“That’s your pet?!?” She whispered from her hiding spot behind Kalin. She watched as the Fondorian pick up the ball and tosses it, the big beastie chasing after. Her eyes sparkled and her confidence grew as she watched it play like any other puppy. All but, it’s size. “Really? Can I?” she stepped out from behind Kalin. “He wont, like slobber all over me will he?”

Mareal stepped into the ship, as she heard a loud clanging.
"Vat in dee corellian nine hells?" she said to herself. As she neared the hangar, she noticed a crowd of people near the door. They were talking, as Xan tossed a large lump to make another thump.
A small girl and a rather large man seemed to make company. Mareal didn't want to be a social butterfly, but she figured she'd try to join in and help anyway she could. She also noticed the large metalloid ball in its jaws as it trotted back.
"Akk dog tounges are like sand, dry and rough. More important though: How vill you toss a ball made out of metal? You don't look like you could even lift dee ding, no offense."

“Hu-wha,” Niomie looked up. “Made of metal, really? Is it like, heavy or something or what? And I’m not that weak.” She replied.

"It hardly bounces, and makes a terrible noise each time it hits dee floor. Naturally one vould guess it is metal, no?" Mareal said, as the dog trotted back with the ball, letting it go at her feet and re-establishing their mental connection. A loud noise echoed through the hangar as it thumped down.
"Xan also should know dat most Akk Dogs are somevat feral, unless trained. They usually have only one bond vith a person who helps guide dem, but dis one was rasied by Xan from childhood, no? Dat's vhy it is so nice to people."
She picked up the ball, though even with her jedi strength she noticed it weighed a bit.
"Here, you drow dee ball. I've already made my bond vith it."

Niomie huffed as the full weight of the ball was placed into her hands and she looked at the older woman with surprised in her eyes. “That is heavy.” She turned the ball around in her hands and spotted a small button on the handle. Depressing the button the ball lightened in her hands. “Bond with it huh, ok.” She smiled, taking the ball by the handle she spun once on her heal and released it. “Go git it.” She said the Akk turning to chase after it. She looked up at the redhead. “Names Niomie,” she said, sticking out her head. “I’m the navigator for the Ruusan, nice to meet you.” She smiled warmly.

"I'm Miss Hannak, the person who doesn't do anyding on dee ship and vill be getting off at the next stop. Xan vas kind enough to pay for my ticket to the next port after a favor I did for him," she returned. MAreal extended a hand, offering it to be shaken.

“Oh? Well that was nice of him.” Niomie replied, shaking her hand. “Pleasure to meet you and welcome aboard.” She released her hand and grinned as the Akk chopped down and the ball at the far side of the hanger. “Mind me asking where you hail from?”

" Ah, kriff. " Laura said to herself, walking around to the other side of the pool table in the lounge, having just missed the corner pocket. She had been watching one of the holoscreens for a while, but got tired of just sitting around. Picking up the cup of caf she had gotten earlier, she took a sip. " 5 ball in the corner pocket... again. " she said, hitting the cue ball into the 5 ball, only to once again miss her target.
With a sigh, she took another sip and lined up for another shot at sinking the ball. " I need more practice... " She rammed the stick into the cue ball, however she had twitched at the last second and hit it too low, causing it to jump off the table, missing the other ball entirely. " That's the 4th time I've done that today... " When she was facing any culinary challenge, her hands and coordination were as sharp as could be. Unfortunately, the same was not true when she was trying to knock pool balls around.

"Having fun?" Gairus asked jokingly. He had silently walked into the lounge only seconds ago, but he had heard the loud noise of balls being hit from his bunk, which was just outside the lounge. He was leaning against the wall with his hands in his pants pockets.

"A bit of eferyvhere," Mareal replied, her tone turning somber. "I vould like to afoid my past, dough, if at all possible. Var stories are not happy, and I only get by anymore."
She watched the dog totter back. She could feel its happiness, which made her happy too.
"But you are young. I vill not drag you down vith stories of my life. Should you find yourself extremely bored on dee trip, drop by my cabin. Don't vorry, I doubt ve'll have any more passengers, so look for the closed door."
Marael give a bow, and walked towards the turbolift to head back to her room.

" It was either this or just sitting on my a** all day. " Laura said, getting the ball off the floor and putting it back on the table. Walking to the side to attempt her shot again, she reached around her back with the stick and threw it over her opposite shoulder, grabbing it with her other hand while spinning around, stopping with the stick aimed right at the ball over the table, herself in perfect position for her shot.
" It's funny. I can do tricks like this and more all day, but I can't hit for crap. Ironically, I can throw a knife with very good precision. I just can't hit these... " she said, hitting the ball, missing yet again. " ... damn balls. " After lining up yet again, she finally sank the 5 ball. " The Nine Hells will implode before I ever pull off a win without missing more than half the time... " She sighed, moving on to the next ball. " So, what's your story? "

Kalin watched the woman start to walk off without even acknowledging him. He waved his hand in the air and yelled after her, a little sarcastically.
Nice meetin' you, Hannak!
With a look of discontent, the look of someone who had been wronged, he turned back to the group that he had been engaged in before. He rubbed his forehead with his hands, calloused as they were, and let out a tired sigh.
Ergh... I need some happy juice.

Gairus shrugged with a smile. "Just a freelancer looking for some more...permanent work. And I'd rather be good with a knife than with a cue. I doubt knowing how to hit balls -well, pool balls- will ever save your life. I'm Gairus, by the way." He said with a smile, walking towards Laura to offer a hand shake.

Xan looked at Kalin, watching the scene unfold.
"Don't worry. We got four days 'till a waypoint. You'll 'ave a chance ta 'it on 'er again," he replied, giving a wink.

Deakin left the ship and kept an eye out. He needed some tobacco and some supplies. Turning back, he took a quick glance at the ship and continued. Looking around, he spotted someone who could sell him some dried leaves. Paying the man, he continued to the bar to get a bite to eat and something to drink, com link kept open.
