her long hair blowing in the wind. She wore a pair of khaki capris and a purple shirt that was barely covering an expanded belly. She gave a warm welcome smile to her freind in the distance.

Her ears perked as she heard the noise in the distance. It was unusual for anything to come out here. In fact she hadn’t seen a jeep for a long time. Sitting slowly she watched as the big burly looking guards got out and she tilted her head curiously. Any other islander would probably have worried about guards but Colche, well nothing much worried her about the island in general. She was just about to lie down and go back to her dreaming when Aubrey stepped out of the van.

Cast or no, she was up on her foot paws faster than s**t off of a shovel, bolting towards Aubrey with her arms open. “Mommy!” she yelled at the top of her lungs, which was a strange sound from her throat so unused to shouting, or even speaking much of late. Tears rolled down her cheeks and she ignored the pain in her leg to reach her mother figure.

Aubrey flung her arms around Colche's neck, stumbling a bit before the force of impact and sandy footing caused Aubrey to back onto her bum. She caught herself enough that it didn't hurt, Aubrey just cuckles and ruffled up the fur of Colche's shoulders. "Hey there, kiddo," she said, sweeping the black hair out her face.

Colche puured loudly as she held tightly to Aubrey, her nose burying in to the older womans arms. “notseenforevernevernevernever” she mumbled, her words muffled by the purple shirt and her tears. She wanted to ask where Aubrey had been, she wanted to ask what had happened, she wanted to know why things had changed, but she let the questions escape her happy that she had come to see her, even after such a long time.

It didn’t escape Colche though that Aubrey was looking fatter than usual. She didn’t question that either though simply looking at the lady admiringly, a child who’d found her mother again.

"I'm so sorry its been a long time. I've been busy." She scratched her ears lovingly. "But thats no escuse. I've missed you!"

Colche smiled weakly looking at the lady she loved like a mother, the woman whom she considered her true and real rescuer. She sniffled, wiping her eyes on her arm fur as she looked at Aubrey, trying to get the smile to grace her lips again, which it was but the smile was a sad one. “I missed too.” She whispers through her crocodile tears. “is okay/” she looked at the auburn haired femme with a questioning glance. She had started to think that maybe Aubrey wasn’t well, or had been attacked again, or one of those other million things that were unmentionable and unthinkable to the little cheetah girl. “You busy, s’ok” she smiles again, trying to hide the slight disappointment I her voice. Perhaps it was her fault to, even Richard said she was hard to find these days. “I’m sorry, I’m nots duplex no more” she paused for a moment looking down trodden and guilty. “Hard find”

"Why don't you live there anymore, Colche," Aubrey asked, stroking back her long hair. "Its the best way I can take care of you. Because even though I can't be with you all the time, if you're in the duplex, I can watch you always."
Syrius Lionwing: Colche moved uncomfortably. She'd never acctually spoken to anyone about why she didn't like it there any more, but this was Aubrey, not just anyone. She played with the sand at her paw tips for a moment, her hair flowing over her cheeks to hide her expression. "Cause 'o' bunny" her reply was short and clipped, her ears flattened tightly against her head and she peered at the woman sadly, she almost felt bad that she had once berated zach for hurting Aubrey when she had killed her little furry friend. It hurt and she was frightened to return there, even after all these months.
Samantha Blaire: Aubrey pursed her lips a bit. "That wasn't the duplex's fault, Colche. It would be okay."
Syrius Lionwing: "don't likeit" She said in one swift sentence, she was frightened that if she went back there her bunny would still be there, never able to look at her again. "Scary now, I make bad" she twitched her tail blinking away the tears that threatened to start falling again. She had done somethign wrong and she didn't like it, she feared the place, not because she didn't think of it as home, just because she had domne something horrible there, something she didn't think she could do.

"Like beach, is purty, live here, happy" she nodded a little, the beach was a lonely place, she could be isolated out here yet she was still able to access the villiage, she didn't have a roof over her head, but with no rain in sight at the moment, that was the last thing on her mind
Samantha Blaire: "Whatever makes you happy..." Aubrey said, comforting her. "But Colche isn't bad. You aways remeber that."
Syrius Lionwing: Colche gave a short nod, even with Aubreys words in her ears, she still felt bad. "I likes beach" she smiles trying to wash away the sadness she felt and trying to bring back the fact that this was a reunion, not a time of saddness. Smiling softly she cuddled close to Aubrey, casting another glance at the older ladies belly. Had Aubrey alway had a belly that big? Maybe she had but she was too busy thinking about other things? Nope, Aubrey was definately decidedly slimmer last she had seen her. She tried tot hink back to when that was. In her duplex, happier times.

"Mommy wheres Josh go?" She looked up at the lady, she wondered if Aubrey knew that Richard was teaching ehr now, that she was learning again, being taught how to be just like everyone else.

"I hurt foot." She proudly showed off her cast then, sort of a medal of honour that she had come away without a death sentence."Jordan saved" She smiled and gave a soft sigh as she said it a slight giggle escaping her. "Jordan a white knight!" she grins, hoping that Aubrey would get the referance.

Aubrey continued to stroke her hair as she talked to her. "Colche, no everyone handles the changes very well. It makes some people very sad and they just want to be alone, even from those they care about very much. That's were Josh is. He's not feeling very well. But Aubrey is going to try and make him better so he can play with you again."

She chucked at the mention of Jodron. He was as special pet project of Moreau's but of course she didn't know all the details. "A white knight is he?" she said with a smile. "That's very good, Colche. Having lots of friends is very good."

Aubrey also looked down at the cast and shook her head alittle bit. "I see. And you need to see Ms. Delia again soon. You have to change that cast or it won't get better right."

Colche nodded gently, so Josh was sick, she remembered a long time ago that Ambrose said that Angelina wasn’t very well after her changes, she gave a sordid nod and sighed. “Okay, I understand.” She smiles lightly, truth was she actually did understand what Aubrey was telling her, it was quite amazing her grasp of vocabulary now. It seemed like everything was changing, even herself.

A vigerous nod shook her head and she gave a huge, cattish grin. “Uh huh, he saved and stuff, plus he’s purty!” She grins, she really liked Jordan, he had furry feet which quite frankly fascinated her and although her nose told her ‘dog / wolf’ she wasn’t in the least bit frightened or dubious about him. “Need cast!” her brow creased slightly and she pointed to the signature on the dirty white plaster where Jordan had struggled to write a get well letter. “Jordan wrote specially” She looked at Aubrey hopefully, though she guessed that the cast would have to come off she didn’t expect to have to get in to another one, this one was fine, plus jordie had written on it so it was special enough to stay on right?

"Well when you get your new one, Jordan can write something special on it, too!" Aubrey was happy Colche seemed to be showing interest in someone else, especially since Josh didn't take to her affections too well. But at the same note, she was really weary to encourage it. But she certain wasn't going to discourage anything budding in her.

She was happy to see it looked like Colche was making progress. Her speech was a bit better, but she was definately understanding more. "Guess what, Colche?" she asked her girl, patting her shoulders and putting one hand on her stomach."

Colche gave a puurr and nodded. "Okay, change then jordie write new!" she smiled, satisfied at this answer, though it had seemed that he had struggled to write it the last time.

Tilting her furry head a little she looked at Aubrey curiously, she had wondered about the fact that Aubrey looked, pudgier than usual, but things changed, as was a well prooven fact. "whats?" she understood this game, guess what was a question she could answer well enough.

"There's a baby growing in there," she said, patting the little buldge in her tummy. "Remember, like we talked about that one time?"

Colche's ears perked forwards, she did remember and a smile crossed her maw. "Mommy and prince baby?" she gave a puurr looking at her 'mothers' stomach, she still couldn't entirely fathom how a baby got in to a tummy yet, but from their previous conversation, she knew it involved fun and eventually a little baby, like a puppy only with less fur. "Brother or sister?" She beamed, another word she knew, if Aubrey was having a baby, she was going to have a sibling right? Yes, "little brother or sister?" She tilted her head, a pleased ligth dancing in those baby blue orbs.

"Yeah, mommy and prince," she said with only a touch of sadness in her voice. "Little brother, Colche, " she said, forcing herself not to dwell on Moreau for the moment.

"Little brother." She giggles and puts a paw on Aubreys tummy. "is he comin' nows?" anotehr tilt of that furry face, she wanted to see her little brother now, it was only fair, how did a baby get out of there again? Wiggling ehr ears she puurred softly, her rough padded fingers resting on Aubreys tummy. "I wan' see first okay?" she smiled, something told her, even without asking Aubrey 'her' little brother wasn't coming out because she said so.

Aubrey couldn't help but laugh. "Not yet. He's still got to be in there for a couple of months and grow big. He's only about this big right now," Aubrey motioned with her hands a ball about the size of a grapefruit. "That's way too little for a baby boy!"

"Awes." A slight pout came to that small furry maw as Aubrey said he wasn't coming just yet, still, maybe she could still come and see her little brother when he did come? "I come see Aubrey? plea?" She looked up at the curly haired lady, she knew she wasn't that welcome at the labs despite the fact that she considered Aubrey her mother. "I be good, promise" She smiled hopefully, a little ragged puurr rolling from her chest. "teeny tiny" she whispers putting both of her furry, clawed hands over Aubreys tummy.

"Sure," she said with a smile. "You want to come visit me for a few days? I think that would be okay." She gave her a warm smile and a hug. "You have to let me change your cast, though, and you'll have to wear clothes for me, okay. Be grown up."

Colche squeeled happily and gave several vigerous nods, clinging to the lady before her "uh huh, I be grown ups, be good, promise!" She grinned her perfect blue eyes dancing happily, to spend time with Aubrey she would happily change her cast and wear clothes and do anything! "I come, help mommy." she whispered snuggling tightly in to Aubreys body her long tail swaying back and forth in an excitable manner.

"If you want to," Aubrey said standing up and holding out her hand for her. "You can stay with me for a few days and help me around. Your brother is getting heavy!"

Colche giggled and stood slowly, holding her bad foot a little off the ground now. "heavy.." She mimiced, her eyes firmly glued on Aubreys belly for a moment longer. "I helps." she whispers, giving a very serious nod. She would do everything she could to help her mommy!

Aubrey just nodded and patted her knee. Once at the labs, Aubrey took her into the hospital wing and went to work on changing her cast. A couple of the staffers threw odd glances her way, but Aubrey held her head high. She felt entitled, though she knew he ought to talk to Moreau soon. It would be better if he found out about the houseguest though her and not someone else.

Colche followed around with Aubrey happily, playing the obedient daughter and enjoying herself thoroughly, she didn't even notice the odd glances she got she was so happy to simply be allowed in here with Aubrey.
