Iriai felt herself waver and new she had had it.
'I need to drink and the retarts are just wasting my time.'
Iriai turned her head away from the boy before her. She hated begging but she couldn't die of hunger, not when her sister still needed her.
"Listen I haven't eaten anything, blood................or food, for the last five days. I'm straving......................so if you can't figure out that I'm no threat to you I sudgest you let me get a drink or you'll have a..........dea...dead vamp and.............heaven forbid a pissed off.........one aswell at you door."
Her voice was starting to get weaker but she continued to stnd as tall as possible and hold her head as high as possible.

Jess looked the girl, named Iriani over, carefully as she said, "I got no objects from Logan, except he did give me a paper that had two places that your group may be at. I really would prefer that we get this over with." The girl then leaned against the wall behind her. "I really wish Logan and Alice would hurry the hell up.. we need them in here." Jess looked over at Alaric swiftly when he began to talk. "That's not a very persuasive answer." He said to Iriani in response to her answer. He then turned to Jess and said, "I decided it was better to let her in. I'd rather have her within reach of my sword than running to Alec with our location." Jess nodded, she could understand that..she was just extremely stressed.
Irani then turned away from Jess and Alaric and said, "Listen, I haven't eaten anything, blood...or food, for the last five days. I'm starving..so if you can't figure out that I'm no threat to you I suggest you let me get a drink or you'll have a...dea..dead vampire and...heaven forbid a pissed off...one as well at your door." Jess rolled her eyes and walked over to the cabinet. They didnt' have any blood there but they had regular food. "I don't have any blood, Irani. However, I do have soup, cereal, and other stuff...just choose what you want. And watch your attitude."
Jess walked over to Alaric, "Where's your phone? I have to call mine and get Logan back down here."

Iriai couldn't help but laugh weakly.
"Disgustiong human food, I'ld rather die then eat the food of some livestock......."
Leaning against the wall Iriai reached in her pocket to pull out a small needle. Stabbing it into the right arm she took in a deep breath before she took it out and put it into her pocket.
"Hate having to use that stuff but it's better than eating like a cow."

Alaric handed Jess his cellphone as Iriai injected herself. If she could've just done that why had she asked for their help? This woman was suspicious and troublesome. He was really beginning to wish Logan would hurry up. He wanted this woman dead or on their side as soon as possible. This charade was tiresome. "If he doesn't answer just go get him. I can look after this one."

Jess looked at Iriani in disgust as she injected herself and took the cellphone from Alaric. She eyed the girl up carefully as she dialed the number to her phone. It kept ringing and there was no answer. "If he doesn't answer, just go get him. I can look after this one." Jess nodded and said, "I know you can handle this one..but can you handle these two?" She said indicating over to Neasa. "I'll try to be quick." She said as she started for the door.
When she was partially out the door she grumbled. Nobody but Logan and Jasper could understand what she was saying when she was grumbling unless she wanted them to. She exited the basement and looked up and saw that the fire escape was still pulled down. She shrugged, she knew that she couldn't climb the wall as easily as Logan had, so with that she jumped up and grabbed the fire escape. She pulled herself up, it took her slightly longer than it would've a couple years ago because she hadn't had the chance to exercise like this in awhile. When she made it to the top of the building she found Alice lying down staring at the stars and Logan sitting next to her with the blanket she had given him drapped aroud his shoulder. They were sitting in silence and both looked over to her.
"I don't mean to interrupt..but there's a girl here, suspicious one at that, claiming that you asked her to join us. I don't trust her Logan... Could you go down there and talk to her?" she looked over to Alice, "I'll stay up here with Alice.. I have a feeling that she and I need to talk."

Iriai was starting to get annoyed.
'Stupid people, they ask for my help then try to treat me like garbage. I tried acting as if I needed there help so they'd let me speakto Logan.'
Iriai started to get even more annoyed as the one girl left the room and went to get Logan.
'You know they could have done this sooner.'
"Listen I have things to do, so hurry up and stop waisting my time."

She heard him come up but didn't open her eyes, if she cried, she wouldn't let him see her tears.Alice didn't want to say anything, because she knew that not matter what she said he was going to do what he wanted. Thats how its always been. Logan did what he thought was right no matter what. She sighed, her body suddenly feeling exhausted.
There was something in his voice that didn't sound right.
He is just tired I guess... She thought, feeling better that it's best left alone.
"Logan..your going to be the death of me...." She said, her stress level had reached a new high. And she blamed him.
Alice heard someone climbing the fire escape. Logan obviously heard it too, they both looked over to see Jess.
"I don't mean to interrupt..but there's a girl here, suspicious one at that, claiming that you asked her to join us. I don't trust her Logan... Logan moved to stand, but with a second thought he bent low over Alice and kissed her quickly before she could hurt him. He stood and nodded wearily to Jess, giving her a tired smile as he passed, and climbed down the fire escape. Once back in the basement he looked around for the new girl, locating her almost instantly. Alaric was doing his job and standing by her defensively. The look on his face made it painfully apparent that the woman wasn’t the most fun to be around.
But at least Logan recognized her. “She’s one of us,” he said, stepping forward for them to see him. He was sure he didn’t look like that great of a leader to the woman, Iriai. The blanket was still draped loosely over his shoulders and his face had paled. But he was standing up straight, at least.
“Welcome,” Logan said to her. “I apologize for any trouble you have been given, but I assure you it was necessary.” He nodded to Alaric.
“Thank you.”

As Jess stood next to Logan and Alice, waiting for him to go down and check out the new girl, Logan bent low over Alice and kissed her quickly. He then stood and nodded tiredly and smiled as he passed her. This time he chose the fire escape, rather than scaling the building again. Jess couldn't help but feel a tinge of jealousy, she really missed Jasper. He was badly hurt now, she already knew that, she saw it. She had a feeling that she was slowly, but surely falling in love with him. Jess looked down at the ground, trying to hide her sadness and jealousy a bit, but failing. She went over by Alice and sat down.
"Alice.." she cut off.. she didn't want to get upset or cry again. She laid back and stared up at the stars, not sure what to say without sounding sappy.

Alice could hear it in Jess's voice. Despite her efforts to hide her sadness and longing. And she could relate. Logan was gone for eight years.
"We are going to get him back Jess..." Alice said as she propped herself up on her elbows. The hard cement of the rooftop dug into her elbows, but she didn't move. Maybe the pain would clear her head.
"I had a vision Alice..." Jess began. Alice's eyebrows furrowed.
"What? You have visions?" She remembered them mentioning this, but it still came as a shock.

Jess laid on the roof, staring at the sky still, when Alice said, "We are going ot get him back Jess..." Jess smiled slightly at the thought of Jasper in a healthy state, but the frown came back quickly. "..I had a vision Alice..." she began. Alice looked over to Jess, her eyebrows furrowed. "What? You have visions?" Alice asked confused.
Jess kept staring at the sky intently and said, "Well, it's like a vision, but I see things in my dreams....How do you think we found you? Yeah..me." Jess turned her head in Alice's direction, but still looking far away. "I...saw everything they did to him...everything Ebony's still doing to him. Right now..he's under-going the torture that all vampire fear getting...." her voice cracked and she stopped talking. She turned her head back up to the sky.

Jess was on the edge of breaking down. That much was obvious. Though the torture that she didn't explain distracted her for a moment. But she decided it was best she didn't ask.
"Jess...I know that you miss him, and what has happened to him I'm sure is beyond horrible. But sitting there dwelling on it..isn't going to make it better. You have to be strong..be strong for Jasper. I mean think about it, the thought of you is probably the thing keeping him holding on...Logan will get him back."
Alice felt her heart sink at her own words. She knew that Logan would do anything to get Jasper back...but that meant that she may never see him again.
The small pieces of gravel crunched as she laid back down. Her gaze back to the darkened sky. The stars seemed duller now. Like the luster of life had some how faded in the past fifteen minutes.
I have a feeling he is going to break his promise...
Alice thought to herself. Then again, despite her hope, she kinda knew deep down that it was one promise that he would most likely break. No matter how much Logan wanted to be human, a part of him would always be like a wolf. Wild, untamed...and willing to do anything to protect his pack.
Alice didn't know why she was being so negative. Maybe it was because all her life the ones she loved most where always taken from her. Or it might be the fact that this Alec guy didn't seem the type to just be all willy nilly with his captives.
Which is exactly what Logan would be a captive. And from the sounds of the condition Jasper was in..Logan was in over his head.

Jess scooted closer to Alice and wrapped her arms around her, pulling her into a hug. "Alice...I can promise you something. Logan knows how to deal with Alec. He's going to be alright."

Logan nodded, giving his appproval. Alaric nodded back. As much as it irked him, he needed to learn to work with the dog. He decided to start by addressing him. "Logan, go to sleep. You need rest. You're no longer needed if this one isn't a threat." That was all he could bring himself to say. He stepped back into a position guarding the captive dog. All this tension was getting to him. He needed a fight to calm down. Fortunately, or perhaps not so fortunately, he had a feeling one was coming soon.
