Haradhel also choked, but she was choking with laughter.
"I really don't think Elrohir has anything to worry about," she laughed, nearly doubled over. "She sounds like she sure knows how to take care of herself!"
Her laughter died into giggles, and she looked over at Lin again. "And just what did he do to her, that she threatened him like that?" she asked curiously.

Lothiriel followed Miyu trustfully, not even bothering to check her Sight to see where they were going.
"Perhaps you should invite him," she suggested. "I'm sure he would like to meet your friends here, know who you spend your time with ... and I would like to meet him, my father speaks very highly of him."

"But it might be more than a year before we come back," Miyu pointed out, "What if you're gone by then? It might be longer."
As she knew how it went around here, the years passed quickly and she never knew when the next trip was going to be planned.

"Oh, he told her that if she kept looking at him like that... because she gives him the look whenever she catches him talking behind her back, he would just have to kiss her," Lin replied a matter of factly, "He teases a lot, I think he's a bit weird."
That was just her personal opinion though.

Haradhel's giggles increased again. "Yes, Elrohir has nothing to worry about," she laughed. "She certainly knows how to take care of herself."
But even if Elrohir had known that before going out, he still would have ended up asking Pen the same questions - so it really didn't matter.

Lothiriel giggled softly at Miyu's concern.
"Your friend Yami-san, he knows everything, doesn't he?" she asked her, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "He knows before people come that they will be coming, and where they will be, and who they will be, and what they will be doing ..."
She stopped and knelt down to get closer to the girl's height so that she could lean close and whisper, as if sharing a secret with her.
"I can do that too."

Miyu's eyes widen as they went down the one hallway so she could get the towels for Lothiriel. She didn't know that someone else could do that too, but that was very useful.
"So you'll be here when I come here next time?"

Lin tilted her head a bit, she supposed threatening someone with bodily harm would do the trick.
"What do you think Elrohir is going to be asking Pen?"

"Probably just cursory questions," Haradhel shrugged. "Who is he, where is he from, how did he meet Seeker, how did they end up traveling together ..."
She shrugged again. "Just to get to know the man, see if he trusts him to travel with Seeker without anyone else there."

Seeker smiled at Miyu.
"I can try to be," she nodded. "I might now know when you're coming until very close to the time, though, and if I'm far away I might not make it ... but I can promise that I will try my best, and check every day to find out when you will be coming back."
She did want to meet Yue, very much - she had grown up hearing stories about him, her father really respected him.

Miyu's eyes brightened up at that thought as she opened the closet to take out a pair of fluffy towels. Yay, someone didn't have a bath yet, they got the fluffy towels this time.
"This way," she pointed to one of the doors, "That sounds like fun."

"Yes the sort any person would do when they find an unknown man spending a lot of time alone with their daughter, niece... whatever," Donovan murmured.
He chuckled a bit at that, he just wanted to see who this Pen person was.
"I wonder if Gion knows about him."
"Well.. maybe he does, maybe she took him to see her home, if she hasn't she probably should," Lin replied.

"Fun?" Seeker giggled. "Sometimes, I suppose ... but sometimes I see things that I don't want to see, that I wish I didn't see ... so it's not always such a good thing to be a seer."
She followed Miyu through the door and spotted the washbasins right away.
"Oh, this is lovely," she beamed, looking at the ceramic basins and pitchers. "It's all so quaint! It reminds me of home."
She moved to start washing her hands.
Just at that moment, Pen walked into the dining room ahead of Elrohir and Daeron, the two men ushering him almost like a criminal. His expression was stricken as he headed in, and he took a seat at their directive at the table.
"Are all guests treated like this?" he asked in a dismayed tone - though it was possible, for those who really knew him, that he might be joking.

Elrohir's face was impassive, though he was trying very hard not to smile.
"No," he told the man, sitting directly across from him while Daeron took a seat beside him. "You're special. Not everyone we meet is traveling with a family member."
Haradhel reached across and swatted Elrohir on the shoulder. "Stop it," she grinned at him. "He's our guest, treat him like one."

Miyu decided she would wash her hands too, she grinned from ear to ear. Besides it felt good after being outside for most of the day.
Kara giggled at that, "I hope they didn't traumatize you too badly."
Poor boy, thankfully nothing like that was given a chance to happen back home yet.
