[Beach Bar]
Finally able to breathe, he took air in as he was welcomed by the aroma of smoky barbecue. His gray eyes had never lit up so much from such a delicious sight.
"Don't worry, I'll have ya filled up!" He reassured his stomach as he planned to spend those next few minutes full of food.
Picking up a plate eagerly, he filled his plate with barbecue and some salad. Taking one last look at his plate, he felt satisfied with the rather large amount he had piled up on his plate. With a nod as if he had approved, he took a seat at the bar with anticipation as his mouth watered.
Yumm!
Picking up his fork, he began eating away as his mouth was filled with savory flavors.
"Mmm!"
He was going to need all the energy if he was going to be participating in any of the events... That reminded him, he had forgotten to ask Ebony if she had been hungry her self.
Lifting his head up away from his plate, he glanced around and found the purple-haired girl sipping away at her drink. Suddenly remembering what had happened not too long ago, he quickly buried his head back in to his food.
Gaaah!

.ll Sand N' Stuff ll.
Josh barely caught Ani’s snappy voice trailing after him. At the last second, he twisted around to face the girl. A small frown played on his lips in thought, “Hn, Dr. Kyou runs the Lab. I think he serving drinks in the bar. Black hair and devil horns.” He hoped that the meager description was enough for Ani. Josh spun on his heels and took off in the direction of sand, surf, and satisfaction. He wanted to see just what else there was to offer at this charity shindig.
Josh slowed down to a casual trot as he was swept into the main portion of the sandy flat of land. He paused allowing his eyes to trail around at the people he passed, not really focusing on a set individual. He let his mind wander and allowed himself to enjoy the glistening rays of the sun as they soaked into his skin. It was a pleasant feeling to be warmed by the sun. He was amazed at just how cold it had been under that canopy.

(( Sand n Stuff --> Beach Bar ))
It had been a delightful walk, but even she, as naturally tanned as she was, did not favor being out in direct sunlight for too long. It didn't help that she had black hair, or no means to cover it. Alex had made her way back across the sand, putting her sleeping Gwee on a blanket in her truck (windows open, of course) before returning to the party. There were more than a few new faces - some more appealing than others - but it seemed most of the folk had finally ditched the bar to play in the sand.
It just so happened that she was quite thirsty from her walk, and seeing as the crowd had finally thinned, she wasn't so adverse to approaching the shaded alcove. Alex took off her sunglasses as she finally made her way beneath the canopy, squinting as her bright green eyes adjusted. And what a delightful person to adjust on!
"Doctor!" she exclaimed happily, using his title out of habit. "A-ah, Kyou, sorry!" The woman hastily ammended herself, taking a corner seat and resting her arms on the bar top. She smiled at the horned man, not entirely sure he'd recognize her, but she wouldn't mind a reintroduction. "How's the, ah, purpose of the party coming along?"

Dr. Kyou?
Her immediate thoughts were related to Asians. Considering she had seen none around, that would make finding him easy.
Black hair? Even easier.
Devil horns?
...wait, what?
"Wh-.. devil ho--" Josh had already finished up his answer and was moving away again. She couldn't rightly run after him smoothly with her new bandages. Ani wrapped her arms around her torso, trying to collect her thoughts for a moment. Dr. Kyou had black hair and devil horns? And was manning the bar? Her hazel-green eyes drifted along everyone currently standing or sitting or behind the bar. There was Mouse again, the boy who had tried to help her up, a woman with purple hair, one of the Raevan's which had just chimed out quite loudly, a black and red Raevan whom was speaking with Mouse, the cold one from before now moving away... A frustrated sigh left her lips and she turned back to lean forward, looking behind the bar.
There were too many people here. It was so crowded.
Beneath her, she felt Tango panting against her legs as he laid down, the cool of the flooring around the bar probably helping him quite a lot as his breathing was not nearly as labored as it had been on the shore. Black hair. Devil horns. One would think the mission of finding such a man would be a simple task, or that she would have even caught a glimpse of him previously, but such was not the case. How was some one with such unnatural appendages that hard for her to spo-- ...oh there he was.
"Aaaand here is your fruit salad daiquiri! Enjoy!!"
On the other side of the bar, furthest from her. Of course she missed him.
A quick click of her tongue and Tango was up on his feet again with a strained groan. Apparently he had liked his spot. Still, Ani had waited far too long to get this information and had gotten a flesh wound in the process of seeking it out. She wasn't about to let the chance pass up now that he was in her sights. As she moved closer, though, a black haired woman with green eyes rushed over, greeting the object of her attention. Curses. Foiled again.
The waiting game it would have to be. She wasn't about to be so rude and bold as to interrupt an apparently casual meeting as the woman quickly corrected herself, simply using the doctor's name rather then title. "Sads," she sighed nonchalantly, patting Tango lightly on the back. He just wagged and panted.

Dorian had never really been to fond of the beach, in fact, he tended to avoid the beach scene all together. He was a city boy, not a surfer. And if he even had the balance required to surf, no doubt he would only intrude upon the real surfers and their 'digs'. Seating himself at the corner of the bar looking over the stretch of sand and waves, he noticed a few things. One...People were here with those...Raevans....or ravens..or whatever they were. Two...Most girls in the area seemed to be with guys. (his inner flirt died a bit). Three...There was a paint ball sign up sheet on the wall nearby, along with other beach games. "Excuse me sir, can I get a strawberry daiquiri?" Dorian asked the bartender. Seeing the bartender nod, he put his money on the table and walked over to inspect the sign up. Paint ball seemed to dominate the sign ups...As well as limbo, and even a pie eating contest. "Hey," Dorian waved down the bartender who seemed to know what they were doing. "There is no number to what I can sign up to right?" the bartender shrug. Smiling Dorian quickly jolted his name down for paint ball and pie eating. Looking back the the barkeep, he notice his drink was waiting for him...right next to a lovely young lady.

It was a little charming to hear Meli call out the list of activities, flying a little higher above the crowd than anyone else. By time she realized it, she had already stood out a bit. Not like it was a bad thing. He was still a little shocked from Meli's quiet admission on the sand heading back to the bar... but he was recovering quickly. When she came floating back down, he decided which ones sounded interesting to him as well.
"A lot of the games sound interesting, don't they?" Zave smiled at her, pondering which ones to participate in. "Hmmm...I think I'll do the Limbo and Storytelling Event." He finally decided, pointing to his ribbon coming just below his chest. "I don't have a stomach yet, so pie eating would be a little hard. Also, I don't want to end up on a team against you in the paintball game. If you want to do those too, I'll cheer you on though!"
He then remembered the other two raevans they were there to represent as well. "How about for Laz and Tari? Do you think there's enough room for them to sign up as well?" He looked at Meli quizzically as he wrote his name down on the two sheets. "Have you put your name on the events yet?" He also asked, offering the pen to her.

Pasha nodded, still excited about the collection of games available. "I think there's enough room!" She accepted the pen with a bright smile, as though it was a gift. Writing her name in delicate letters on both the limbo and storytelling sheets, Melisande added a flourish for the accent mark over the 'e'. She tapped the pen against her lips for a moment, considering.
"I think we're supposed to sign them up too, so...since Laz has a stomach, he can eat pie with me!" Talking about stomachs was much more comfortable than talking about boobs. She added Tari and Laz, spelled just like that, to limbo and storytelling as well...and added both her name and Laz's name to the pie contest. "I don't know if he wants the paint game...so...."
Well, she didn't know, but she spotted someone who might! Glancing back at Zavier, as though summoning courage from his presence, Melisande cleared her throat and faced the bar. She'd spotted Kyou there just a few minutes ago, and though she hadn't seen him in some time, it wasn't a face you'd forget.
"Ah, doctor? Dr.....Kyou? Could I ask you a question?" Well, she wanted to ask two questions, really, but one at a time seemed like the best approach. Tugging at bit at her pink swim top, Pasha fidgeted with her ruffles while she waited to catch his attention.

Well... That went well. Perhaps it was just too many people around. She she would have to pluck up the nerve to talk to someone. She spotted Anita and her dog.
"'Scuse me," Bridget started, "Have you seen a pair of little carrot-tops running around 'ere? Kids, I mean - 'bout eight?" She smiled in an almost self-depreciating way.
"I'll get out of your hair afterward, er also are you in line for a drink? I might as well as get one myself." The young woman looked around for a moment. Oh, the flesh not-golems are here. She gazed at their incomplete perfections, how they could float and function without a lower half was amazing, as she could not seem to fathom the wonderment. Must be strong magic and materials, that blond and pink one was so cute! She caught the word pie and her mouth watered. Okay, if this person didn't know where her siblings were running around then perhaps she'd sign up for that pie-thing.

((Parking lot entrance to the Beach Bar))
"There's so many people.." Namini gasped, using one hand to push her whirling locks back as she stuck her neck further out the window, hoping to get a better view of the colorful crowd of Gaians and Raevans. She gasped again as David surprised her with a sudden halt of the car, forcing the seatbelt to pin her instinctively to the chair. Rubbing her collarbone, she shot him a wounded-puppy expression as the frown on his face seemed to dig deeper into his features.
"You're such a jerk," she teased quietly, but her brother ignored her comments as he irritably put the car into park and unbuckled himself. The younger Nao quickly followed suit, though she was notably more upbeat. "Cheer up, David! It's just today, and remember, you promised."
She emphasized the last word, forcing her brother to emit a soft sigh as they exited the vehicle. Locking it as they began to walk away, Namini clinging childishly to his arm, David attempted forcing himself to be a little more flexible in his mood, though his honesty was hard to swallow today. A promise, huh? ...
"I know. Thank god it's just today though."
Namini giggled at her brother's solemn remark, now uncaring for his how uncomfortable he was for now, they had officially entered the festival! People were everywhere and Namini felt overwhelmed at all the smells and sights. The nostalgic sea air decorated with an undertone of fruits and meats, the sand wiggling its way through her sandals, the numerous smiling faces. David looked down his arm at his awestruck sister and rolled his eyes. Oh how he hated the beach. But then, shifting his attention back to what was in front of them, he caught sight of something that made him forget about the current environment at hand: food. He was a man made for the appreciation of delicious foods...and that's why he had his sister.
As Namini continued gawking over the stalls and sensations running throughout her mind, she was surprised by her brother's newfound enthusiasm as he purred, "Let's get some food. You're hungry right?" Staring stupidly at him for a moment, she returned to the question at hand and grinned brilliantly, "Of course! LET'S GO!"
And with this outburst, she dragged an embarrassed David to the crowded buffet.

Bridget's approach had gone unnoticed by Anita, and she had to do a double take for a moment to make sure that the girl was indeed speaking with her. Rarely was she that randomly approached, and if she was, she was with another. There was an accent on her words, one she couldn't entirely place, but after repeating the question under her breath she realized what she had meant. "Oh! Um--" she cast her vision around quickly, attempting to spot the two 'carrot tops', but there were so many people...
Losing kids on a beach was bad, though. For a moment she glanced at Kyou, still wanting to speak with him, but she sighed. If he was manning the bar, he would be there for a good while. She would have another chance. "I haven't, sorry... Do you want help looking for them?" Alone and in good conscience she couldn't let children run around in such a big area unsupervised, regardless of her not knowing quite how old they were. Now that meant her agenda would consist of three things: Finding kids, Talking to Kyou about Raevans, and Finding Kale to.. apologize and ask questions...

Bridget shruged, "No, no need. They're good kids. I 'spect they're off a-ways playin' in the sand. Thank you very much, though!" She smiled and moved off in the direction to get her drink quickly and move out towards the sun and sand again.
Bridget paused as she scribbled her name down on the pie eating contest. Hmmm, storytelling too? Nah. She sipped her fuzzy navel and moved onward.
There they were. Little buggers - just playing in the sand. Hmph well, at least they were happy and not near the water. Bee didn't think they could swim... She stared at more of the Raevans as she walked to the surf. She wanted to touch them but couldn't bring herself to, it was like deer-in-a-headlights-syndrome, all wide eyed and everything. Surely to others it would be amusing.

Lucia watched the water roll in on the beach and felt. . . absolutely no desire to touch it. Getting wet would completely mess up her hair. She looked down at the sand and felt a sudden urge to be away from her guardian. Away from people. Without saying a word to Yuurei she floated to a fairly deserted area of the beach and watch the water, her interest peeking when she saw a fish jump up.
Lucia floated over the water and dipped her hand in. She wanted company. But only someone similar to herself. She didn't like the mass of people over at the bar.

((Beach Bar--Sand 'n Stuff))
Dorian began to feel uncomfortable around so many people. And, who ever this 'Doctor' was, he seemed to have quite a few lady friends... Shrugging Dorian continued to nurse his drink. Too sweet. Though, we usually had a simple beer or ale. Setting the sweet drink aside, he began to people watch. And..noticed no one was in the water. "Doesn't anyone around here surf or swim? I mean..It is a beach after all." Dorian grumbled. He didn't want to get into the water by himself, but..he didn't want to seem desperate... Then he noticed the young woman...er...Raevan watching the sea. She seemed alone, and well...That just wasn't right, 'raevan or not a lady doesn't go about escorted', Dorian's inner Neanderthal thought. hanking the barkeep for his drink Dorian made his was to the lone Raevan. "Excuse me Miss, are you all by yourself? that seems awful lonely."

((Beach Bar (Limbo/Story Sign Up) -> Sand 'n Stuff))
The bar got busy in fits and bursts, while Niksia was distracted with her thoughts. She had been considering the various sign up sheets and the other people around the bar when her concentration faded. It was like taking a step back and disappearing into the background and was a habit that seemed to pop up at least once when she was in a crowd.
Her scarf was pulled over her mouth to cover mumbling complaints about such silly behaviour, but they weren't uttered. Even the Raevans were getting involved. Niksia watched them sign up for events and stared silently with frank interest from a distance. Something about the way they looked compared to an average human caused a strange reaction inside. It was strange for someone not used to being around normal people, never mind half formed floating people.
Waiting until they were distracted, trying not to keep staring, Niksia signed up for the limbo and storytelling in her careful curling handwriting. With a final glance at the beautiful muted pink and blonde Raevan and her blue and silver companion, the red haired woman wandered back to the scorching sand.
Gathering up a bucket and little shovel, she took to the edge of the gentle waves and sat on the damp sand. The rule of thumb that damp sand made better sandcastles had reminded her to sit there but she wasn't really out to make anything. The red scarf was wrapped around her shoulders so it didn't trail in the sand and Niksia stared out across the water with her tools loose in her hands.
'Bliss.'
It was a good idea to go speak to more people soon, she wanted to know more about the Raevan creation and was pondering the two she'd seen up close not that long ago. Maybe even strike up a proper conversation with one again or a guardian. She considered waiting until it was a little later and she'd ordered a slightly stronger drink from the bar. For now the feel of the sun on her pale skin was strangely nice. Some of the nervousness fell away.

((Beach Bar > Sand & Stuff))
With a satisfied slurp, she sucked up the last remains of her delicious drink and pushed the empty glass aside. Ebony hopped off her bar stool and immediately dug a hand into her front pocket in order to get her wallet. She slipped out several bills and stuffed them into a near by tip jar without counting them before placing her wallet back. The amount was no doubt much more than anyone would have normally tipped, but this was a fundraiser as well after all and Ebony intended on doing her part wherever she could. A small wave was offered to the boy Aden before she sauntered away from the bar.
She was suddenly finding herself being drawn closer to the Lab although she didn’t really know that many of them aside from the Delaran brothers. It was oddly welcoming, yet at the same time utterly unnecessary, as she hadn’t been intending on becoming close with anyone here in Gaia. Not that she’d been terribly close to anyone in England aside from her father. Ebony’s tanned features suddenly contracted into a slight frown before they were whisked away with a caressing breeze as she stepped out onto the warm sand. ’Well…I suppose it’s all right…as long as I don’t get too close…'
