Kitsune sub "No Valatar wouldn't do that.. once he shows disfavor its permanent. Which is why I have to get you out of here and now." she said lunging for the serpent. ((sorry for the late reply)) The shadow snake burst into a black smoke and reformed behind her, "The drow are cunning and manipulative by nature, especially her, she will find a way."

"I seldom take anything personally Jabress Lithura. You'd be either dead or far worse by now if you didn't suspect poison or at least enchantment from an unknown Drow."
-Val'atar stepped out from the dark shadow of the very chair she sat in, his body clad in battle armor, his face hidden behind a shielding mask, ebony horns above it catching the magic light of the room. Not an inch of his features were visible, only his red glowing eyes.. and he made not a sound as he moved around to a nearby chair.
Seeing him, the slave stifles a scream and drops to her knees, her belly on the floor. The creature seemed terrified, trembling like a frightened child.. a fact that Val'atar seems to ignore as he takes a seat.
"I am glad to see you accepted my invitation. Your new to my city and I like to make it a point to get to know those who live within its boundaries. I trust that you've been treated well and properly entertained in my absence?"

Lithura's sharp gaze carefully followed Valatar the moment he made his appearance. She had not sensed his arrival so upon seeing him was a bit of a surprise. She welcomed him with her smile as her eyes scanned at his armor and appearance. She saw the horns protruding out of his head above his mask and concluded him to be a half drow such as herself. Only he was mixed with deamon. Which would explain why she could not read him as easily as anyone else.
She then looked down at the screaming servant on the floor near him and looked casually back up at him and gave a slow smile, "Yes I was. Thank you. Some people don't seem to like to entertain their guests as they wait. So I thank you for that polite gesture. I'd like to clarify however that I am apart of no house, I was considering of setting up a house here but I don't really have any allies or anyone to inhabit my house. Thus why, I'm trying to maintain a reputation. I would gladly share my services with you whenever you may need me. I have studied both into the necromancy and psionic studies."

-nodding, Val'atar watches his guest.. his glowing sanguine gaze lingering over her figure for a moment as he digests the words- "I accept your offer Lithura. I am curious though, are you seeing to join a house.. or just keeping yourself open to the city at large for the time being?"

[OH s**t I MADE A POST]
The more grisly elements of her task finished, Serethiel had returned to the mundane procedures of intelligence, extracting information from the loose tongues of street scum and drow alike. Any one of the savage elves could be coerced into spilling useful tidbits, provided the appropriate bait was dangled before their noses. Wealth had always been an important asset to any high-class citizen of Au Shinduago, but its usefulness quickly paled in comparison to the treasures knowledge had to offer. The barter of such had even become a business here, with merchants in the seedy trade offering their findings to only the highest bidder.
Serethiel looked out from her tiny window, which afforded her a view of the city. Glowing in shades of murky green and purples, it seemingly pulsed with unnatural light. Too preoccupied on other thoughts, the half-drow paid little attention to the intricate craftsmanship this time around. Instead, she gazed across the masses of homes, noble and peasant alike, and gave a sigh caught between contempt and pity. Between them, she imagined trillions of ever-growing silken strands woven in intricate patterns, each connected one to the other in some way, branching through the streets and beyond. It was the complex network that played out in her mind every time she surveyed the ancient mass of stalactites. A web of lies.
Quietly, she turned to set about cleaning her tools. The mongrel often wondered privately how a society could thrive on such chaos(Even Lolthite strongholds had more established routines than this melting pot), but even amidst all the treachery, there were still rules. Brutal, inconvenient... even foolish, perhaps; but without at least those to uphold it, the land Between Light and Dark would surely crumble to the depths.
Dismissing her thoughts, the female shook her head. Other things had been troubling Serethiel. Nearly a tenday had passed since she'd slain the Captain, but flashes of the event still plagued her nightly. Her eyes were sunken and dry from lack of sleep. She'd long (and gratefully) relinquished that evil blade to Val'atar, but the halfbreed could swear on the pits themselves she could still hear Mortuis' seductive laugh ringing in the back of her mind. Not to mention the equally horrible sonance of that wretched cave witch. Bitterly, the young assassin supposed Ilharn was well aware of this, and probably even pleased. Oiling her scabbards, she spat a mental curse in the Elven tongue for extra measure.
She wisely dismissed her anger. Serethiel would be a fool to attempt betrayal. After all, she had been the instrument of death for the last person to seek it, and his soul now lay wrapped around the b*****d's neck, forever condemned as his plaything. Her reverence for the master had worn thin as of late, but that was not enough to spur disobedience. Dejectedly, she supposed nothing ever would be.
The halfling respected him enough to avoid giving him reason to ship her off through a one-way portal to an eternity of torture. That alone was compelling reason to uphold her obeisance. Thus, she retained her duties without complaint. There was nothing to be gained from it, save her own survival, but life was perhaps the most valued treasure of all here in the Underark. One could never guess when the next blade would snuff it out.
With an uncertain shrug, Serethiel stepped out of her quarters and shut the door behind her. Perhaps she would find solace as she once did in her training, but somehow, in her weary mind, she doubted it.

Erelala moved to her chamber doors, the commotion outside them having broken her concentration and put her in an even fouler mood. Throwing the massive door open her eyes locked onto the furry tails of the pest she knew was behind the noise.
"You mangy flea ridden pain from abbadon." she screeched out throwing one of her blades and trimming the fur off the tip of one of the many tails. "Shut that mouth of yours before I get a muzzle to put on it permenantly."

The twin headed serpent quickly slipped around behind Eralala's legs defensively, their gaze locked on the multi-tailed one with a partially triumphant pair of grins.

Valatar Druugiir -nodding, Val'atar watches his guest.. his glowing sanguine gaze lingering over her figure for a moment as he digests the words- " I accept your offer Lithura. I am curious though, are you seeing to join a house.. or just keeping yourself open to the city at large for the time being?" ((My computer has crashed and I don't know when it will be fixed. I apologize for the delay.)) "I do not think that I would have so many opportunities available for me if I was not open. To answer your question more clearly, I plan to remain open until I see when it is time for me to set up home base and play the game from there. Changes have already started to occur in Undergaia. I do not see this as a threat. Though it does make life more interesting," she said this more to herself as she starred down at the wine in the chalice and swirled it around for a split second and took another sip.

With a screech and howl, all the fur bristling on the tails making them look fuller..fluffier. Burning green eyes turned and scowled at Erelala. "You witch..you demon.. Lord Valatar will hear of this~" she screamed before running off to find him.

Erelala regarded the serpent momentarily before sparing a final glance to the mutt that was running away, a few tails tucked as she did. "Good riddance." she said and gave a turn moving back within her chambers.

"lady Erelala" "we were sent her at the beheast of lord Reivan" "to guide you to the temple when the time came" the two heads spoke calmly remaining just outside her chambers until invited in. "He also asked us to act as a leyline should you need to contact him."

Erelala turned and regarded the twin headed creature. "I suppose then it is time for me to keep up my end of the bargain. " she spoke flatly even though the imp that ran up to her side narrowed it eyes on the snake. Pulling on her cloak she grabbed a few "trinkets" as well to adorn her body as she traveled. Turning she faced the creature sent to escort her.

-Inclining his head slightly, Val'atar signals ever so slightly that he understands her meaning before allowing her to continue. When it seemed she had finished, he leans back and crosses his arms, watching her silently for several minutes-
~Staring, not a muscle moving as his glowing eyes trace her form and peer into her soul.. his mental powers testing her mind to see if he could enter her thoughts and gleam anything. She had said she was a mind mage.. but what did her skills compare to those he had learned from the ancient hunter~
-Satisfied, he leans forward, unwrapping his arms to grasp the chair arms- "You speak of the Spider Queen.. of her latest move to regain a toe hold here. Of the creatures that have begun to invade this world and of the puppets that of late stalk the streets.. xas?"
-Rising, he steps to the table and removes his mask, then his cloak.. now nearly nude from the waist up, he turns back to her with a sly smile and a teasing look in his beautiful ruby eyes- "There is little I do not see and nothing I do not hear in my city. So.. tell me what you think, honestly.. about these problems."

Lithura could feel his gaze penetrate through her as she felt him lightly trying to open her mind. She kept herself calm however. Knowing that the moment she started to panic or stragedize he would then move more deeply into her mind.
Instead she allowed him only to see the surface. And that was thoughts on the rumors of war that stirred up months before but quickly dissipated, the silence of Kiaransalee, the death of the High Priestess in the Temple of Bones, the meeting with the serpent in the temple, etc. Her plans rested deeply in the back of her subconscious as if she had forgotten about them.
She then set the chalice down on the table carefully. When she replied back to him, her voice had changed. It had become airy but with an almost seductive accent. She held on to her words lightly as her hawk-like yellow eyes traveled up Valatar's chest and looked up into his face; into his eyes, "If you see these events as problems then I'm sorry to hear that. As I had stated before, they are merely opportunities in my eyes. Personally I think these changes will lower the guards of the people slightly. Thus giving the chance of an assassin's knife to slit the throat with stealth and ease... so to speak. I do have some plans that I think will help my allies. That's why I was so eager to meet you. I've grown quite fond of Au'shinduago and I like what you've done to the place. But tell me Lord Valatar, if you had a chance to gain more power... would you?"

Felis Spoke before his sister could on this matter, "there is no need to hurry Lady Erelala, Lord Reivan has been... delayed, in Ulorbbath" he hissed, "We are simply here now so that all may be ready when the time does come."
